Comic Chameleon is a app that allows you to read webcomics in a simple panel-by-panel format right on your phone.

Comic Chameleon is currently only available for iOS--please understand that it's easier to develop for mostly because there's only a SMALL set of specifications, wheras android takes longer because there's so many additional specification. Android support is currently being developed.

SO . . . if you are interested in this and have an iPhone, and subsequently read Housepets on your iPhone, if you have any formatting issues such as text being cut off on the edge of the screen, please email me (or post here) along with the title of the strip where there is an issue. Thank you!

Everything comes out for iOS and Android... Nothing really good for the Windows phone...
Mostly everything in the Windows Marketplace are created by some "programmers" and "developers" who basically rip off each other using poor graphics. Or sometimes just use images from the internet without permission...
Luckily there are a few good ones that serve as good comic book readers which can read .zip, .cbr. and .cbz files with no problem.

As per the instructions included with the app, tap and hold the screen to view alt text (if it is included). I can verify that it works, it pops up as a little message thingy that you must click "Done" to exit out of, much more convenient then holding your breath trying not to move a mouse. ^^

Brand new Housepets! fan here.

Speaking as a developer for mobile devices, I can confirm that Android is by far more difficult to write for than iOS. My iOS learning curve was steep, but for Android it was vertical. And it was accompanied by "a crescendo of creative profanities"!

Comic Chameleon is now on Google Play!

But it has a strange rating: AO (Adults Only) :?

Maybe they have a very large collection of naughty comics then?

yeah, that's most likely the reason.

Never been to Comic Chameleon myself so can somebody confirm or deny this?

I don't know for sure that that is the reasoning. I've never used comic chameleon either.

It could just be that they're covering their bases in case something like that falls through the cracks. there are a lot of webcomics with adult themes, and for Comic Chameleon to make sure that none of them make it onto their app out of all of the submitted comics would involve them reading every page of every comic they include.

So the AO rating could be along the lines of video games saying "online interactions are not rated" so that they can't get in trouble if a kid ends up seeing something they shouldn't.

regardless, if you download the app and only use it to read webcomics you're familiar with, you'll be fine.

Comic Chameleon is a Web comic aggregator offering 138 comics. The Housepets! forum does not exist for other people to seek out and analyze "adults-only" content on your behalf. If you are interested in a service, I encourage you in the strongest possible terms to research it yourself and draw your own conclusions. If there are pornographic comics on said service, their discussion here would be disallowed under our guidelines. Sorry!

Well just to be sure, I don't think, at least for now I will get it. Maybe at a later date.

This isn't entirely true, I mean allot stuff comes out for windows phones that isn't great because it's the easiest too program and rookies can put code on them with relatively no formatting and directly from their PC. If you want to find something that would be really good for a phone like this then you may actually have to get it from one of microsoft's websites. Besides the point of a windows phone isn't honestly too have high quality apps, but instead to create appletts with it.
