I used the map on the first page of this OOC when I picked Scotty and Frances' house. I think that map needs updating though since most of those players are gone. I think you 're pretty safe to pick whoever you want to go there, Val, unless anyone has any objections?

The only families there on the map are players that have left as far as I'm aware, aside from the Leones.

Moon is a very energetic kitten. She's still learning a lot of words and enjoys learning. She loves to meet new people. Moon can grow very attached to someone really quickly. She doesn't understand boundaries of personal space either.

The one thing that I don't like about it is the long name. Pets aren't going to respond to a name with more than 2 syllables.
The other would be the mismatched eyes. It feels like your repeating characters because of the switched eye themes (I'll point out you have 5 other characters with mismatched eyes.)

That being said, the appearance isn't up for me to decide, but the name seems way too long for a kitten.

I do want to have your character because it would give us a female cat, but I don't want her to be just another character. See what you can do with Matatabi before I let Moon in.

Well, I know I have about 5 or so characters with different eyes, because I think that's really cool. And the reason I gave Moon her nickname is because I know people aren't going to want to call her Tsukuyomi every time, but I'll change the name if you think it'd be better.

Well, that's still your choice, but I do want to wait until I see how you handle Matatabi.

NAME - Marylyn 'Mae' Watkins
GENDER - female
SPECIES - Savannah Cat
AGE - 21 p.y.o. (~7 h.y.o.)
APPEARANCE - Marylyn is one unusually-looking Savannah, since she's got deep blue eyes and the fur pattern around her body forms a sort of thin mask. Also her tail is very long, and sometimes she's been dubbed as 'Mae the genet', much to her displeasure.
PERSONALITY - Marylyn was named after the actress Marilyn Monroe due to her eyes, but she picked up 'Mae' herself after watching movies with Mae West. And she *knows* how to make herself 'purtier' for the boys, be them cats or dogs. She owns a lot of trinkets, and she knows how to wear them to get the best looks. Her concept of 'friendship' involves take pity on her less fortunate friends and improve their looks.
She's still waiting to mee 'the right one' to start a family with.

Okay, so I have only 1 problem with this (as well as everyone's age types.) 5 years old seems to be waaay too little, and considering that Tsukuyomi is 7 yoears old, and she acts like a child.

I honestly think that in Housepets!, the pets age at the rate of a human, despite the appearance and the way they act, and as such should be treated the same way here.

What I mean is, NORMALLY the pets age 4 years every year. I'm changing that to aging 1 year every year, like humans do.

I thought that 8 years old in the HPverse makes for a girl of Sabrina's age

it's usually preferred that character sheets include their human age and the equivalent pet age (example: 28 pet years = 8 human years).
the human years tells their actual age, and the pet years is more of a reference of maturity level (ignoring that most of the pets seem to act like a human teenager) and also how far into their expected lifespan they are.

So I'm not sure what you're asking, is my character sheet alright since it has both ages?

and Val, 8 pet years means they've been alive for a little more than 2 actual years. 8 human years is probably what you were trying for, which comes to be the equivalent of a 28 year old human as I mentioned before.

The general consensus is that 3.5 pet years equate to 1 human year. It is something that the GM can modify slightly if they really want to though, I suppose.

I updated the part about the ages in the main OOC to read "Please post the age both in pet years AND human years so as to avoid confusion.". I hope that clears up any misunderstanding.

I believe what Neon is trying trying to say is that he is changing the age ratio. So, instead of 1 human year being three and a half pet years, it would just be one human year is one pet year.

If I am right, then I must ask, Neon: Why? Why make such a drastic change? Roleplay-wise, it would really serve no purpose.

I guess it doesn't matter, but I think the 3.5 year difference is an inaccurate description.
