I've mainly been playing Left 4 Dead on my PC and Battlefield Bad Company 2 on my 360.

Also, if anyone has Steam on their computer, go to the store and download Alien Swarm, it's a free 4 player co-op top down shooter made by Black Cat Games using the Source engine.

It has 4 classes, 8 characters and has full SDK support for community made maps.

Apparently when you "permanently buy a game" on OnLive, you're actually only renting it until sometime in July 2013, seems kinda strange.

I got an invite for Onlive, but they wanted my credit card info even though it would be free. Really wouldn't want to subscribe, then forget I was. I'm just fine with Steam, well once I get back to my desktop *sigh*.

For Onlive to work you need constant internet access. What if I want to play my games online without being connected? What if i can't be connected? Then its useless.

I believe that OnLive won't be popular in the long run simply because of Steam existence as the top game distributing service on computers.

If anything it seems like OnLive is trying to compete with them, which I think is impossible, considering all the sales that Valve puts on their games on Steam.

Onlive is meant to allow people to play 360 games on their PCs. Some games come out for consoles and not PC (those dirty devs and publishers), so that's the niche Onlive is trying to fill. I'm not really interested in playing on consoles, the community isn't there at all and everyone is out to be annoying to everyone. The dbags have taken over console services, and they can have 'em.

The whole point of Onlive is to turn your computer into a better computer or a console because many people can't afford an expensive or high end console. But think about it, if you saved up the money you put into onlive subscriptions, that console or computer can be yours in no time! Plus you won't be restricted to some cheap looking add on and a constant internet connection. Plus i don't like the idea of subscription fees, i always feel restricted by them.

Anyone play Harvest Moon 64. I went and bought that game used after gamecube came out and it was $50 but it was worth it. Never could finish it but it was so fun.

Only Harvest Moon game I really got into was Harvest Moon: Back to Nature on the PS1.
I spent loads of time taking care of crops, livestock, giving wine to that one lady to get her affection up.
It was a lot of fun, but now I have MMOs and Animal Crossing to get me to do menial pixelated labor.

Other than my computer games, I tend to play my old consoles (NES, SNES, Genesis, N64) more than my new ones (360, PS3, Wii).
SNES is probably the best console of all time. So many games on it I can go back and play over and over again.

Ashamed to admit it, I play World of Warcraft. But I also play Rockband, flash games, and I've always been a fan of the Marvel vs. Capcom series (I'm not very good at it though). Speaking of which the wolf, Amaterasu, from Okami is a playable character for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3, making this a definite buy for me.

I started playing Okami again. I really had the urge to play that, so I did. I didn't finish the first time, so I'm trying to beat it this time before Okamiden comes out (I've got a while). But I won't beat it right away because... Starcraft II comes out in a few days! Woo!

Who else is getting it?

Thanks for believing in me, Tobee :D
But, I meant it as a joke.
I guess I should finish my Okami game before Okamiden comes out.
I think more people are used to the Street Fighter gameplay because it's the franchise that's been around the longest. I'm a fan of it, but I'm not going to bash on the Tekken people. The story-lines were much better in the Tekken games imo.

So my brother really wants to me to get Starcraft 2 with him but i have never played the original before while he has. While I have never played starcraft before, i know that the pros can smoke me even without arms or functioning eyes. The game as far as i know is filled with people who have been playing it for who knows how long and im afraid this will end up like another counter strike source dilemma. (i got cs:s and every game i play on dust or an official map i end up eating dirt). So i dunno, should i buy it or not? I don't mind losing, but when my win lose is like 1:10 it really makes things unfun.

PS: Im not bad at RTS' but the skill needed for starcraft is like the same as doing brain surgery in a half hour.

Convince him to pay for half/part of it. Then when you find you don't enjoy getting crushed by the "asian advantage" when you play ranked, you can go back to doing what you had been.

Never enjoyed SC or most of Blizz's games. Though I'm not really an RTS player, i do enjoy TBS (Civ4, Total War).

I believe there's going to be a ranking system that helps match players with similarly skilled players. That's good for me too, because I too am not super great.
