I haven't launched Minecraft or been on this server in forever. I should do that sometime soon. I wonder if anything I did is even still there.

From what I've seen there are two main times people get on - in the afternoon/evening in American time and in the afternoon/evening in British time.
A lot of us have been busy lately with finals and semesters ending and work and whatnot but people do get on from time to time.

We have a Skype group for the server too which you're welcome to join. It's a good way to touch base with people and find out when they're on.

EMERGENCY!!!

No one log onto the server until further notice. A troll has hit us hard and blown up our town and covered things with lava. We need Invisan to reset things. This means that anything you do on the server until the reset happens will be lost. Anything that happened before the trolling should be safe though. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The troll left a sign in my house identifying as "Aeqis Pandas" so keep a look out for him if you ever see him anywhere.

We'll probably implement a whitelist too just to make sure the server stays troll-free and for Housepets people only. We'll let you know when that happens too.

ALERT ALERT ALERT
A second attacker is now on the server and carrying out an attack. It's possible they are a hacker so DO NOT ENTER THE SERVER UNTIL THIS MESS IS SORTED!

Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Feel free to set another Spawnpoint.
If you are stuck or encounter more Lava/Water somewhere please feel free

Currently the OPs are

Hey guys, I think we ought to start a new server - one that's safe.

That jerk did a great job at demolishing my houses and my castle. :(
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Sure! I'll get you added!
You too, Buster!

EDIT: You guys are added!

And Doug, the server is now safe as Invisan said. We have the whitelist now so only approved people can join and we have more OPs which means if someone does somehow get on that shouldn't be there we can deal with it quickly.

The damage is pretty extensive unfortunately, however everyone should now have creative mode so they can repair it. That said, if enough people want, we can start anew with a fresh map.

If you don't get creative mode automatically when you log in then you'll find a command block near the original spawn point that will give you creative when you get near enough.

I'm kind of torn; I'd like to rebuild, but I don't want to because there's just too much. I'd prefer a fresh start where I don't have to worry about sifting through the destruction and cleaning up everything. But it's up to y'all.

I vote restart, griefer nonsense is rarely worth trying to fix, and more often than not costs materials that might not be easily be replaced.

...Also, um, I gave you the wrong name. It's "Buster_HPU", I forgot that it wouldn't let me have Buster (already taken) when I changed user-names. Might want to correct that before any unexpected guests show up. My bad.

well, that was an exercise in frustration.

Wasted three hours trying to fix everything up, and all I've got to show for it it one temple torn down and built back up to it's foundation but nothing beyond that, the other one is missing entirely, a mine that currently houses a miniature volcano and will take hours to plug all the holes so it's monster-proof again, a house that's nothing but levitating roof tiles, a supply cache that's a crater, and a guest house that's nothing but a floating door... and i got lucky compared to almost everyone...

even with creative mode, this is going to take forever and clean up work isn't any fun.

ugh... i REALLY want to start over.

How about you start over in a different Place on the server then?
The world is huge. And nobody said you need to build at the same Place again.
If you can tell me the Place of the "Volcano" i can get rid of it though

For what it's worth, I believe this would be a good idea. At least this way if anyone wants to revisit the old areas they can freely do so, plus you'd only need to be about 5000 blocks or so away to have it completely out of sight, out of mind. :)

I think starting in a new place is a good idea, then people who do just want to repair can do that while the others can have a new place.

Also, "a problem shared is a problem halved" is quite applicable in this circumstance as we can help each other repair things to get them done in half the time (or less if there is more than two people working to repair things). :)

I've patched up a couple of random roofs and helped Furr repair his maze. If anyone wants a hand just drop me a message in the skype group.

I thought about the different spawn point idea. My concern is that it would cause lag to have people so far away from each other. On the other hand, I know of a nice grassland to the west that would make a good new spawn point. :)

Can we shrink the spawn protection zone down to 16x16? I mean, it just needs to be big enough that it doesn't easily get blocked off, right? one chunk is enough.
