Auditions would allow the producers to sort out the bad actors or good actors whose voice may not match the character they want to play.

While the main reason to pursue a Housepets! radio play is the enjoyment of those involved, I imagine Ebly and whoever else participates would like for the thing to be worth listening to.

I would be willing to try out for the following:

Peanut (A higher pitched version of my voice...sorry, Jack, you've got competition.)

Joey/Bino/Fido (They're brothers, shouldn't they be done by the same person? I think I could pull it off)

Fox (Simple part...I just like Fox)

King (Well, I've been told my voice sounds exactly like Nick's from L4D2...I think that's a match...)

Marvin (Guess.)

And would be willing to do any or all of them, and I support this idea!

I think it's a great idea. Unfortunately, I won't be able to actually contribute to it.

For auditions? Sure - the comic itself.

Topic made, go there.

I would assume that if Ebly decides to go ahead with this, he will create a new thread ("Housepets! Radio Play") and will include audition instructions there, including audition lines (character-specific or generic) and the e-mail address you should send them to, as well as anything else he finds relevant. I cannot say whether Ebly will proceed with the project, though.

[Edit:] As so often happens, I was beaten by Ebly.

Hey, that's what I'm thinking about!

Maybe an African-American comedian would like to act all of those three hounds.

Has anyone considered the possibility of Samuel L. Jackson for Fido? When I look at the more recent design for that character, that's the voice that comes to my mind.

Does anyone else agree?

I always thought Lance Henriksen had the voice of Miles. Seems like the right intonation. Still working on the others, though.

I'm pretty sure I have the perfect voice for Peanut. I might be wrong, but I'm 99% percent sure. Are y'all ready to have your socks blown off by the perfect perfectness of this voice? Are you sure?

If you mean the cartoon, then I have to agree with Teh Brawler in saying that peanut probably has a deeper voice, considering he is like 5 years old, which is pretty mature in dog years.

Not all the characters have voice actors for me personally yet but these are the ones that do

1. Peanut - Nick Jones (Chowder)
2. Fido - David Duchovny
3. Maxwell - Steve Blum (He was the first one to get a voice actor)
4. Pete - Sean Connery (ok this one I took from Kyderra)
5. Sabrina - Rachael Leigh Cook (Jodie Yanarella,Tifa Lockheart)
6. Tarot - Yeardley Smith (Lisa Simpson)
7. Bino - Tony Sampson (Eddy)
8. Grape - Tress MacNeille (Babs Bunny,Gadget Hackwrench, Many Others)
9. Fox - Billy West (Philip J. Fry,Doug,Stimpy)
10. King - Hank Azaria (Frank Grimes,Carl Carlson,Many other Simpson's Characters)

The rest of them I really haven't figured out yet. I mostly just pick the first actors that to me seam to fit and stick with them. Edit: Added Sabrina, added Tarot, Bino, and Grape, Added Fox and King I just need Sasha and I will consider this done.

Come to think of it, Peanut may sound like Justin Bieber. (At least when Justin sings, if you heard any of this songs, he sounds like a girl somewhat).

I actually think Fox would sound like a responsible adult. Not a little kid. Every time i read a strip with him in it his voice comes to me as, i dunno, Morgan Freeman like?
