Also, sorry for the double post, but just a reminder: As I am flying out on Thursday and need Wednesday to prepare, I will be writing the next update tomorrow. Funeral and burial were yesterday. I'm feeling better today, but since a lot of my family is flying back to their homes today I'm going to be spending time with them.

Ralph, if you still want to join, there are a couple ways you can go about doing it. You could do what several people have already done: Have a portal randomly open near any of the current character interactions and just drop the character in. Or, if you want them to already be there, I would recommend they be on Celica (the planet the team is on) near the town they're in and having just witnessed the hand of Diligitis like Welsh suggested.

Also, while I will admit to using the words teleport and portal a bit interchangeably, I stand by Liz’ point, because as you said on page 61 of the main thread:

I think most doors are like the TARDIS doors, leading from one point to another and both are directly linked and unadjustable.

Some, however, are like Doctor Strange's portal doors. Open ended and adjustable.

To clarify, that was referring to every door in the outer 50 miles of the ship. It's part of ship security. Many ordinary doors in the inner sections of the ship can be used to generate portals, but doors in private homes are not among them.

I still do Cyber. I think I'll do the random portal thing. I just need to figure out what to write....

So uh... I dont think I can join anytime soon, at least for this month. I got exams coming and due to the recent outbreak its been hectic here. The university I am at decided to cram our lessons as much as possible which gave me no time to rp at time being. I still do want to rp here. Also since my character havent joined the rp yet, Im gonna change and refine some of the description about him. So I will post it again sometime in the future to be checked. Um yea. So I think I'm going to be writing my next post tomorrow. I just can't seem to get motivation to write right now.

In the meantime, I got another piece of artwork of Eira. Mostly because she's the only BoH character I have a reference for. Also, I just like her as a character.

I probably won’t have my post up by the time you start writing yours, since Tsukuyomi is going to be giving a bit of an exposition dump about the New London attack in my next post, but I’ll try.

Welsh, Lego, can you two perhaps hurry up with Jenny and Kolt? Neon's character and half of Deske's characters are waiting on the Ibis to leave. The mainline story can't progress until the Ibis takes off.

So, while we wait for Cyber’s next post, I’m going to do something I haven’t done in a while and ask you guys a question about your characters. What is one way your characters might be considered odd by other members of their species/occupation/social circles/etc?
Kolt, in spite of the fact that he’s a least a head taller than every other member of the team, is actually rather short by the standards of his species. Most Concertians are at least seven or eight feet tall (with some getting over ten), so his six and a half feet makes him rather tiny.
Quint developed sapience in spite of the fact that’s one the of things his creators were specifically trying to avoid while making him. Plus, you know, he’s a bioengineered symbiote. That’s already a little bit odd.
Lewis is a rarity amongst children of active Captains, in that he hasn’t wound up abusing his position or become desperate to escape the military lifestyle. The fact that he wound up thriving on the Steelhaven makes him rather unique.
Liz, well, most people don’t have a romantic history with one of the most notorious pirates in history. There’s also the fact that she’s risen so high in the command structure in spite of what her father’s done, but that’s spoilers, even to her.

Well, Jenny doesn't really HAVE a peoples so there's nothing novel about her in that regard(!)
Cherry Seena is from a race that, as she just explained, doesn't really 'get out' much.
Corp is a little braver than most Mice.
Jaken has no black fur at all on his body thanks to the chemical bath.
Keeva hasn't really spent that much time around Felines.
Corvis wears clothes. A lot more than most Celicans.

Tatiana is a little difficult to pin down, she doesn't really have a species, or a planet to draw differences to, but I suppose her oddity would be how she didn't really have much loyalty to anyone back on the Rim. Whereas little unofficial clubs would form among mercenaries, with some even willing to disregard missions for other club members, Tatiana could fit in with just about any of them but never staying, whether they be dashing rogues or ruthless monsters. That's kinda how she got her code name, whether you be corporation or mercenary club she could be by your side one moment and gone the next, like a specter.

Very few things are considered odd on the Beacon, but a couple things stand out.

Eira is half human, which is genetically impossible without gene-modding.

Randy was raised by humans and lived in human society. This is something that rarely happens, and maybe only one Lycan every few generations ends up living in human society.

Everything about Solomon (Hivemind) is unusual. From how he programmed some basic human instincts out of his own mind, to his selfless use of his business and trade profits (He makes hundreds of septillions of dollars a year, but only keeps 50 - 100 thousand per year for himself. The rest is funneled into public projects), to his use of droids in everyday interactions, to his developmental condition.



As a side note, and unrelated, we are only two posts away from tying with RGV's length!
