Sigh, just when I thought they were finally going to leave the spa They go back in.
I do hope it’s not actually Spring there.

Apparently the pets enjoyed the fanservice arc as much as we did... even if it was for different reasons

Sasha’s best boys find their way
to a freedom that’s just beyond the spa.
But, when it comes to testing it out,
they realise just how lucky they are.
Kevin’s noble toe of doubt reaches out
and touches upon the slushy ground
and, because he thinks of the wet being cold,
it’s enough to turn the big dog around.
Fox watches his friend being brave,
his paws kept right behind his back.
He knows how cold it is out there,
he probably just ‘heard something crack’.

That’s actually a really good question. They found him but they never followed up because of the blizzard. I doubt they locked in a storage closet or anything. I wonder what will actually happen if they try to press charges against him. Knowing Keene he’ll pay them off and Fox will stand there like “what?!”Gbr23 wrote:Is... Outside intervention now appears inescapable. But who can enter this sauna of Circe without bewitchment to its tranquilizing sultry fumes? Sergeant Ralph? The Sandwich "parents"? Jeeves? The wolves? A Celestial or even an Infernal? ............

Oh, the snow finally melted down and so the traffic can resume its activity. Now there's again a proper reason to fine Keene for blocking the road with the deluxe spa. Eheh, it's still too cold for your paws. You're always the usual, Kevin, but Fox has a point saying that. Okay, stay inside a little more, also if maybe now you're all tired of the spa?

I think they needed the money from the fine to pay for the things that Mungo accidentally broke.Argent wrote:I lost track, where's Mungo?

I wouldn't mind if he did another Pridelands holodeck thing like Imaginate TOO! Still one of the best chapters.Adoring Fan wrote:You know.... I was reading this and i randomly thought to myself. With Rick diversifying these days i wonder if he will actually make "Pridelands" into a real thing.

It’s annoying that Peanut ruined that arc. Even if you like Spot (superdog) do not even try to tell me it wasn’t annoying that due to that the game ended just as it was getting interesting. That complaint being put out there, if Rick can come up with another explanation for it, I’d love another holodeck arc.fenrirblack wrote:I wouldn't mind if he did another Pridelands holodeck thing like Imaginate TOO! Re: 2019/03/04 - Cold Feet
Real quick, I want to point out that both Fox and Kevin are pathetic in this scene.
Actually I thought that was the best part. Well maybe not Peanut walking out but Grape and Peanut arguing and breaking the illusion. Plus it did pave the way to them being honest about their feelings and one of the funnier scenes. Anyway, it would still be cool to have a longer arc that did solely focus on the pridelands without drama but kept the humor. The entire arc was Rick at his best.Gameb18oy wrote:It’s annoying that Peanut ruined that arc. Re: 2019/03/04 - Cold Feet
It may have been annoying, but the arc was hinting early on that it was going to be an arc that snowballed into disaster around the beginning, so i wouldn't call it as bad as it sounds.Gameb18oy wrote:It’s annoying that Peanut ruined that arc. Also, Rick would have to bring back all the magical stuff the fans complained about over the years =P
However, i wouldn't mind seeing people doing an imaginate arc about PRidelands. And Res gets in on it. now that would be interesting.

Re: 2019/03/04 - Cold Feet
I know the entire "Game" thing was poorly designed but the rest of the magic stuff was interesting. It just needed more structure and order. That's honestly what comes from continued use and finding the right fit. Like the time Peanut and Sabrina went to gods know where. If there was something more solid to go on it would have been really cool. If you want to talk about multiverse theory and infinite possibilities you come talk to me. I have a map literally right next to me that is so overly complicated but makes sense if you give it time and enough explanation.GameCobra wrote:

Yes, Res needs to totally get in on it! Plus it wouldn't be that hard now that Kitsune is living in the area. If he can turn D&D with Lester into a thing then recreating Pridelands would be cake.
Re: 2019/03/04 - Cold Feet
As much as I disliked the spot stuff in that arc... will admit it was breath of fresh to be reminded there was a time there were noticeable consequences to some of Peanut’s actions. I kinda feel like he treats Peanut similar to Kari lately, without the behind the scenes reasons for why. I do worry I sound like I hate the character with how much I complain about how he acts, but I really would just like for him to feel more important to the story, and aside from the puzzle master thing, it’s hard for me to remember the last time he did something major in the overarching story

Re: 2019/03/04 - Cold Feet
Team A has never really done anything for the overall plot. Peanut has had a hand in some major events but they were small in the grand scheme of things such as the Puzzle Master thing. Team B was the ones who handled the overarching plot while Team A was more for comic relief and the more zany stories.Gameb18oy wrote:As much as I disliked the spot stuff in that arc... will admit it was breath of fresh to be reminded there was a time there were noticeable consequences to some of Peanut’s actions. That last part is the bit that you frequently forget to express, so yes, your harping on Peanut's bad points does come across as rather negative toward himGameb18oy wrote:I do worry I sound like I hate the character with how much I complain about how he acts, but I really would just like for him to feel more important to the story, and aside from the puzzle master thing, it’s hard for me to remember the last time he did something major in the overarching story

A Pridelands game could be done by smartphones and VR harnesses. No magic, no mana, no Tarot the Holodeck. Just an immersive game environment that Rez bring to B. Gardens as a beta test.
And with only loaded playable characters, there would be no Spot.

I have to admit, that when Kevin and Fox stuck their toes out to see if it was OK to leave, I thought that they decided to go in because they were enjoying the spa too much. NOT because the snow was cold.

Re: 2019/03/04 - Cold Feet
I'm sure we will get the explanation that Peanut talked with Res off-panel to include him or that Grape did as a gift for Peanut. You know if there is gonna be some sort of video-game about it, Peanut will be involved somehow since both he and Grape were the first pets from Babylon Gardens to interact with Res.
