New RP Type/Section

Hi, all.

So, we're curious. What would you guys think of a new RP subforum for more casual and less structured RPs? Instead of having GMs and OOCs and mod approval prior to starting, these will be little RPs with no more than four players per RP that any forum user can start whenever they like. There'd be no restrictions in terms of settings or posting rate and no need to create an OOC thread or character sheets. Literally just jump in and start playing. Normal Housepets! forums rules obviously apply still. This new RP section would run concurrently with our current RP section.

This sounds nice! It might help the newer players learn the basics before jumping into the more official rps.

Ah, memories of the 4Kid roleplay days are coming back to me, granted on a smaller level. I'd be for this, to jump in every once in awhile.

Yeah, this would be an awesome idea. Would help new people get involved easier and give ideas to those that need some for other RPs, along with giving those in the official RPs a nice break here and there.

I can actually see this being useful for having a cross-over between existing roleplays where a small meeting between a different set of characters could expand both existing roleplays.

I dropped my vote in the 'Don't care either way' ballot, because that's exactly what I thought after reading the OP. It's not for me, I've had my share of private and enclosed RPs, but it'd be pretty fun for those having way too many OCs to play as or way too many ways to play as their OCs.

Okay, so the official decision from Diss is that because the reaction was quite mixed we won't make a new subforum straight away.

But don't despair! You CAN still create the small RPs in the IC/main RP forum! Just remember that they have to be NO MORE THAN FOUR PLAYERS. That means FOUR PLAYERS OR LESS! You CAN create a RP with just yourself and one other person if you wish!

Normal Housepets forums rules apply.

If we get enough interest in these little RPs then they'll get their own section.

So, go nuts! Have fun!

Not at all.
This RP is specifically for threads dedicated to RP in the RP forum. It has nothing to do with random posts everyone does in-character around the rest of the boards.

Those two specific lines seem to be taken out of context.

I believe the intended meaning is that these types of R.P. are not to have any form of exception in moderation outside the typical setting establishment for continual instead of contextual role play.

The expression "Go nuts" is probably meant to mean "Have fun with your new tool for exploring the world idea presented in the Housepets! comic."

Perhaps a bit wordy of an explanation, but I do hope it helps.
