i just watched it. i absolutely loved it! but i was wondering if someone could explain to me, in the end, what does it mean?

in the end, they say "i thought that, if the world won't change, we would never reach happiness." but then it says "but there she is!". what does it mean?
does it mean like, that even though the world won't change, as long as they have each other they will still be happy?

I thought those videos were interesting, highlighting intolerance in the world always attracts an audience. And she was certainly very persistant.
@ Jack - I think it does mean that, or that she was worth fighting for in terms of fighting for change in their society, or that he wanted to be with her regardless of what others thought or wanted.

so i was reading on Wikipedia. it does say that in the end they disregarded all other opinions and just stayed together and thats how they reached happiness. there is a lot of symbolism in that animation. like how green leaves start popping up on that tree and how they danced in the end to dodge debris. that thing is interesting!

After my friend showed me this on new grounds about a year ago I... well, really before that I never knew much at all about internet artwork and such. This was basically why a started drawing not to mention why I joined this comic. This cartoon is definitely a major milestone in my creative life.
I drew an enormous amount of fan art for this (I swear I usually would never get caught up in any fandom stuff) and it really helped me develop my drawing style mainly because its simple mostly black and white designs were a great place for a beginner to start.

i pretty much figured that out from the get-go (never used that phrase before :0) but until i read about it, i couldn't really understand the ending. but now i know what it all means so i am happy and content. ^^
