Does anyone else wonder how this will affect Fox and King's friendship?

Why would King getting married affect his friendship with Fox at all? I'd like to see the logic there. More so when Fox was there right at that moment when King fell in love with Bailey. They are friends. Nothing more.

Getting married doesn't prevent anyone from having a best friend, yaknow.

I don't anticipate any major changes. Marriage doesn't suddenly turn one into a completely different person. *giggles* I've known several married people and the vast majority of them had friends! Some of them even married their best friend's sister, which is basically the situation King's getting into. Worry not, Fox and King will remain friends!

Infact, if everything turns out well, i could see King giving Fox the same treatment Fox gave King =P

Man, the only ways their friendship could be affected is if:
-King's past is revealed to Fox (though we never know if that is gonna happen nor when)
-King starts dating with Sasha (and that's really hard to ever happen)

well that's true but the way the comic seems right now is that, no one even told fox about the marriage but im sure he'll find out. :3

Considering Fox and Bailey live in the same house, I'm sure it's come up ;)

It is inevitable barring a sudden transformation back into Joel.

King and Fox are fine now, and I doubt much would change that.

King and Fox have such a close bond Im pretty freakin' sure that nothing can break it, it's like the bond between Scout and Heavy Weapons Guy.

Taken out of context of course, whutcha wanna bet at some given point WHEN King turns back into Joel, that it's still going to be a "buddies for best" situation?

I don't think he'll ever turn back. So it won't really matter.

I believe you are thinking on Medic and Heavy Weapons Guy.

And please, oh, please, let it be a matter of when, not if, King goes back to being Joel!
Though I can already hear Bailey saying: "It's okay, I don't that you used to be a human, I love you for who you are now. No one and nothing will ever change that!" Ugh! Reminds me of the "Brother Bear" ending. Have you ever seen that movie? I HATED the ending.
Now I keep a gun on me at all times to prevent being turned into an animal by an eskimal. Or a United States native american. Or a gypsie. You know what? Don't come any closer or I'll shoot you too! Don't touch me.

Fox has always been a supportive friend since they first met.
I realy don't think this will make any differences to there friendship.
it might bring them closer :D

Let's hope so. Last we saw regarding Fox and Joel, Fox still has some rather harsh feelings about being kidnapped. While he did help get Joel's watch back safely, he still seemed a little upset that King wanted it so badly.

I don't think it'll affect anything really. It won't stop the shippers that's for sure, and if they won't stop then the friendship will forever persist. Though...the recent "threat" from Pete makes me wonder...how would Fox react if he knew who King was as a human?

I'm more worried about canon. I'm sure there's some good stuff, I don't look into fanfics too much.

I'm the same way really. I'll have my fantasy ships and all that but I like to follow the canon. It is concerning though, since we can't possibly know what Rick Griffin is thinking, and as such we don't know if Pete's "threat" will come to fruition or not, and if it manages to get done and King becomes Joel, will Fox see Joel's actions or Kings actions? And there's always the chance he never find out that Joel is King. Its rather worrying as Rick might decide to take the comic down a darker route. Which in my mind would ruin it but its Ricks comic and he can do as he wishes...

Rick's pretty on top of the whole not-ruining-the-comic thing. It's not going to get dark.

Fox has been totally supportive of King finding a mate. In fact, it's King who has changed a lot already, and in better. Fox couldn't be happier for his little friend and will do his part to protect this wonderful new relationship.

The 'shippers' best not forget their place in the order of things.

They remember it, just like all humanity remembers they can't fly. That's why humanity decided to create space programs!

Honestly, I'm more concerned with what happens when (not if) King's secret comes out.

You and me both. Don't think the reality of King being Joel will fly too well with Bailey or Fox.

Hopefully they would have a better outcome than Laika or Pchyolka and Mushka...
