I actually kind of miss seeing Max and Bino together. It's rare but satisfying. They have a weird chemistry that was never delved into.

Duchess has the upside as a girlfriend compared to other girls that she actually wants to be with him, but she's a really bad influence. I don't think she's worth it.

Yeah, I was actually just re-reading that arc when I started this strip- I feel like Max and Bino's relationship has so much potential too, so why not, you know?

Great work TappyToo! Nice to see Grape looking rested and spending time with Max. Bino needs to up his standards (or get some) and get a better girlfriend. Than again this time Duchess only threatened to harm the phone and not Bino so maybe ol’ Bino is making progress.

Like everyone else, loved this strip. It felt completely natural in the HP setting. The characters were right on point.

You have to wonder what Bino gets out of this relationship? Or is he just that self-deluded?

I was thinking about why we don't see more of them together in the strip, and I think it's just that it would wear fast if we did. It's essentially one joke, he loves her and she uses him. I'm not sure you could go to that well often before the joke wore completely thin. Unless one or both of them were going to move on and actually learn something.

Might be funny to discover Lois was Duchesses owner....

Wouldn't be the first time that someone pretended to be from a higher social class. Might be funny to see that she's a totally different dog at home and puts on airs in public. I dunno, I just like speculating wildly.

One of the common themes in this thread is suggesting Bino should get a new girlfriend, but who would that be? A lot of people on this forum don't like Bino, so why should a girl dog? He has improved, but historically he hasn't been a very good boyfriend. There aren't a lot of options for female dogs not currently in a relationship in Babylon Gardens, either.

It seems like Bino has actually gotten the basics of being in a relationship all wrong. You aren't supposed to be treated nasty by your girlfriend or boyfriend as a means of thinking that is what love is. Somebody needs to sit him down and explain him that soon.

Bino strikes me as someone who's better off as a perpetual bachelor. Relationships aren't for everyone.

And I typically draw rather large folk anyways, so it's still hard to establish a nice in-between.

I kinda like the idea that Bino has gained weight because it could lead to shenanigans farther down the line. Plus it would it give more precedence to why Bino and Duchess shouldn't be together if it is literally bad for his heath.

Actually, you're pretty close to how Rick's been drawing him in the most recent art style. At least, very similar to this strip:

It would be nice someday to see a couple of redeeming features for Bino, even if it's just some perspective. It would be nice to see him someday have a... maybe not a redemptive arc... but perhaps something that fills out his character a touch.

No one has mentioned the Switch. We should appreciate that Bino has evolved from a ball to an actual game system. Using the pink and green joy cons was a nice touch because it represents him (matches his collar) and Duchess

Jeez, when you look at that one he does look like he’s gotten more husky especially compared to the actual husky. Then others he looks more scrawny again. Jeff doesn’t mess around.
