If there ever was a plushie like that and I got one, my mother would be asking me why my plushie sounds like a past character from a soap opera we watch regularly.

(Fun fact: John de Lancie had played the role of crazy but lovable inventor Eugene Bradford on "Days of our Lives".)

From what I gathered from reading through the two threads related to plushies, the basic problem is that selling plushes would cost Rick Griffin more than he would recoup in revenue.

I only know two other webcomics that sell pushes. Slightly Damned and Slack Wyrm. Chu sells hers on Storenvy for $20 (I actually have a Iratu doll sitting above me right now) and travels to cons to sell merchandise and Josh Wright has a pre-order for Slack Wyrm dolls on a site call Makeship store for $25 but it also says its limited quantity.

In all honesty I think it's more trouble than its worth a lot of the time. I think he would personally have to ship each order himself depending on how he manufactured it and did the orders. Not to mention shopping around for manufacturer that could make them for a price for him to turn a profit. Then setting up a storefront online somewhere. Even if he did turn a profit I question it would be enough for all the trouble.

It would be nice to have one but it's a big undertaking.

It is. Find a designer, figure out the design (that can take a while), figure out the best materials, figure out how to actually sell them.

It's a long and costly endeavor.

.... and there would be questions of how many you'd need to sell to break even. Design's tricky, too - if people don't think the plush looks enough like the character, you're gonna be stuck with a lot of dollies.
