Also, unless anyone decides they want to pad things out some more, I'll assume everyone's done for the in-game day?

Corp's currently under a sink but he'll go back to the office after.
Can those people looking to drive the plot kindly do so?

I'll probably have Colorado "help" the lads sleep through the night so the gas can wear off a bit more. In the morning I'll do some plot-driving stuff though.

Great then. I'll skip to the Tarn station in my next post. Also, first person to figure out what movie my post was referencing gets to decide one future plot.

Ta. I can only have Corp investigate so much, y'know, without the protagonist(s) doing something.Hlaoroo wrote:I'll probably have Colorado "help" the lads sleep through the night so the gas can wear off a bit more. In the morning I'll do some plot-driving stuff though.

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
I don't know where you left off but, from what I recal, it was supposed to be a pleasant day on the federations steelhaven. However enternal drama from the crews head staff caused an argument with Mayotte that resulted in his punishment. Mayotte was allowed to be transferred to another ship or station, away from this crew.
As routine tasks were done throughout the day, the crew discovered a murder and Barry was sent to apprehend the killer, which resulted in him getting a wrench to the face. The killer escaped and made his way to the cafeteria where he attempted to make Sam his hostage. Sam resisted and was poisoned for his efforts, also shocked by one of the characters who's name escapes me.
Sam was sent to the med bay to recover and the crew went to eat, there were chatter and the young kid that was rescued with his family from the insignia base the team resent my raided tried to adjust to normalcy. After some character building Hlaroos characters were trapped inside their rooms, they managed to make a brief sos that was answered by Cheif Davidstow and Barry. Barry was not as equipped as well as Corp and breathed in a small amount of gas, which caused an adverse allergic reaction. We nearly lost the boys but mostly everyone is alive, though not well yet. And the captain and the chief are trying to find the second insignia spy. Who seems to be very intelligent and crafty as he or she as remained hidden for some time and has been using scapegoats and decoys.

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
So, in order to keep things ambiguous (and because people aren't taking my hints with regards to the museum), we're having a mini-time-skip!!!!
Seriously though, I had this whole plot planned out for the museum, and it's going to be kinda awkward if Lewis is the only one there.

The boys are on oxygen in the medbay. They can't go anywhere, sorry. Keep the museum in mind though! We can do it another time.

So I feel behind a little, and then things went very fast, and I got a little intimated. But I want to jump back in, anyone have a good place where I can do that without disrupting a scene?

Yep. Completely equal to humans in every way. Except for height. That's why, instead of having a Token Black Friend, people tend to have a Token Human Friend, someone who can reach things on the top shelf.

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
There are a lot of shortcuts in sign language iirc. You can skip certain words and it'll still make sense. Maybe words like "The" don't get specifically used. I don't know, I dont use sign language in real life.Welsh Halfwit wrote:The Doc should put his hands in water now. They must be nearly on fire from how fast they were moving.

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
That's right. I've done a little research on it for Conall's character. I'm by no means an expert but you're right that a lot of little words are skipped and sometimes other words and phrases can be shortened too. It's also possible to combine signs to make things go faster. Sign language can be surprisingly simple yet surprisingly complicated.
