PS, if anybody wants the sheet music, ask. (I'm not sure if ye can play it though, it was put through a midi file, so I didn't actually have to test it to see if it was playable xD)

Well, I'm not as attuned to classical music as I might be, but I have to say I'm very impressed with that composition, "Sasha"!
Now, was that original or was it based on the notes from the comic?

Based on the vague description in the comic XD It's in D Minor, and it's angry-ish, as the title indicated. Otherwise? No, the notes in the comic were in a major key (I THINK, that or C Minor as I made it out) and from another bit of classical music.ChewyChewy wrote:

I'm going to enjoy learning this! I play by ear though, so no sheet music necessary.
Re: Sonata for My Boyfriend...
Wow. Incredible piece of work.
In the comic, I love the last little addition: "in D minor". It reminds me of South Park. "How about we sing, 'Kyle's Mom is a Stupid #&@$%', in D minor?"

For some reason, I imagine an old black and white film with Sasha sneaking into Bino's house and making good on her promise.

I love music, and even simple stuff like this i find amusing.
funny thing is, the sonata hints something dangerous for Bino as i hear it too. funny how Bino doesn't notice =P

I prefer it as a duet. Click the little soccer ball!
Kidding! That's pretty good, but one thing bugged me: the computer made the grace notes way too loose, so they sound kind of unnatural. That's not your composition's fault, just the computer's. I don't know what you used to write it, but you can make tighter grace notes by just writing 64th notes or whatever in front of notes rather than actually use a grace note. When most programs play grace notes, they have a set rhythmic value for them, which makes them sound bad at some tempos.
Also that's not a sonata, but I'll let it slide. :3

but it's Sasha, and what makes it funny is that it ISN'T dark and angry.Kyderra wrote:as a critic I would say, it can be a a bit darker/angry, less cheerful.
what what? Jolly good time.
Re: Sonata for My Boyfriend...
well, she is giving out her anger at him with music, so i would say, start cheerful, and then get really mad at the end (thats what i meant)

Re: Sonata for My Boyfriend...
Enty, in measure 34, you flatted the C, D, and E for the downward chromatic, but you didn't make them natural again for the upward scale. Was this intentional?
Re: Sonata for My Boyfriend...
I do not believe so xD Just did't catch it, it was a pretty fast passage.Obbl wrote:Enty, in measure 34, you flatted the C, D, and E for the downward chromatic, but you didn't make them natural again for the upward scale. Was this intentional?

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I just thought of something. Does it really matter whether the song is a sonata or not?
