New Year's resolutions Back to the Future edition: 2015

Post by Liam »

The calendar marches one further solar rotation forwards, time to get your hoverboards and self-tying shoes out of the storage shed!

What are your resolutions?

I don't really have one, but if I did it would probably be to be a better person. Maybe to do better in school.

Invent the affordable personal hover board by the end of the year would be nice too. :P

I'm going to try to have a job by the end of January.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Much to do this year:
1.) Figure-out dissertation subject ASAP (very likely involving EnKF data assimilation and stochastic physics in numerical weather prediction) and grind away from there.
2.) Lose 20 lbs and get back in shape (back to the chamber of infinite fortification).
3.) Be more tidy and organized.
4.) (if time remains) Become a better artist/writer (maybe take a few summer courses on the side).

Finally finish playing some games I keep on putting off due to procrastination and OCD.

Maybe I should add losing weight, as I am fat. I need to start eating better and doing physical activities, not just sitting at the computer doing nothing productive.

I also have some games I want to beat. I always seem to put those off.

Lots of people want to lose weight. After seeing some RL pictures, I don't think that people are that chubby.

 New Years resolutions?

Be studying at a University.
Eat even healthier. I'm healthy, but my diet is chaotic.
Be a better drum player

Those are just goals for the whole year.

Exactly what do you mean when you say you have a chaotic diet?

One week, I'm eating healthy. The next week, I don't eat anything healthy at all.

I never really eat anything healthy or do much physical activity outside of scouts. I need to start. Just so hard when none of the healthy food we get in my house taste as good as the pizza rolls or fries. :P

Yeah, I need to go outside more, I love the outdoors, but never use them.

I try not to eat in excess. Most of m exercise comes from walking around campus or my job at a library. My boyfriend is the health nut who is a big volleyball fanatic.

Yeah, healthy food just doesn't taste a good, makes it harder to eat right.

I suppose I should add that one to my list. This is probably going to be the last few months I have to spend with my mother for a few years.

I want this to be a great year, got already lot of plans to do in it. There's lot of private stuff, some public too and even a really unique special one. ;) I won't say any of them, otherwise none could happen. :P

I thought of a good one. Learn to drive before the end of January. I have already been putting it off for 4 months, and said I would by the end of December. I don't think that worked out well. :/

Most of the above. Though I would like to add in work more on the book I'm writing and be a bit more friendly (as much as my patience can withstand).
There is always a mystical adventure awaiting you. You just have to find it and take the first step into epicness.

... Oh, would you look at that. It's done. :P

I do have one thing I'd like to do this year assuming all of the pieces fall into place. I'm not gonna tell though because I just need to wait and see what happens.
