Joey isn't a bro anymore?
Joey isn't a bro anymore?
I was talking with Chaoko, and he said that he thought that Rick Griffin said Joey is no longer Fido and Joey's brother? Like, retconned, is this true?
Re: Joey isn't a bro anymore?
That's quite the shift in character story, if it's true. What's the source?

No it's not true, why would that be retconned
I'm sure the cold hand of science will be able to overcome his magical powers

I believe it was originally assumed (and possibly planned?) that Joey, Bino, and Fido were part of the same litter. It's never explicitly stated in the comic, but was widely thought to be the case. At some point Rick decided to explicitly make them brothers from separate litters. This is also never explicitly stated in the comic, but Rick announced it in the forums at some point.

So there from different litters, of the same mother. Okay, that makes sense.Obbl wrote:I believe it was originally assumed (and possibly planned?) that Joey, Bino, and Fido were part of the same litter. As a non native speaker, this means they have the same father too right? like, one day a litter is born, other day a litter is born that has the same parents... Not, like, the mother is a... "female specimen of her species."SuperStar wrote: So they are from different litters, of the same mother. Okay, that makes sense.
Re: Joey isn't a bro anymore?
Well, I dunno. But I'm gonna assume the same father because of their massive resemblance. But with the matter of them being from different litters, that means there must be at least 6 other brothers. Assuming 3 is the minimum of a litter. Well, my bets are on Fino and the Bino look-a-like at the Clubhouse
