The 100th Arc
The 100th Arc
So with Housepets almost reaching it's 100th arc, what do you think is going to happen?

Just a normal arc? The same way the 1,000th strip was a regular strip?
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Obviously the comic will end at arc 100.

Re: The 100th Arc
It's the comic numbers that people tend to care about more than the arc numbers. Five fictional dollars says Rick doesn't even keep track of the numbering. None of the comics are numbered on the main site.
Maybe they should be?

Personally I don’t think it really matters, though the arcs are numbered and not the comics. I wonder if the site did that automatically?

Then what are all those numbers next to each of the arcs?Sleet wrote:It's the comic numbers that people tend to care about more than the arc numbers. Five fictional dollars says Rick doesn't even keep track of the numbering. None of the comics are numbered on the main site.

Re: The 100th Arc
I fairly certain the arcs are automatically numbered, which means Rick likely keeps about as much track of them as the strip numbers
Re: The 100th Arc
Here is a thought. Maybe arc 100 will be when we see what happened to Pete and Dragon. That would be interesting. Otherwise, it will probably be a normal arc or a celebration arc. My vote is for the normal arc.

No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Rick will thank his fans for their continued support and love by their fursonas appearing throughout the 100th arc.

Re: The 100th Arc
No, it's actually about a specific story arc which hasn't been published yet [and, more specifically, whether there will be any special celebrations for said arc]. However, Sleet's post was completely fine. She indicated most people care more about comic numbers than arc numbers, saying "None of the comics are numbered on the main site." Saying arc numbers are largely irrelevant in a thread that speculates whether arc 100 will carry special significance is completely on topic.Douglas Collier wrote:I thought this topic was about arc numbers. :P

Re: The 100th Arc
i think the fact that we're even discussing this and there are plenty of us that seem to want something to happen indicates that the arcs are significant in that way.
I milestone is still a milestone no matter how you reach it.

Everyone gets married. The end.
No signs. No Imaginates. Final Destination.
In all seriousness, though - I think one of the best suggestions i could think of is an arc that focuses heavily on Peanut, Grape and the sandwich family in general and some casual, indepth knowledge of their lives. it's just a family arc about Peanut, Grape and the Mr/Ms. Sandwich.

And Rick introduces a random character upon finding out he has an odd number of cast members, just to make it happen.GameCobra wrote:Everyone gets married. The end.

I was gonna joke that it'd be a self-insert, but then I remembered Res is a thing. :B

The 50th arc was Housepets! Babies, so I'm thinking a little bit into the future. (Beagleranians!)

So, wait...Taro's been cheating on peanut with a beagle? How long has that been going on? Also doesn't that make her kind of a hypocrite after the whole 'dragon or me, pick now' debacle?RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:Pomeranian Beagle mixes. BeagleraniansAmazee Dayzee wrote:Beagwlhat?
