Um... Hunter? kinda waiting for you...
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Er, no, i mean I've been waiting for a reply from this scout:
xhunterko wrote:"May I help you?" A panda scout of medium build, with long whiskers, asked Bowser from behind.
...for over a week, while I've seen you post in other places in the mean time.Buster wrote:Bowser's ear twitched slightly, the only sign that he hadn't expected the voice. Right, I'm downwind, anyone behind me would be hidden... Clumsy. Turning to look behind himself, he sees the unfamiliar animal. He's never encountered a red panda before, mistaking the scout for some kind of odd colored raccoon.
"Perhaps." He answers plainly, "This place is very different from Sausalito, I'm still learning the layout."

For another one of my art projects we had to make a figurine/ statue thing.
So, I made Meeko from this RP. (Really wanted to show you guys this!)
Figured I will stick to butchering clay before I continue butchering paper.
I so hope he doesn't explode in the kiln.

Re: HPU: Sunset Plateau OOC
True, Hunter, but her character is only interacting with a panda scout at the moment since there's no other characters around. So she is waiting for you.

According to the post, I thought the question was self observant, not a continuing conversation. Considering the closing statement. However, instead of making a new post, I edited this one:

Re: HPU: Sunset Plateau OOC
It's kind of hard to come up with dialogue to interact with an NPC who seems to have all the personality of a signpost... But fine, I get it, I'll have him go somewhere else.
Still it's not as if I have many options at the moment. >.<
Plan 'A' got derailed, Bowser doesn't know the diner exists yet (also I don't actually know where it is in town, so I'm not sure if it's close enough to him to be somewhere he could just stumble across without seeming forced), doesn't know anybody here, and isn't the type to just barge into a stranger's home without a reason. So short of acting out of character or abusing meta-game knowledge, I'm stuck with whoever's outside and nearby...

Re: HPU: Sunset Plateau OOC
The diner isn't marked on the map but as I recall it was straight down the road from the Leones' place.
Em, sorry we didn't wait for you though. I'll be more careful in future. Scotty, Moon and Elio haven't entered the house yet though so you could have Bowser meet up with them on the doorstep if you want. Or I can have the mail-man meet up with Bowser and direct him to the diner or to somewhere else if you'd rather. Up to you.
Admittedly though, your last post didn't have much for xhunter to respond to. Perhaps if Bowser was that curious he could have asked another question? Or he might have sniffed at the panda - tried to work out who and what he was, or something like that? I know it's sometimes difficult but if you can try to always put something in your post that the other person can respond to then it makes responding a lot easier and makes the game more fun for the both of you.

I often forget I'm the AGM here. So.
ATTENTION PLEASE: The time now is 1 pm. And if I can make this call, since it does not want to be role played by anyone and is hanging people up, the pets in the diner have gone through the order process and have received their orders. If there are no objections to the mini time skip and no one wanted to have more conversation in that minor period. Which, depending on the order, can be anywhere from 15-45 minutes. Let me know if there are any objections. Or if I can't make this call.

Re: HPU: Sunset Plateau OOC
To confirm, this skip is just to get everyone their food. The conversation can continue on as normal.
I'm also thinking we should set a date for this roleplay. If any of the older players can confirm the date that'd be great. If not, I'm thinking early spring, so something like late March or early April. Does that sound okay?

Yes, and I think I know why.SuperStar wrote:BY Bahamut... We have been at this day for over a year!
Come on, everyone. Where are you all?
Valerio, xhunter, Civilization and I are only a quarter of the players here. That leaves 8 of you who aren't posting.
This RP won't work if you all don't make an effort to keep active. Please try to post more than once a fortnight. I'd like to see everyone posting once a week at the very least. I know some of you are busy and I know some of you have a lot on your plate. I get that. I'm busy and I have a lot to deal with too. I think that one post per week is not an unreasonable request though.
If there's something that you're finding off-putting here then please tell me so I can fix it. If there are players you're having issues with then please let me know. You can do it completely anonymously. Or if you're not comfortable with me or something I've said or done you can talk to any other mod on the forums and they'll pass on your feedback without telling me who you are. If you're stuck for ideas on what to post then make a post here in the OOC. That's what this thread is here for.
I want you guys to be happy and to enjoy this RP as much as I do so if there's anything I can do to help you guys then please do help me to help you and communicate with me.
I can guarantee that all of us, me included, will enjoy the RP far more if we all put in a little more effort to post actively and communicate with each other when we're struggling and encourage each other when we're doing well.
So what do you guys say? Can you help me with that? Can you guys put in the effort to make this RP the best it can be for all of us?
Re: HPU: Sunset Plateau OOC
Oh good. Someone said something before I did as AGM.
But yes.

Well, um... Er, well... I think the problem might be that, well... xhunterko's and Valerio's character are together and they can post as soon as the other one does... And uh... Well Hlaoroo's and my character are going back and forth... It's probably hard for the others to get involved... Er, and, well, I've just been imagining them eating their food... I'm not really giving much to work with for the others and that's my fault... Well, ah, that's just what I think...

I'm sorry, I've just been a really lazy RPer for this neighborhood. It tends to happen when almost every character is in the same place, but I should be trying harder.
It doesn't help that my character's pathological need to help people is pretty much her only defining characteristic and Chris has kinda been stealing her helping thunder with Meeko
also some narcolepsy so let's just say she keeps falling asleep

Well, if you want to rework Jess' character sheet to make her more of an individual or more easy to play then you're welcome to.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:It doesn't help that my character's pathological need to help people is pretty much her only defining characteristic and Chris has kinda been stealing her helping thunder with Meeko

Simple. Have your character say or do something. They can knock a drink over or drop an ice cube down someone's collar for a joke. They can ask how the food is or comment on something another character says. You'll never be involved if you don't post though. That's the point I'm making.HoundInATree wrote:This, so much of this. Thanks for the feedback, Civ. You make some good points. Would you other players like xhunter, Val, Civ and I to slow down a little to give you more of an opportunity to post? If so, please say so.Civilization wrote:Well, um... Er, well...
