Well, its a sad fact of life and we all know this is going to happen. Rick is eventually going to pass away and something is going to happen to the Housepets! series. Go ahead and post your predictions and advice for the future of Housepets!
(and if Rick already has something planned, let me know about it)

It's there something wrong with Rick? I'm not really all that up to date on his life. Or if this just a "When it does happen"

Ya, I meant when it does happen. As far as I know, Rick is fine, but, you know... it will happen.(unless Rick has found the Fountain of Youth)

I don't think Housepets!, in its current form, will still be a thing by that time! The comic's gonna end someday.

Fun fact:

Once you publish a comic, Uranus, god of the sky, grants you complete immortality.

Greek gods are big webcomic fans.

Another fun fact: 1 out of every 250 people will live to be over 100. :)

I know this has pretty mutch nothing to do with what we're talking about, but just go with it

I could have lived my entire life up to that point not having to come to that realization.

I am sure the comic will end before then. I predict it will end on an arc looking back at all the good and bad times, then end with Peanut and Grape staring into the sunset.

5 years from now: Nickelodeon airs the first "Housepets!" cartoon. Merchandise on store shelves everywhere.

10 years from now: "Housepets!" the movie takes in $55 million on its opening weekend. Rick buys his first mansion.

After that, Rick moves on to other things, buys more mansions.

30 years from now: The Housepets! original artwork I have on my wall becomes super valuable. I bring it on "Antiques Roadshow" and have to be escorted out of the building by armed guards, cuz the artwork's priceless.

I could have once again gone my entire life without imagining that. Now I'm sad.

Guys, I'm sorry if all of this is making you sad, but who knows, we all might make our own super popular web comics one day. ;)

HahahahhahHahHHHaahhhahAHAHAH...
If I could draw. I'm imagining just exactly how close I could get before it was too innuendo filled to be PG-13. I mean it wouldn't be bad bad or anything, but it would be lots less tame than HP!

We could always go bact to when most of the characters we have now didn't exist yet. It would be like the cast's parents as the main cast. (their blood parents, not the human ones ;)

Cool, I'm still practicing my anthro drawings. Right now it looks like a five year old drew it.

You to? Well I guess I don't feel bad now or need to think I am the only one who thinks their art is like a five year old drew it (or that is, I feel my art is like that to. In case the earlier sentence didn't make sense).

Step 1: Buy the rights from Rick Griffin
Step 2: Saturday Morning cartoons return... with a VENGEANCE.
Step 3: MASS PRODUCTION... RIDICULOUS!

Nickelodeon isn't that bad. It's better than getting it on CN or Disney.

All things must end, and it will happen. I always imagined that the comic would end with a complete and satisfying ending, but it would not end there. The community would keep up on the forums for a while. A year, maybe two; just creating fan projects, RPing, discussing the comic constantly and that sort of thing. But as new stuff comes and interests change, that will dwindle until the forums are shut down because of lack of payment. Another forum might put up, but only a fair few very committed former fans would go to it, and it will eventually end as well, with fond memories, a multitude of great art, and a timeless masterpiece of webcomics.

Someone could make a website devoted to the memory of the comic. There was this other webcomic I used to read, and it got it's own game, but it just stopped a while ago...hopefully, HP! will be different.

Mr.Smoozles...Think about that name for a while! It has a message saying "Appearing a little sporadically for the time being.", but that was WAY too long ago. If I remember the humor, it was closer to, if not PG-13.

Now, now, don't forget that there are 4 Housepets! volumes on sale at Amazon. Also, I highly doubt that the comic will end after the game especially since the current art style is still a fairly recent change. I for one will gladly help Rick if he gets stuck at a certain point in the plot line. I would start helping Rick with his funding, but currently am trying to save up some money.

I mean half the thread is off-topic and about every second reply devolves into chat (and chat has its own thread). Please try to keep this thread within some semblance of on-topic. ;)

If I had a job I'd definitely help Rick with any sort of funding in any way I could. I like seeing things come together and if money is a necessity (which it usually is), then so be it. I mean, he's given us such a great comic, so why would I not help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Rick himself said it wan't going to end after the game.
