While re-reading to write my fanfic, I stumbled with the Keene contract with Pete, for which he received one mana...
For those who don't remember : https://www.housepetscomic.com/2012/10/ ... ral-plane/
An then he handed it out to a scientist... https://www.housepetscomic.com/2012/10/ ... -the-tour/
And we haven't seen or heard of it for two years...
I believe it is a Chekhov's gun... or Rick just forgot about it...
Anyway I have the feeling that this is coming back soon (or never more) and backfiring on Pete...
What do you guys think?

I think the scientist just made some general tests to know the nature of the nugget, and quite likely all tests ended up with (Wait for it.) inconclusive results.
But I'm pretty sure that thing will appear one last time to serve a yet undisclosed purpose.

20th century fox? Given that this is the year 2020, that fox must be dead by now. Sadface! : (

Guys, Rick is a professional writer and artist. He writes scripts to every storyline and plans them out well in detail of anything you've seen before. He has not forgotten about the mana that Pete gave Keene. Remember this is a ongoing series and things take time to develop.
Re: A Piece of Mana for Your thoughts....
I can personally attest to Rick's memory of his comic. Within the past few months, I showed him a crop of Grape in a strange pose asking from which strip it came from, and he barely hesitated to pin the title of the comic and the specific panel the crop came from (panel 1, "All Work and No Play"). If he remembers that, I seriously doubt he forgot something as important as Keene having a piece of mana.
I must admit, when I first read the strip the mana came from, I thought "One mana? What can you do with that, float assorted cutlery for three seconds?". So maybe it's humorously useless. X3
Or, you know, it does something super-important and awesome
