Ooh, sriracha! I can only handle a little bit (it fries my mouth), but I like to get it on steak & cheese on flatbread, along with chipotle sauce - my favorite order at Subway (not weird, but just sharing something I enjoy ).Vegas wrote:Something I used to do working at Subway; we had a sub using imitation crab meat and I would order that with pepper jack cheese, maybe two or three large handfuls of jalapeno peppers, a handful of banana peppers, pickles, tablespoons of sriracha, chipotle, and buffalo sauces, a little bit of ranch and some oregano.

Despite all the odd concoctions I've tried, a pickle milkshake still sounds awful.

Grilled peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwiches are pretty good
One time there weren't any banana's, but I had jalapenos... it was good.
I also like deep fried pickles and zucchini dipped in honey mustard, but that isn't really weird... is it?

At one point, one of my favorite foods was chicken noodle soup with margarine melted into it.
Other food combinations that I like that are a bit unusual are pickled(the little cocktail ones especially) onion sandwiches (butter or margarine spread thickly on the bread)sometimes also with tuna. I also like drinking some forms of vinegar straight.
Other than that, I'm pretty mundane in my likes of food combos, and I'm not a fan of anything really spicy or hot usually (there's exceptions but not many)

Wow. I am quickly feeling that my suggestion isn't worthy of this thread. Which is sad, considering it's pretty much what started this.
So regarding peanut butter, anyone else ever have that in a milkshake? Made a handful of those at work, and tastes surprisingly good.

Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
I've tried a chocolate and banana milkshake before...
I've also tried strawberry-chocolate milk due to being indecisive and curious. It had the appearance of chocolate milk with pink chunks of something that was presumably the strawberry syrup. It tasted bittersweet too, and I never finished it either due to the concoction's appearance and taste.
I tried the dual milk drink years before I tried the choco-banana milkshake.

Chocolate banana milkshake? I was practically raised on the stuff. But as I grew older, I was surprised by how few people actually did that. They were usually one or the other. Yep, I was fortunate.
And that milk combo does indeed sound odd. Maybe it would have worked better if both flavorings were the same type, like both powders or both syrups? You know, odd how I love strawberries and chocolate but never mixed their flavors. And no, don't think having chocolate-covered strawberries counts for that (though still delicious).

Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
Well, I take chicken nuggets and cook them with cheese over them. When both the nuggets and cheese are hot, I put them in a tortilla lined with creamy peanut butter and broken up chips (preferably Lays Classic). I then heat up hot dogs and place them inside the tortilla with the other ingredients. Pour a little lemonade over the food to give a sweet taste to it (enough to get the ingredients a little damp, but not make the tortilla soggy). Put cooked ground beef over it and heat the ingredients a little longer. I then take crushed red pepper, salt, parmesan cheese, and cayenne pepper, and sprinkle it over the food. Wrap and eat.
For drinks, I usually take Monster, Mt Dew, Coke, Fanta (orange), and Mello Yellow, mix them together, then mix hot sauce in with it.
Kinda weird, but I LOVE it.

I tried making one once, didn't turn out right. I used all-natural peanut butter, it separated and made the shake oily.D-Rock wrote:So regarding peanut butter, anyone else ever have that in a milkshake?

I like putting some in mashed potatoes with a little bit of sriracha sauce.

Yeah, I've heard that some types of peanut butter can separate. We used JIF at work. I'm sure that that stuff is made to not separate.

I would imagine that the Pepsi overpowers the Coca-Cola.
Re: "Weird" favorite foods?
That sounds likely, I do find Pepsi sweeter.
Side question, I've read that Pepsi is more popular in the northern United States, while Coca-Cola is more popular in the south. Though I live in Texas, I prefer Pepsi. So anyone here that can correlate my readings?

Where is Rhode Island in terms of it being north or south? Because we all drink Coca-Cola here. At least in my house.

I'm pretty sure it would count as north. Northeast, specifically. Which is why I asked for correlation, as that's a bit easier to find than confirmation. Though in hindsight, I probably could have looked up sales reports if they publicize that.Amazee Dayzee wrote:Where is Rhode Island in terms of it being north or south? I could never understand the whole Coca Cola vs. Pepsi thing. I'll drink both of them happily enough myself. Although I will drink more Coca Cola when I have problems with phlegm build up and I will drink Pepsi Max over Pepsi
Often if I have a meal at subway, i'll have a mixed drink composed of Solo, Coca Cola and Fanta.
Once one of my relatives made a dish comprised of rice, turkey spam, peanut butter, vegemite and soy sauce plus a few other things when he came down and surprised me when my cupboard was well, pretty bare, was actually okay-ish, if you ignored the aftertaste. I promptly went shopping the next day however.
