That is really cool to know. is there some myth made for the area that people long ago made for the black rose?

Signs such as those that state “Not Responsible for Your Car or Its Contents” carry no weight in court; they are posted simply to discourage people from pursuing any legal action.

You sure about that, Amazee?
I mean, on their own I can understand that they wouldn't but over here they have signs out the front of car parks that say something along the lines of "By entering this carpark you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. [name of carpark] is not responsible for any loss or damages occurred in our facility."
So that would stand up in court because you're agreeing to the contract when you enter.
I don't know if it's different in the US though.

I'm not exactly sure about that, but apparently the villagers of Halfeti (where the rose is grown) do seem to regard the rose with a love-hate feeling. They see them as a symbol of mystery and intrigue, but also as a symbol of death and bad omen.

Also, a slight correction: the black rose is not always black, it actually has a very dark crimson hue when it blooms, which turn black in the summer. This is due to the specific conditions that the area serve, including the water and the pH level of the soil. When the seeds are grown anywhere else, they bloom red like usual.

So, that is an actual person, and not just a random silhouette? Never knew that.

The reason why Tom Nook and Crazy Redd have some sort of a rivalry in Animal Crossing is because in Japanese folklore, the tanuki and the kitsune are enemies of sorts, despite both being tricksters in general and being benevolent in certain cases. Another unknown example is the rivalry between Yakumo Ran and Futatsuiwa Mamizou in the Touhou lore.

If your morning commute to work is 20 minutes or less, it's below the national average. New Yorkers have some of the longest commutes, averaging 40 minutes.

The Seattle Pilots were an MLB expansion team that lasted for one season in 1969. On April 1st, 1970 (just six days before the start of the season) the team was declared bankrupt and was relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The move came so late that the new owner had to scrap his initial plans to change the team's colors from royal blue and gold to navy and red.

A very pointless fact: I might have gout.

Chances of developing gout increases when you consume foods high in purine such as anchovies and white cabbage. Which is problematic because I love these two things -3-

In 1917, the Seattle Metropolitans (1915 - 1924) became the first American hockey team to win the Stanley Cup.
They beat the Montreal Canadiens three games to one by a combined score of 19 to 3.

Most areas in North America and Europe, and some areas in the Middle East observe daylight saving time, while most areas of Africa and Asia do not. In South America most countries in the north of the continent near the equator do not observe DST, while Paraguay and southern parts of Brazil do. Oceania is also mixed, with New Zealand and parts of southeastern Australia observing DST, while most other areas do not.

Contrary to popular belief, the company behind Listerine didn't actually invent the word halitosis, but they did popularize the then obscure medical term to make bad breath appear to be widespread and sell more mouthwash.

While the James Bond novels weren’t an immediate hit when they were published, they did get some recognition from at least one American: John F. Kennedy gave From Russia With Love a nod in one of his speeches.

The first skyjacking occurred in 1931 in the skies above Peru. Two rebel soldiers forced the pilot of a Fokker F-27 to fly them over Lima so they could drop propaganda pamphlets onto the city.

Alfred Hitchcock was notoriously hard on actors. He was once quoted as saying, “Actors are cattle”—a quip that stirred up a huge outcry. In response, he issued this correction: “I have been misquoted. What I really said is, ‘Actors should be treated as cattle.’”
