Housepets!

This is something that may have been brought up before, considering the several years Housepets! has been going (I certainly noticed Valerio—I think it was him, at least—allude to it in a past strip's comments section), but...

In the Fido's Return arc, in two consecutive strips:

Bino's owner is referred to as 'Jake'. Later, however, we see he appears to live with Maxwell (something the Cast page confirms)... and Maxwell's owner is tagged as 'Jeff'. The Cast page also indicates Jeff to own both Maxwell and Bino.

Is this an inconsistency? If so, it might well be the only one I've really noticed. Rick does a good job making nods to old continuity.

Or, more accurately, Rick presumably changed it.

If my pets had reputations like theirs I would change my name too.

I did the same question a while ago and Rick told me this:

Jeff is Bino's owner. Jake is Joey's owner (though he has not appeared in the comic yet). These two along with Ryan (Fido's owner) know each other since elementary school and are friends since then.

The reason why Bino's owner is referred as Jake in that strip is that Rick was still not sure about the owner's names yet so he mistook them and never bothered to fix it.

Hmm, thank you, Gren. I wonder if he'll go back and fix it if Jake ever makes an appearance?

I was wondering the same thing the other day. Though what got my attention was that the cast page says that Joey, Bino, Fido, and Max are all siblings.

It's not listed like that under each character, which is to say that under Max's profile it doesn't list Joey, Bino, and Fido as his siblings, but rather only Bino. However when you visit Bino's section....and you get the picture.

I just figured that maybe the dog trio were related by blood, but had different owners and Max just got thrown in there somehow.

Pretty sure though that the cast page only says they are brothers. Maxwell is only considered a sibling to Bino by house rules, not literally.

Right, "pet" sibling and all that.

Also, yep I do love The Legend of Dragoon! I wonder what could have given it away? =p
