It was working fine for me when i was online a few hours ago. But i had a similar error that the client was telling me it wasnt online. You can connect anyway though. I added it to favs and double clicked and it connected even when it said the Server was off.

Thanks but it wasnt made by me ^^ Its from Signaturecraft they offer Statusbanners for servers which are automatically updated. Thought it might be a good way so everyone can see if the server is off or on.

Welp, after nearly a weeks absence I have returned! My most immediate action was to expand my "House", so if anyone wants food, or shelter, pop on by. I have more than enough room to accommodate a reasonably large number of people.

To be honest yes that would be nice. But as for now we are using the Vanilla Server so the Server directly from Minecraft itself. There are other Versions like Buckkit which include this feature or can add it as a plugin.

But for the Vanilla Version its not possible as far as i know.

The only thing i could do would be create a Usergroup with the name like the User in question and assign it to them.

Hey, guys. About the tree farm. Do you think we can rearrange it somehow? It's just that in it's current incarnation the bigger trees grow leaves and branches too fast for the saplings to get enough sunlight to grow. We're going to run out of wood in the farm if it's not changed, I think. So what designs do you guys think might work in the space available?

A sapling every seven blocks tends to work for me, or small triangular clusters, since that allows new ones to grow quickly after you cut one down. Any better methods?

Whose house is the big stone, log and diorite one just near the spawn point? Because whoever it is, I think my mine just hit yours... I found a shaft that appears to come up under the water just behind that house.

the small house south of spawn is mine, the log cabin right next to it by the water is the guest house, the mine and my workshop are directly beneath them, but shouldn't extend out much in any direction but down, and the entrances to said workshop are inside said houses, with the mine entrance being two doors embedded in the retaining wall next to the guest house. Also, i tend to strip-mine, so my mines are usually massive vertical shafts, no side tunnels.

if you mean the mansion at the other end of the road on the north side of spawn though, I have no clue. I just built the animal pen over there nothing else.

Also for tree farming, i usually just carpet the place solid with saplings and stick torches next to any that refuse to grow after a day. they don't actually need sunlight, just light, and on fancy graphics mode won't count the leaves of other trees as blocking their growth. yeah, i know, it's exploiting a bug, but it works.

The mansion is the one I mean.
It's odd. No one seems to want to claim it. It doesn't belong to me, Buster, MrNeonShot, Kyuunado, Invisan, Rook, dtlux1, Czukay, or JC.
So is it Buck's or yellowcrash's or is someone else on the sever I don't know about?

Trees need light, no matter where it comes from. The sapling just needs light level 8 or more. (Check here for Tree Growth and Characteristics and here for a Tree Farming tutorial).

That's how I build tree farms [click]. The torches have 2 purposes: a) light for the trees to grow any time and b) light against spawning of evil mobs. Also I think it looks pretty nice.

If you have enough Glowstone, that would do the trick as well.

I found a desert temple! It's at -174, 64, -802 if anyone wants to check it out. I cleaned it out though.

Does anyone know where to find a jungle biome?

Also are there any issues with the server? It keeps timing out on me today.

Yes please. That would be good. It was slightly laggy for Autumn_Red_Panda yesterday too. Nowhere near as bad as for me though. I think maybe my connection dos have something to do with it but making sure things are working on your end would be very much appreciated too.
