Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
McDonalds soft-serve ice-cream and fries are also a surprisingly good combination.
Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
Or any soft vanilla ice-cream and shoestring or straight cut fries for that matter. Crinkle cut one doesn't taste as nice though...

I prefer Burger King myself, where I can have it my way.

Well, McD's is just down the street from me so that's the quickest place for me to go.

Anybody had a McRib and Shamrock Shake before?

I've never had them and I don't think I ever will. I was just joking on how you could never get them at the same time at McDonalds, being limited menu items and stuff.

Ah, I see.
You know, I saw on a menu in Thailand "Fluffy Catfish". I'm not sure if that means with the fur still on or if it's just last month's catfish.
We also had marinated jellyfish in Malaysia. It was just like chewing rubber bands.

Speaking of cephalopods, I like octopus and cuttlefish, but not really squids, they're tougher. Ages ago I tried raw sea urchins, and they were surprisingly delicious. I'm not fan of sea food (it may sound an heresy here), anyway.

Now that's a weird favourite to me. It's not the first time I see a such combination, or with milkshake instead of ice-cream (our Gelato is tons better ). But, does it sound repulsive only to me? Why eat fried food together with milk prepared food? I don't like fast foods, never been in one and never will...Hlaoroo wrote:McDonalds soft-serve ice-cream and fries are also a surprisingly good combination.

I remember once eating Catfish on a family vacation in Bermuda (ages ago) and liking it. I don't remember if it was prepared with the fur on it though. And jellyfish, huh?... I can't say I've ever tried that, but it sounds interesting.
It's been a while since I had anything from McDonald's or Burger King. Fries dipped in a shake... sounds like something that should be given a name like "potato cakes." Probably the least healthy food.. next to donuts and zeppole.
Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
That sucks... Potato cakes exist and usually are salty cakes, like the very good potato gâteau ("gattò").dryideabat wrote:Fries dipped in a shake... sounds like something that should be given a name like "potato cakes."
Uh, what you mentioned! I love zeppole! But yeah, not the fried ones because of the above reasons, the oven cooked ones are my favourite.dryideabat wrote:...zeppole.

We got Halloween themed milk. It's orange flavored.

Orange flavored milk? Does not sound very appealing.
Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
Not sure what I think about orange-flavored milk. Curious, but haven't seen that. Could probably make my own, though, wonder if orange extract would go well?
Which reminds me, got in an experimental mood the other day, and mixed blueberry Jell-O powder with Sprite. Came out surprisingly great. And learned that gelatin mix and carbonated drinks don't like to be mixed in enclosed containers.

They spiked the milk?!InDaZone1219 wrote:We got Halloween themed milk. It's orange flavored.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.
Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
I once mixed cherry Pixie Stix in a glass of Sprite, the soda fizzed and foamed up out of the glass. Tasted good, but it went flat fast.D-Rock wrote:Which reminds me, got in an experimental mood the other day, and mixed blueberry Jell-O powder with Sprite. Came out surprisingly great. Anyone here ever tried sourdough pancakes? They're delicious!

Starting to think the whole soda with powder thing will be harder than I thought to perfect. There's got to be some way, though.
Dude, took me way too long to get that joke.Douglas Collier wrote:They spiked the milk?!InDaZone1219 wrote:We got Halloween themed milk. It's orange flavored.

I guess I'm too normal. Nothing I like is weird, but I typically don't like a lot of 'Soul Food' myself.
