Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
Blocked from joining PDK9 force, Maxwell and Marvin decide to be the first felines to join the fire department and try to get Dallas - who, after all, is a dalmatian - to coach them.

And Dallas is like “Why does everyone keep assuming I know anything about the fire department?!”

And they can explain to him what the stereotype with Dalmatians and the fire department is to him!

An Arc where Spot comes to life and starts wreaking havoc in Peanut’s life, Doodlebob style.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

As long as whatever Spot and Peanut draw also come to life, I'm done with that.

An arc where Peanut changes into his Spot form again and has to adapt while playing the super hero only to learn a valuable lesson.
Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
Peanut finds himself trapped in his own comic and imprisoned by his resentful villain characters. Unable to rescue him, Spot manages to pull Joey and Grape into the strip where Grape's Pridelands experience and Joey's artistic talents prove invaluable.

The last thing we need is another Grape love interest. She already is in a relationship with Max, has a sort-of romance with Res, and then there is the weird Grapenut thing.
Although it would be cool if Dallas began working out and became buff to impress her. Ditch the geeks and join the Fire department.

I wouldn't say he had to ditch them. Just cut back on playing DnD and work towards getting accepted into the fire department.

To be fair, the firefighters and paramedics I've known tend to be extraordinarily geeky dorks.

I think Marvin would be like "as long as I'm not just reacting to stuff, I'll try it" but its very hard for me to picture Gale and Marvin together for some reason.

Imagine if Gale got on cougar life.com. Miles would be like "Not what that site is about. Wrong type of cougar."
Gale dating would be like the best arc.

What also would be kind of entertaining is if Poncho tried to ruin it only to end up with (maybe literally) egg on his face.

With Stewart no longer employed, Lana decides the Miltons need a new accountant and interviews Gale.

But then Gale ends up becoming more of a bodyguard and Miles and his family get demoted because Gale outshines them.

The wolves aren't employed by the ferrets either. They might be still partially supported, but after all there ferrets have invested in them there's no reason to have fewer members in the ECP.

I never said that they would end up getting out of the program just that Gale would do a far better job as security and the Miltons would have the wolves do something else entirely. They may not be fully employed but the ferrets but I'm sure they must do some small work for them.

Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
If you're not saying the wolfs would be outed from the program then what are you saying by them getting demoted? None of the wolfs presently work security for the mansion so it doesn't make sense for Gale to outcompete the wolfs or in any way have her exemplary performance negatively affect the wolf pack.

Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
Maybe hiring Marvin to do accounting would be safe ...
Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
Keeping with the theme of the ferrets hiring other animals, assuming Marion makes it to the end of the arc retaining his tail, perhaps he can be hired as a guidance counselor of sorts. "No, that's not what humans mean by fast food! Stop chasing that kid around!"
"Say, this is only tangentially relevant, but how many rings is your tail supposed to have?"

Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
American high schools usually sponsor a trip/mini-vacation for their seniors a bit before Finals Week. Marion and the rest of his class went on a camping/hiking trip somewhere that had some residual magic that got into all of them; he's just the first one we've seen that got transformed because it's slow to act. Cue other cases of random and quite possibly more-exotic-than-a-squirrel animals "suddenly appearing" in houses all over Babylon Gardens over the next couple of days as chaos ensues.
With the right community, getting into a webcomic at the beginning of a brand new arc can feel just as enjoyable and rewarding as being there from the beginning.

I don't think we have a name for Stewart's transformed Badger character, Gameb, but I could have missed it. Assume for now he's just "Badger" (and, actually, characters in Housepetsdon't seem to address each other by species very often - for example, Sasha did call King "Cat" when she was calling him from behind and he had the catnip smell all over him, but that's a rare instance. Jessica sometimes calls Zach "BunnyBoy", but I'm not sure that counts since it's an affectionate knick-name...)Gameb18oy wrote:Um, has Rick confirmed Steward’s name has changed? He might not be named Badger.NHWestoN wrote:It'ud be a bit dark, but Housepets! gone serious before - some event or situation that challenges Ink's faith, forcing her to work through both the actual crisis and recalibrating her convictions. How - or even if - the other ferals play roles in supporting this drama would also be complicated. You know Zach and Jess would ache to help Ink but chafe at doing anything to reinforce what they see as her delusions. Cory might come in as a less comic diversion player, instead serving as a provocateur villain or reluctant good guy. Some of the newcomers like Craig, Badger, or Trinket might also set up Ink's predicament by exploiting her good-hearted nature and leaving her in a jam.
One of the advantages of having a large and varied cast is that the maelstrom can reach back into the third or fourth row and unexpectedly bring a bit-player center stage and take us in New, wonderful directions. Rick's done that before. Why not Tum's Mom? Regards.

I don't think his name has changed in the tags but people call him Badger to differentiate him from his human self and it stuck.

Re: Arcs that would never happen, but are fun to think about
A Flemish Giant rabbit shows up at Jess' place, asking for directions to Babylon Gardens, and possibly the Arbelt residence. She has been writing letters to one of the residents, and she wants to actually meet up with him. Jess points the direction, but then starts to wonder if she's after Zach. After finally getting herself too worked up about it, she makes her way to their home, and confronts Zach about her. Turns out, she wasn't going for him. Turns out her pen pal was Marvin, and they start to hit it off.

Either the abrasive natures Duchess and Bino drive all the other club members to quit and join the Yarn Ball team or one of the two scores an own goal that clinched the game for the Yarn Ball team.Amazee Dayzee wrote:And the GODC end up losing in a humiliating and hilarious manner.
