Mitch is trying to get people to sign a wedding guest list and the others have rushed down to the basement to hear Wiggins play the piano.

Val had his character's owners lead the pets to a "taverna", where he keeps an old piano.
Wiggins just played "Choppin etude opus 25 no.1" very skillfully, and is now searching through some sheet music.

I'm waiting for a few others to post before I post for Mitch again. It's kinda a big post and I don't want ALL the attention on the panda this morning.

Excuse me, but please don't serve pets alcohol. If you want them to get drunk fine, but please stick to orange soda.

I thought it was OK in of-age or of-age-equivalent characters...
It happens in Redwall and 17CF too.
As I've said before, we need some consistency here. We can't have a rule one way for some people and another for others.

No worries! I thought if I kept it fairly minimal and lighthearted it'd be okay. Don't worry, Mitch is going to avoid further embibement. :)

Important!
Hey guys, I need your help with an updated description for the main ooc.
It was very difficult for people to join without an explanation of the roleplay, and now is our chance to simplify it!
In your own words, how would you describe Sunset Plateau?
(Note: I am not going to accept "This rp just goes with whatever happens". I need to know what this rp normally focuses on, and the only information I have is that its a city with a panda village next to it.)

well, I think a description really just needs to answer a few questions: acceptable magic levels? slice of life or adventure (or a mixture of the two)? Size of the neighborhood? notable attractions?

I'm unsure on what levels of magic we let characters have if any, but for the rest

"Sunset Plateau is a suburban neighborhood, a short distance from a shopping district with a mall and restaurants. It is located next to a forest that houses a bustling village of red pandas. The RP is a slice-of-life look at the day-to-day interactions between the residents of the neighborhood and the red pandas."

I like that explanation.

But that also brings up a question I've been meaning to ask.
Are all the panda's played by one person?

*raises hand*

Aye. That would be me. They are all part of Mitch's side characters, parents, family, and relatives. Also me and Ice talked about it previously and he stated that it was fine. I offered panda side characters before so I wouldn't be controlling a whole village by myself. The offer is still open in case anyone wants to take a stab at controlling one. As far as a description:

"Sunset Plateau is a suburban neighborhood, a short distance from a shopping district with a mall and restaurants. It is located next to a forest that houses a bustling village of red pandas. The RP is a slice-of-life look at the day-to-day interactions between the residents of the neighborhood and the local feral population. The forest contains an old chapel, underground feral tunnels, and plenty of more secrets to discover!"

That's the only thing I would change about it.

Alright, we'll use hunter's description! ^w^

If you don't mind, I would like to make a panda main character, so it isn't just you playing an entire village. Although, I think I would be better as the new recruits, rather than a veteran.

I was actually considering making a second character too. It'd be a regular pet though so I might do that when everyone gets back from the panda village.

@MrNeonShot Go right ahead! I think in the original Sunset you could have 2 characters, their families, and a third feral character.

Then we'll keep it that way. Giving players a chance to play as more than one character is what I've always wanted in my rp's.

I just wanted to add something about the "Magic" level-- As far as I know, the only magician I've seen in Sunset was Blueberry way back when. And it was more the Sleight-of-hand kind of "magic". I'm not sure if that helps.

Also, Hunter-- at some point I may take a shot at making a Panda villager.

I was thinking of allowing minor magic capabilities, but I've decided that it may just mess things up. What do you guys think?

Re: PF: Sunset Plateau OOC

by Hlaoroo
I should point out that Chris's magic is all sleight of hand and stage magic. There are no actual magical powers involved.

I think if there's to be magical capabilities involved then there needs to be a system of magic and rules for users to follow. We don't want powergaming or anything like that. Magic would also have a big impact on how this RP might turn out so it's something to be considered carefully.

Ehhh. I think this role play is fine without. Though I've always liked Narnia magic and to a lesser extend the LOTR system then any other system. It's there, and there are wizards and such but your average person is more or less like Bilbo or Frodo or Peter or one of the Beavers.
