"Caeruleus, you need to be more careful, you almost gave me a fright there!" Standing up slowly to not let history repeat itself, the armless man exhaled one last time, and faced Avery. "Right, let's head for the entrance." Again, something struck him. "Wait, we never did buy tickets for the show, right? How are we supposed to enter then?" He pondered over this as they made their way towards the waiting blue canine.

Ashe however was perplexed, her head tilting to the left. "Box seat? Like, they gave us a cardboard box to sit in? That's not very nice..." In any case, she could care less for the theater play, only because she never been to one anyway, and everyone seemed stoked about it. Maybe just give it a try?

Eric nodded and left.

John was shuffling on his feet again, struggling not to look embarrassed with eyes steadily set on the droid named Eric. This was rather bizarre, being treated like a sort of VIP for most of the day.

A passing usher droid in the form of a cat answers the question.
"Sorry, but no. Wifi is provided free-of-charge in the lobby but the auditorium is shielded from internet access to prevent unauthorised live streaming of the show. If sir has a mitigating need to access the internet then we can provide access depending on sir's seating location, however."

"Good evening, everybody. You are all to be seated in Master Atlas's box, correct? My name is Kelly and I'll be your usher for tonight. If there's anything I can do to make the show more enjoyable then please don't hesitate to ask. If sirs and madams would care to follow me, I shall escort you to your box." Kelly leads the way through a door just to the side of the main double doors which lead to the balcony. Another droid holds the door open as she leads the group down a plushly carpeted corridor and stops just past a curtain.
"Your box is just through that curtain. Please go in and make yourselves comfortable." Kelly turns to the group and gestures to the curtain with a small bow.

John smiled seeing the defeated look on the rat's face upon hearing the news. "Some things never change, even after half a century!"

Offhandedly, Ashe made a remark towards the smart-looking ferret. "Gee, you sure are everywhere inside the theater, aren't you? And in that monkey suit too!"

John slightly creased his brows when hearing Ashe's statement this statement. "Ashe dear, that's her job here in the theater, to help people out and such. You shouldn't call her a monkey just because she is everywhere."

Ashe.
Was.
Dumbstruck.

For a while, not saying anything. All of a sudden she guffawed loud, clutching her sides and bending over double. "HAHAHAHAHA, DAD! That's not what I meant! Oh Dad, you'll be the death of me!"

John was looking even more flustered. "What, did I say something wrong?"

Struggling to stop laughing, Ashe clamped her own muzzle shut, which worked after a while. She sure hope that ruckus she made was a minor one, she had a feeling that neither Kelly nor the hunk that was the otter Ani-droid would approve of her outburst. Or just about anyone else for that matter.

Orion, too, was confused.
Or that her suit IS a monkey-- HEY LOOK, NOAH! Orion had turned around to see the pet that was previously in the hospital.
I'll be right back, guys, I want to go talk to him. Orion said, walking over to the balcony seats that Noah, James, and Gionni were sitting on.
Noah! Your out of the hospital! Orion shouted. Lilly and Eric followed closely behind him.

Laughter threatened to escape out Ashe's mouth again, listening to the droids trying to comprehend the expression. She stifled it down with her paws again, but she accidentally bit on a finger and she half-yelped-half-laughed in acute pain. "Owowohahahahaowww...." she grimaced with a wide grin.

John was still confused, and to be honest, had his feelings hurt just a bit. Though he didn't really dwell on those feeling much, seeing that the ani-droids as well as Orion were on the same boat as he was. After listening to Dust's short explanation though, he gained an appreciation of the joke apparently hidden within Ashe's expression. "I see, so a tuxedo or formal men attire would be called a 'monkey suit'. I never heard of this term being used at the base before."

The cat in vest was distracted by Orion's call of a new name, followed by him and the two Atlas ani-droids rushing over towards a small enclosure. Curious, she walked along with them, and once inside, observed silently at first. Seemed like there were three of them inside; a fit-looking German Shepherd cy-pet, a lime green ani-droid fox, and a man with a goatee this time, instead of a mullet. Noah... that must be the cy-pet, he looked the most masculine of the three. Though he looked a little off-colour though.

The show will be starting shortly."

Noah and James turned to greet the dog. Hey Orion! Yea I just got out today. I thought I might be there at least a couple days. But no, just a few hours and the only side effect is that I have to wait a bit before I can eat anything. James talked to Orion too. How have you been? I saw that you were having a bit of trouble on the stage. Did you get stage fright?

From the box, Kelly can see, and her colleagues confirm this, that the seats are filling fast. A few short notes are heard from the pit as the orchestra checks their tuning for the last time. JD's head and shoulders can bee seen poking out of the pit as he climbs back onto the small platform in the pit that elevates him so that both the orchestra and the performers on stage can see him conducting. Turning to face the audience, JD exchanges a few words with a droid and passes something to the robot before turning back to the orchestra and ensuring that his music is on the right page to begin. A pre-recorded message from JD begins to play while the last few patrons file into their seats.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, Serpienties, pets and droids, welcome to the theatre! We ask that you take your seats as the show will be beginning shortly. Please ensure that all holophones, comm-cards, pagers and other communication devices and alarms are switched off to avoid disruptions to your viewing pleasure as well as to that of the guests around you. We suggest also that those of you with night-vision or low-light-vision modifications switch to normal vision during the show as some visual effects are created by droids and we're sure that you would much prefer to see the effects themselves rather than a droid's backside."
There's a smattering of laughter from the audience at this joke.
"Should you need them during the show, the restrooms, charging stations and concession stands are located either in the lobby on the ground floor or in the upstairs reception area for those of you seated in the balcony. We'd like to remind you that recording of this show is not permitted and any persons caught recording may have their recording confiscated and be asked to leave. An official recording of this show will be available for purchase from the concessions stand after tonight's show in a variety of formats. Please ask our friendly staff should you have any questions. Once again, thank you for coming and welcome to the theatre! We now invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!"
A hum of excitement has been building in the crowd throughout the message and it culminates now that the droids are shutting the doors and the lights including the massive chandelier overhead gradually begin to dim.

Kelly smiles at Avery, attempting to put him at ease. "Of course, sir. Completely understandable. Your seat is this way. Many people react like that on their first time."
As the lights begin to dim, Kelly illuminates her paw as she aids Avery and then Orion and his guests to their seats. A few other lights are visible in the crowd as other ushers do the same for other latecomers. The chandelier is now down to half-brightness and dimming fast.

Avery took in the sights, looking around the box. It was impressively high over the rest of the seats, though for some reason it didn't bother the dog so much this time.
Now focusing on the seats in the box the dog took one to the side, leaving the center seats open for others.

With everyone now in their seats, the theatre is completely dark except for the lights that highlight the aisles and the stairs and the faint pinpricks of green light that denote the ushers' night vision sensors. There is a tense, excited anticipation which almost seems tangible in the audience as the keenest of eyes spot JD in the pit raising his arm with a baton held loosely in his hand. Bringing it down, the orchestra plays a few bars of introductory music whilst a simulated sun rises over the town on the stage before a single human steps briskly into the spotlight, clutching a small box in one hand and with a goofy smile upon his face. Walking towards the front of the stage and looking ridiculously happy and excited he opens his mouth and begins to sing, gesturing and dancing along with the lyrics.
"Today's the day!
I'm going to tell her!
Today's the day!
I'll give her a flower!
Today's the day!
Can't stop thinkin' about her!
Yes, today's the day!
I'm going to ask her!
And I'll become hers and she'll become mine!"
As he sings, other actors and actresses, some droids or cypets and some humans of various ages appear from the wings and from the various buildings on stage, all adding their own plans for the day as the music bounces merrily along.

Noah sat in the seat next Avery while James sat on his other side. They watched the opening of the play with intrigue on where the story was going with this. So its a musical eh? hopefully the songs are catchy. James muttered to Noah while keeping his eyes on the stage. The openings a bit cliche but it still seems promising. Noah muttered back before he turned to Avery. I don't think we've met before. My names Noah walker and my dad here is James walker. Whats your name? Noah said as he stuck out his hand. He noticed that some of the fur on Averys body was a slightly different shade from the rest, but he decided not to say anything about it.

"James Walker... Sounds familiar." The dog vaguely recalled something about some vids a staff member of the hospital showed him while he was a patient there.
