It slaps me on the knee. Good times!

Discuss your loadouts, strategies, and whatever else you do in the world's foremost war-themed hat simulator.

I know this isn't the nicest thing to do, but I like using human shields. What is better protection than something that can shoot for you and doesn't effect you (much) when it dies

I tend to stick to Pyro due to my computer's limitations.

I've taken the role of spy-checker to a whole new level.

I AM ZE UBERMENSCH!
Mostly I just medic around pocketing people who look like they know what they're doing. Joining with my friend so I can pocket him without real fear of death because he's a comp player and can hold his own most of the time. Sometimes I pick up the Ubersaw and duke it out with everyone else on the other team because battle medics are lulzy sometimes.
Otherwise I jump around people with my Santa Soldier set on and shout merry christmas over the chat.

Engineer with the Frontier Justice. I love using it to chase down whoever destroyed my gun and hopefully anyone other than a heavy. X3 My favourite strategy is to setup turrets in the open and the dispenser in a common wall point that players don't have to keep running for to reload.

I generally prefer to play the Medic when I want to move around more, though. My preferred strategy is to either use the Ubersaw with the overdose, or go for the Crusader's crossbow and Amputator to grab my +2 health per tick bonus.

I'm basically a Soldier main, but I really enjoy Pyro and (mini-sentry) Engineer, too. All will quake in fear of my Strange Gunslinger! ;3

I once played a sniper with a Strange Huntsman. Many feared it, I could take out a lot of people from a good distance. It was fun, but now I am a pyro fan.

I'm probably the worst Sniper you will ever meet on that game. :P Have had the game since December of last year and have probably played as Sniper a total of 34 minutes.

In regards to what I play most, I generally just try to play a class it looks like the team needs at the moment, switching as needed, but my preferred classes I go to when I can are Pyro and Engineer. Regarding loadouts I pretty much stick to the base stuff. Boring but practical, that's my motto. :)

Does anyone here read the official comic?

I've read the official comics, they're pretty funny. I do enjoy it when Saxton comes crashing in through a window.

I should add that when it comes to taking out sentry nests, I find the Soldier's rocket launcher that fires multiple rockets to be very useful.

Also prefer Demoknight to Demoman, especially on Capture the Intelligence. Nothing so satisfying as hacking my way to the briefcase and then activating my charge to zoom away.

I think you and I would have fun against each other. I am always the pyro in that mode. and I love catching demos

And on that note, dueling Pyros are fun, heh. ;)

I don't actually play since I'm not that into hats.

also lost interest in games in general, but I follow some of the story behind the game.

Most of my interest in Team Fortress 2 has become the short films, comics and other story related media.

I played it for quite a while, but I have come to the point where, unless someone I know and can have fun with while I play is online, I do not want to play it.

I love TF2 still, and can play at least OK as every class but the Pyro (who I seem to suck at). My top 3 favourite classes are Spy, Medic and Scout and even though I took a LONG break from playing Spy he's still my most played class.
Loadouts:
Spy - Ambassador, snack attack, specialised killstreak black rose, cloak and dagger, pda
Medic - S. overdose, S. quick-fix, S. ubersaw
Scout - S. professional killstreak shortstop (or back-scatter), crit-a-cola, holy mackerel.

As Scout, I never stay in one area for long and always leave quickly even if I don't get a kill or just weakly damage an enemy.
As medic, I help my teammates push but stay behind a little until I have a uber, then I push with them a little further until the uber wears off.
As Spy, I mostly stay cloaked and only pick off easy targets if I know there's no other enemies behind them. If they keep turning around or spy-checking, I leave them alone and stay away from them.

Anyone have any opinion on the new Payload map, Cactus Canyon? Seems a little easier for the defending team so far, from my limited experience. Needs more work.

The new game mode, Robot Destruction, also needs a lot of work. I couldn't find my way around the game map, lol. XD

Most of my Scout death are from sentries, if that mattered.

But I don't simply want to live as a distraction.

Bonk! can be for more than simply distraction. You can use it to get a quick look at the lay of the area so that you know what to avoid next time, and relay that info to the rest of the team, or get behind enemy lines and harass them from there in a pincer attack.

Another fun thing that's hard to do is to run between the sentry and the Engie so that he gets killed instead. >:D

I don't think that works. It does when using the wrangler but I've never seen noticeable stuff happen if the engineer gets shot when his sentry isn't wrangled

Well I've been on the receiving end of it more than once, so yeah, pretty sure it works.

I haven't been able to play in months, I really miss TF2 (It's my favorite game).

I need to get better at sniping. I use pretty high mouse sensitivity, which may be part of the problem (~3-4 inches = 360 degrees of rotation).

I can confirm it's possible for an unwrangled sentry to kill its engineer.

I tend to like some of the sillier/"troll" weapons, like the Holiday Punch and Gunslinger (I have Strange versions of both, yay for a depressed fit of unboxing in December). I've said before that the Cow Mangler 5000 is my favorite rocket launcher. I have a few extra pairs of the Holiday Punch gloves; when I get Internet back,, I wanna get some friends together for a Laugh Heavy rush. *giggles*

use to use the wrangler, but I found the mini-sentry much more entertaining. =P

And yes, I certainly do want a pomson 6000 :D

One of my first drops was the Lollichop. I really enjoy PyroVision and PyroLand. The Rainblower is a beautiful thing.
