For interest's sake, the real reason cats and dogs fight (in our world, at least) is because of a breakdown in communication between them. Both species communicate largely via body language. To a dog a raised, wagging tail means "I'm friendly/happy/excited/I want to play". To a cat it means "Back off/I'm not happy/I'm going to fight or attack" So a dog sees a happy cat who wants to play but the cat sees a dangeroud, threatening dog. Thus the misunderstanding and fighting.

it's up to you really , since the owners are pretty much side characters/NPCs , it's not that important for them to be there or not

Like many other mountain lions Senka's fur is a tan/orangish color. Her irises is a bright green color. For a cougar, she is on the slightly shortish(er) size. She has has a lithe body type and a runner's build. Senka has the typical brown marks on her muzzle that is seen on many cougars. She also has a scar that runs down the side of the body, slightly visible because of the short mountain lion fur.

-Personality-
You wouldn't really call Senka a team player... Brave and independent, Senka carries herself with a slight pride that comes from being a feral (as opposed to being a pet). She prides herself in the fact that she was raised in the wild and won't have anything to do with things that can associate her to domesticity. Her pride enables her to speak what's on her mind and tell the truth most of the time. Her history of life in the wild makes it difficult for her to form friendly relationships with others and will usually respond negatively to strangers and newcomers (until she warms up to them). Instincts still control most of her thought process when faced with a problem and her paranoia streak with humans is making it hard to integrate her into this new life. Though Senka is pretty straightforward thinking, she is able to interprets the mood of something based on their body language (this is a trait she develops during her life in the wild).
But despite her perceptiveness of others she lacks the ability to comprehend human technology, usually leading to broken TV sets and wrecked radios (she's learning, but its a slow process). Among other things movie/TV references, historical references, and witty puns usually float over her head. She also lacks the ability to read the English language.

How is Mercury related to water? I don't see the connection between a barren planet and water, and Mercury was the Roman version of Hermes the messenger god and king of theives. So what's the connection?

@LovingCorgi: How does Koa plan on getting into the tree with a bunged up leg? And where does he intend making the treehouse for that matter? John won't be happy if he's in the woods at the moment, although he might, might be persuaded to allow it right on the edge.

He is at the edge...for now. when it's safer he's going to find a couple of trees. right now he's not climbing anything, he's trying to find some people to help him do it. and until he can climb he's planing on installing a pulley system.

You know, I bet Cinnamon would enjoy helping. And I'm sure that the Waltons would be glad to have him out of their hair for a time. It shouldn't be overly hard for Koa to get a hold of him on the phone at the clinic.

Cinnamon has his own phone, remember.

I doubt Flynn thought to get his number though and I'm pretty sure Koa didn't either.

He smells the air a moment trying to pick up Koa's scent "Smells like he went inside and err maybe that way," he points to the forest, "He was talking about it a lot too."

I would be really surprise if Koa's treehouse is above yet another tunnel entrance
