Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
That all sounds right. I think Hotep just got a little confused as to where we are. I think he thought Gulley, Tackle, Moses and Lawrence were still on the boat although we're actually up next to the forest. I didn't imagine us as having actually entered it yet. Gulley and Tackle were being cautious with all the carnivores around. Pinch could have crossed the beach but it would have been risky.
If we are in the woods and Moses and Lawrence are drifting downstream, they'll need to look out for the 2 foot waterfall which is just inside the treeline.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Moses and Lawrence were just inside the treeline, and I assumed you were too instead of standing around on the beach where everyone could see you.
When did Tiki go back to the boat?

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
I was thinking right on it. I thought you said they'd come out of it but I could be wrong. But you're right, it would make more sense to be in the treeline rather than outside it.
Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Wasn't the waterfall just a tad farther upstream though?

Maybe slightly. It's not too far inside the forest though.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Is Jin still on the ship or did he come ashore?
Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Unless there's a post saying he came ashore around the time the boats landed, he's still on the ship. Which is probably having a party because the Captain and the First Officer are both away.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
The last post about him is on the ship and there's no mention of him elsewhere so I'll assume he's on the ship still.
Look out, Jin! Prepare for a seagull divebomb!

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
He was stalking Gulley and Tackle through the treetops while they walked along the forest floor and he fell and landed on top of them and knocked himsefl out.
Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
OH good, I wasn't the only one slightly confused.
I figured what he meant so I didn't say anything and kept going. I figured he didn't know what he did.pinch lay on the boat and soon woke to tack shaking him, he raised his head up and the sat up rubbing his own head. "oh good day tack, am I disturbing?" pinch asked

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
I think Hotep was a little confused since we referenced Pepito's and Gulley's boat trip down the river.
Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Oh yeh, they have some awesome bugs in the tropics. Good eating for a rat, now I think of it.

Not to mention tropical poisonous frogs.

No rat-scale pistols, though. Unless that gun was actually in Blacks paw.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
But Pinch had better have a really good explanation for his behavior when he's found out.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
I feel nervous now, I just got a nervous buzz as if we all are god modding and about to be kicked out, or that feeling when a caps behind you when driving and think hes going for you
Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Why would you say we're god modding? I'm basing Gulley's theory on his intelligence and the fact that he reads a lot. But still, I am wondering why Tiki didn't find the treasure house on his pass through. Bad luck? Or poor searching method?

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
I suggested there might be more for him to find, but I guess the otter's more interested in playing than the hard work of searching.
Also remember, the island isn't big enough to support a viable population of larger predators.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Caracara hawks are better predator for this it feeds on small animals and fish from the sea. In this it flys very high and dives on its prey. Most islands have a small hawk population.
Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Oh, yes, lots of birds and insects, but the largest mammals are going to be agouti*. There were Mayans or something a few hundred years ago, but their civilization had already collapsed even before the Spanish arrived.
It's OK for the rats to come up with theories that happen to be wrong, mind you.
And it's also possible this skeleton has something to do with Patrick's lost memory, but it's probably too old for that.
* Now I think of it, agouti would be large animals as far as the rats are concerned. There's also lots of rat- and mouse-sized rodents.

So there's not likely to be any other humans on the island, right?

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Character storylines are always fun. Heck what if the story line found an old aztec/mayan lost island that has a small civilization on it? Or blacks story line !ave the ship battle blacks old crew and loot the ship!

I rather like the idea of a couple of fugitives on the run with their stolen loot falling foul of the natives.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Or natives capturing blacks, dune, patrick and maybe others then having them escape.
Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Except, as I imagine it, the natives are long long dead. Having been crushed against the cove walls as a storm swept them in. People getting wierded out by a lonely, deserted, maybe cursed place is always fun too. :)Not at this late date in history.
