I'm curious how this is meant to make anything better. Now he just destroyed a spa and caused a bunch of water damage to the neighborhood. He could easily still go to jail for both.

Well the K-9 unit could've been trapped in there and they got blasted off from the explosion.

The next strip will probably be Ralph soaking wet, staring down at him while Keene gives some flimsy reasoning for how he is NOT going to jail for this.

Seriously, all those pets but not a single human. How did not a single human go into the spa even out of curiosity? I mean a spa was parked in the middle of the neighborhood and all the pets were there. I would have gone in there just to see what was going on.

So anyone find the silhouettes you can tell whose who a little funny? Jessica’s looks extremely annoyed rather than scared. I know the idea of a spa service putting in a self destruction sequence is ludicrous, but I’m suddenly realizing if it was built with it as s feature it might not be illegal for Keene to detonate it in the Housepets universe... Ralph now has more of a reason for getting handcuff happy, but still, something neat to think about

That or the spa company just caters specifically to the Bruce Wayne grade of obscenely rich eccentrics, for whom stuff like self-destruct buttons are par for the course, terms like "overkill" and "practicality" are unheard of, and "legality" is considered a nebulous concept at best.

I doubt it. I don’t think anyone would actually care enough to bother to try anything and they are on private property.

The animals could also argue that they were in fear for their lives because of the alarm Keene pulled so they didn’t have time to grab their collars. I think the most Ralph will do is either call or have them call their parents/owners or other responsible party so they can be be picked up. (Such as the Sandwich parents for Maxwell and Tarot or Mr. Byron for Sabrina.) As for Keene, he isn’t, you’ll pardon the pun, out of hot water, yet. Ralph could charge with endangering the lives of the animals at the spa, and destruction of property, if he leased the spa.

And, looks that there was even an hundred of pets in it.

Now I REALLY hope that there is no way that Keene gets off unless Ralph decides that there is no more spa so no problem he has to deal with.

Still, Keene still could be liable for the property damage when the wreckage rains down and flooding the streets making them icy and more likely for people to trip.
