I still need to work on those new character forms for Liz and Lewis. Though I’ve finally decided on what their powers will be. Liz is basically an Animorph now, while Lewis’ power is a bit more difficult to explain. In simplest terms, he can designate a sort of line between two things that he can use to propel them either towards or away from each other. I picked this one because it’s power is dependent on how creative you are with it. You can use it to just repeatedly smack two enemies into each other, or you can use to fling yourself across the city faster than any car.

so... he could do something silly like hold a wiimote wheel infront of him, set to pull him forward, make himself flot a set distance off the ground via repulsion just strong enough to overcome gravity, and race around making engine noises?

..........Theoretically he could do that. However, Lewis views himself as a very serious sort of person, and wouldn’t do something so rediculous without some kind of benefit.

also, fair warning kol's fighting style may devolve into 'Grevous Harm With a Body' and/or 'Metronomic Man Mashing' if the battery on her staff gets low. or she gets disarmed. Or that's just more convenient.

Yeah, if I say vehicle, it's safe to assume it has something inside. If it's an armed offensive vehicle (as opposed to a transport) it's likely got people inside. For a tank or scout vehicle, I would specify "automated" or "unmanned" in there somewhere if it was a drone. Like, I'd call it a UGV or a UAV or an automatic tank or something.

Yes, that is why I said some. You could have all sorts of horrible enemies planned that I know nothing about, and I don’t want to deal with them yet!

Fades is ripped directly from Elder Scrolls Online. He's one of my first characters there. It isn't easy to figure out how his powers would translate to an RP that didn't have HP and MP and such. Restoration spells typically only restore HP and provide defensive or offensive buffs, but they don't heal status effects normally. I translated that into healing minor breaks and bruises and external bleeding and restoring blood that has been lost, but it's kind of hard to figure out what else they would do since we don't have HP here.

Eh... for consistency's sake I'll edit that part out.

You know, it might help hivemind's arguments if he stopped referring to the Ghrakkal by kobor's preferred derogatory...

Kaalok is the root for 'mind' in most Ghrakkal languages, it's also the word that the Kaal derived their name from, or more specificaly from "Meto Kaalok Ewh", the name of the disease (on an unrelated note, all diseases have namesthat end in Ewh, because Ewh is the god of death). eenyhoo, the suffix -Kal is also derived from it and means 'clever' when attached to a noun. it's presence in their term for their own kind is coincidence, but Kaal tend to cut that part of the name off (Ghrakk instead of Ghrakkal) on purpose as a jab at their inteligence.

i couldn't figure out a way to point this out IC though, as neither twin has any motivation to correct hiveminds unknowing use ofthe word.

Bleh... I've dug myself into a hole on this one. I didn't know about the derogatory implications. I thought that was what they were called because I kept forgetting their real name, so I just looked and tried to find where it was used. Apparently I got it from the wrong place. Xp

I feel like you could bring attention to Kobor's use of the word "containment" vs his reaction to their presence with "blind rage and hatred." It seems like it wouldn't be containment unless somehow in the midst of said hatred they act to disable instead of kill. This remains to be seen and could possibly be thrown out completely considering Talya had to stop him. She probably wouldn't if he were just going to disable the ghrak and not kill it. Short point: Is it containment or justified/hidden genocide?
Though maybe Kobor could argue that it's not revenge if it's an evolved species trait... But that just leads to Hive's argument of "We're going to train it out of you."

I dunno. I was never good at debates.

he doesn't fully remember it, and won't unless somone tries to jog his memory, (one of the benefits of the ferral state) but it did happen.

Hivemind doesn't currently care if he is fully correct in his assumptions. He just wants to be correct enough to convince Kobor that he needs to acknowledge the Ghrakkal is a species of individuals, some of which have no interest in fighting, and that there are better options to deal with the threat than the "kill first ask questions never" strategy. This strategy becomes an instant liability when facing something like Odium.
