Does peanut remind you of JD Puppy? (especially the fur colour imo)

JD Puupy is some sort of fur-suiter as stated on wikiFur here.

I don't mean to nitpick, but shouldn't this thread be on the comic section?

It's the forum of a comic whose cast is mainly populated by anthropomorphic pets. While not furry exclusive, the furry fandom is well represented on this forum, references to aspects of the furry fandom are inevitable.
although I agree that there has been a bit of an increase in furry related topics recently.

To keep to the topic, the version one JD puppy in the photo on wikifur bears a slight resemblance to peanut, but version two does not, it's the floppy ears.

I'm presuming it's because there are more forum members these days and that means, more users from the furry community. Afterall, there is no forum rule which forbids the discussion of the furry fandom.

By the way, I started this topic because I looked at the comments for the very first comic Rick produced (All HAIL the Rain King!) and it appeared that JD Puppy commented in the comments section. He claimed that Peanut had a similar personality to the character he plays; this interested me since I saw him breakdance on a Youtube video so I looked him up on http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/JD_Puppy .

Yeah, the forums have been feeling a bit more furry as of late...I mean yeah, there are a lot furries here, but...all I know is that the furry topics often attract a lot of trouble, so a lot of them popping up worries me a slight bit. Most of the ones involving serious furry discussion have ended up being locked for one reason or another.

As for this topic... No, I don't see any resemblance at all.

I usually associate fursuits with, you know, "the other side" of the fandom. The not so "clean" one.

You have a point there. But no fursuiter ever came to my door before. Maybe its because I live in a bad neighborhood. Its dangerous to go out at night. Even if its is Halloween.

Maybe they look a little similar, but Peanut definitely isn't that big.

Though there are certain restrictions to keep it PG, which the threads pertaining to the dark side of furry break with increasing regularity.

Guys, its a fur suit. I'm not fond of them myself but its far from "hardcore," unless you consider Narutards dressing up as Sasuke or whatever his name is profane.

HeCK, as far as cosplaying goes I'm considering making myself an Engineer or Medic get-up one of these days.

Shuttup I know I'm a nerd D:::

But really I'm not a fan but fursuiting is far from breaking the pg rating in the majority of cases.

I was about to google TF2 cosplayers before I realized you meant Zelda Link, and weren't just confusing Valve for a Nintendo game developer.

Hardcore =/= Above PG13

While they may associate, being a hardcore furry is mostly associated with wearing fursuits, it's not so much about "breaking the rating".

My point still stands though, as people have said they associate fursuiting with the supposed "bad side" of the fandom, as well as finding it creepy, which I think is just silly.

I don't have the body for Spy or Scout.

I wanted to do spy though. He's my favourite class.

Medic is my second favourite class, but my body structure and face would work best as an engie.

Well, I never gave my oppinion to the question...

I think he looks like Peanut and acts like Peanut...but his fur colour is closer to Fido's. This is in my opinion though. Of course the fur pattern is still like Peanuts.

Come to think of it, Peanut does look like JD puppy a bit, but a much darker shade of color. I surprised nobody came up with a Peanut from HP fursuit yet.
