Miguel shrugged, "I often wonder how far we'd get if we stopped fighting and simple collectively worked together to research and advance our society. As for what I know, a bit of basic Krav Maga and intermediate level Muay Thai. That's about it, watched a few videos on them."

I'd appreciate finding my way around, but given how grateful I am for your help I'd like to stay with you for the night." He smiled and followed her with his eyes, waiting and looking and trying to see what to do. Once he was done drying off he started to shuffle cards.
"You owe me nothing. In fact, I am in debt with you for making this cruise more interesting. So, what's your idea of fun in a small town? I'm game."

Welsh Halfwit wrote:"Uh, only to ask where I meet you for six? Other than that, I don't, um think so, Tegan. You've been most beautiful... uh, helpful! " He blushed and cringed slightly in the seconds after realizing he's said that aloud.
Tegan snickered. "Just doing my duty, officer. And you can find me easily..." she took his wristband and tapped it against her. Both bleeped. "There. Now we are synchronized. When you want to find me, just say 'Locate Tegan', and go catch me." She walked away and turned one last time, winking and showing her tongue tip. "Have a nice day."

She sat back down however, after realizing something. "I would really love to in all honesty, but I really shouldn't. Reggie specifically said that I shouldn't leave, so I won't." When Ramona realized another thing, she asked the unicorn, "Wait a second. How did you know I'm female?" A gasp, then, "Is that another thing ani-droids can do?! You can tell what gender I see myself as just by looking at me?! Oh my gosh, everything here is just so cool!" She squealed once again. Was there no end to this city's amazement?
The unicorn opened her chest. Apparently, this personality wasn't informed that the patient's data were already available to the doctor, so the droid opted to keep the secret.
From the compartment in its chest, the droid extracted a visor. "This will permit you a full VR exploration of the ship while sitting comfy here. Want to try?" She handed out the gadget.

"War and competition drove technological advacement. Most of the modern technology was developed during war, cold war, market wars. When all necessities are satisfied, societies become lazy, they lose the drive to improve. Though it is important that competition does not end up destroying both parties. And I will train you. No question. Here we are." Asur stopped in front of an elevator. "Follow me. This lead directly to the laboratories."

When the unicorn finished the explanation, Ramona could only stare at the visor. Then, realizing what she had, squealed again. Oh my gosh! Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!" she said as she grabbed the visor from the unicorn's hooves and placed it on her head. "So how does it work? Voice command? Retinal scan? Some other third thing?" she asked in an overexcited tone.

"my idea of fun?" Roux said, grinning and buckling his collar back around his neck. "I love to play a game of chance or two, get the lay of the land. Maybe win something in the process, eh chere? How about we find some people to meet, and get to know them. Maybe win something off them. Maybe have some adventures, get past the guards of this city, have a little fun?"

Both Miguel and Enrique stepped onto the elevator. "I like Krav Maga the most. Fast and it doesn't have many flashy moves, it's very to the point." He looked at the screens on the wall as the elevator headed towards its destination. "In today's world though I never was much for hand to hand. There's an access point in everything, you just have to find it." He smiled.

Delilah gave a flat look at the mention of Titanic and Tee gave an amused smile, "And here I was thinking an iceberg joke was going to be tasteless."

Delilah turned to her sister, "Same."

Tee shrugged again, "Well, I guess we'll get outta your fur and leave you to chat about theater." She turned to the wrist band to remind herself of where to go, nodding when the directions were confirmed, "Well, sis, let's grab some grub. Nice chatting with ya Nessie, Kelly."

As the two left the polite cat and theater android Delilah smiled and said, "I do hope other chatting partners will be as pleasant as those two."

"Why, thank you," Francis said, watching Tegan go with a smile before he headed up towards the rest of the ship. He had plceds to go and people to see. And record. And talk too. He pssed by several crew members and Anidroids, greeting them as he went before he came to one of the main restaurant areas with the foods laid out. He headed in and glanced around before heading to one of the open tables where another had just arrived. "Quite a ship, this," he tried as an opening venture.

The droid helped Ramona set the thing better. "Just say 'tour', then you'll find yourself walking out of this room and from there go wherever you want. Everytime you want to check out the place, say 'map' and you'll see the options allowed. Name one of your destinations and you will find yourself in front of the door leading to them. Got it?"

Sandine went in the restroom to put on new clothes. From the door, her voice said, "'Getting past the guards', now that0s how a spy would talk. I like it. But first let's get the lay of the land. What do you play, usually?"

Another sly saurian grin. "You're talking with the best. When I'm done with you, you'll find weak points in solid rock. But here we are."
And 'here' was definitely a big place. The cabin descended into an Atlas workshop, where robots, humans and droids were all working on assembly lines, testing check-points, computer terminals the likes of which the market yet had to see...
"Quantum computers," Asur said. "The only way to chekproof and test any improvement to the local AIs." Despite the great activity, it wasn't in all a noisy place, save for occasional hums, the sparkles from the welders and whirring noises of the robots assembling or disassembling the droids.

"Define 'good'," said a young man nibbling on a sandwich. He looked thin, with a beard and a hat that screamed 'hipster'. "Oh, sorry. Adam Male, Screenwriter." He offered his hand. "Want something that is not cloned to eat? You won't get another chance, and they didn't save on expenses." He pointed at the buffet area, which appeared still rich with foods despite the continuous flow of people and furs.

"I guess it is," said a cat, approaching him. A cat...with a collar that actually reminded a clerical collar. And as tag, he sported a tiny golden cross. "But like all works of Man, it should not be considered mightier than the work of our Creator..." he smiled. "But sorry, I really should stop doing this instead of introducing. Ramona quickly opened her mouth to say something, but shut as she seemed to realize something. "Um, is there any chance that these can show the insides of other peoples homes? I just wanna know cause Reggie says that he's gonna do a job interview with a 'Karahalios' family, and I kinda wanna see what it's like at their place." She swung her legs as she asked this, cautious not to hit her. "Oh! Also, what is your name? I'm Ramona!" she stated as she stuck out her paw. So silly of her to forget! Oh well, at least she remembered!

Enrique looked around at the place, his eyes sweeping over every machine, terminal, and assembly line in the building, "I could build you an entirely new body here... An entirely new body out of reinforced carbon..." He stared around the shop in awe of the place, "Assuming that they'd let me use it. The legal agreement says no parts, it never said anything about not manufacturing my own. I have the feeling that I'm going to be down here quite often." He idly followed Asur around as he thought about what he could create. "Oh boy... He's going to try and experiment again. This time though he'll have actual machines. Makes me curious as to what he can do, I've never seen him work with actual machines before, just the ones in his shop. Only time will tell." He turned to Asur instead of letting his eyes wander, "So who is Dr. Volken? Aside from what I assume is an inventor. Is he an employee?"

Francis accepted the hand. "I should warn you, sir," he said warmly, "that I am not particularly religious but I have great respect for those who hold belief. It's something to do with honor, I think. Francis Devon."

"Poker, blackjack, roulette..." Roux said, watching the door she'd gone into and waiting. "Pretty much anything but I'm good at counting cards for blackjack." He smiled, waiting for her to come out.

"See you 'round, Avery!" Makani waves before turning back to the droids.
"African, James? Interesting. So you can cook lots of different kinds of cuisines, huh? So... Correct me if I'm wrong or if I'm misunderstanding you, but do you just cycle through the restaurants replacing chefs on their days off? Or do you work as a chef in your own right and have your own days off? I'm just a little confused, that's all." the cat admits, following Hajime towards the restaurant and motioning James to follow.

====================
"Certainly." Kelly nods. "Would you like balcony seats or floor seats and would paper tickets or e-tickets loaded to your identification bands be most convenient for you?" the ferret droid asks, producing the same holographic map of the theatre she'd shown to Mac earlier.
"And what time today would suit you for your, shall we say, audition?"

"I am capable of multitasking. My current task is merely socialising." she informs Miguel via radio.

The elevator's doors slid open, revealing a man with a five o'clock shade and ruffled hair. He also wore the Atlas blue uniform with the golden band, shoulder to waist. Golden for Head Department, big shot. That would be me, senor. And I am General Overseer to Revision, so if you are planning any modification to your unit, I am the right person to ask." He offered his hand, while his other arm was busy holding a tablet. "And believe me, I'm at your complete disposal." To Asur, he added, "Thank you for not killing them."
"Cabron maldido."

The black cat gave him a firm shake. "Oh, I do not expect anyone to be. Faith is a personal matter, and if I am lucky enough to meet a kindred soul I am too happy...but it's talking with different souls that enriches one..." He chuckled again. "Here I am, doing it again. But of course I know you, your human's name is quite known in the jet set. I am surprised you are not accompanied like the pictures show you."

"Okie dokie, Amber! Karahalios apartment!" Ramona said after she finished the handshake, or hoof shake. When she saw the apartment, she let out an 'oooooooh'. And they seemed to like art! She could paint something for them! She did an internal dance at this discovery. "Wow, so fancy! What do they do as jobs, movie stars? Also, what could they need a butler for?" She took out Reginald's note pad as she said, "Reggie said their dog needed assistance, but what could he have that would need Reggie? And why couldn't they pay for it to be fixed?"

Hlaoroo wrote:"So... You can taste but not eat, right?" Makani asks Hajime, poking at his band. "So how does this thing work?"
"Correct," Hajime replied. He wondered for a bit about Makani asking about the band again, but maybe his explanation was very clear before. He cleared his throat.

"The band around your wrist is your identification band, which serves a myriad of purposes as you live in and explore Apollo City. It is a security measure to ensure that no intruders can slip through the customs counter, as all residents and guests are required to wear it. The band can also serve as a communication device, so you can call us service Anidroids to attend to your needs as soon as you wish. We are at your beck and call, so don't be shy to use the band to call us."

The waiter ended his explanation, again wondering if it's sufficient. The thought was interrupted however, when Avery proceeded to hug him before leaving. His smile softened as he hugged back, waving a bit as she left for her duties. Soon, they themselves left the registration area for the restaurant, his walking pace matching that of Makani's.

Volken led his guests through the glass-walled corridors. "Oh, it's easy: Miguel should not even exist." He looked at the droid ears to feet, approvingly. "A working model made of different-class parts. Like assemblying a car out of parts from different brands and series. Enrique, whatever you did could just make Atlas save billions and precious time: Imagine having to repair a droid on the spot, in a hurry, and with no availibility of the original compatible pieces."

"Oh, but they did come aboard to have that problem fixed: You see, Elpis was born with anophtalmia, meaning he has no eyes. Atlas Corporation, together with the medical staff, is working on a pair of artificial eyes that should allow Elpis to see perfectly. In the meantime, he needs a friend to interact with. Everyone treats him with condiscendence because of his handicap, and that hurts him. Think you can be nice to him?"

"O-oh." Ramona says. She then lets out a sniffle, then, the water works. "Bwaaaaaah! That's so horrible! Born without eyes? That's a cruel fate indeed!" she wailed. She stopped slightly at the mention of artificial eyes. "A-artificial eyes? So h-he could see?" She jumped from her chair in a feat of joy. "Yay! A happy ending! And don't worry, I'll make sure that all of us are nice to him! Reggie will be his usual self, Boxer could be like a bodyguard, and Bullet... won't be out near him!" she said triumphantly.

"It was actually surprisingly easy, I simply think that Atlas didn't think about it in their haste to cater to every individual customer in order to make them individualized. Older models are designed and built differently from the newer models, there's no standard. Miguel is built completely off of the idea of a standard model. All of his joints are connected by universal joints milled by myself. They incorporate a design that can be customized in itself to allow for any model currently on the market and even future models. It's a composite build of carbon nano-weave and graphene that has been bonded together using settafluoro-5 as a bonding agent. Rather expensive, but worth it, this weave makes them nearly indestructible when it comes down to constant movement." He patted Miguel on the head, earning a slight smile from the wolf, "Home built, from the ground up practically, he's pretty much a son to me." Miguel decided to add his 2 cents in to the conversation, having heard what Asur said about opening him up like a tin can, "If it's for the betterment of a company who's parts I'm built from, I guess I'm okay with being taken apart. Just... remember where everything goes... Please?"

"MULTI Elevator it is!" Avery quips happily, striding over to one and pressing the button next to it. As they waited the canine turned to her robotic companion.

"I don't think I've asked this before Jemmy, but what exactly does your owner do, err. Profession-wise. As you have taken the position of my assistant, I'd like to be to know you a bit better." She smiled merrily at him.
"Sleep is due to me... And I have a dream to live."

Roux took her arm, smiling up at her. "Of course chere, I'd be happy to." He grinned and started walking to the door with her, tilting his fedora down on his muzzle. "And once I meet your buitiful ward, well I just have to hope her loveliness can't outshine yours don't I?"

"I, um, suppose," Francis said, minorly intrigued by the conversation, "but isn't freedom as much where we're going as where we are? Two days ago, surrounded by droids, I could only look towards the relative freedom I, er, have now. Freedom's not just for the Earth but for the spirit."

Amber patted her shoulder. "Oh, I am sure you will do just fine. Elpis needs someone as lively as you in his life. But remember: when you talk to the doctor, you must say everything about your other friends, ok? After all, he must give you the ok to go play with Elpis."

Deske wrote:"It was actually surprisingly easy, I simply think that Atlas didn't think about it in their haste to cater to every individual customer in order to make them individualized. Please?"
At that, Volken gave a hard slap at Asur's neck, make his head tilt hard forward. The saurian rubbed the offended part, glowering at the human, "If it weren't for the safeguards, cabron, *you'd* be so dissected. By hand."
"No one is disassembling anyone here, Miguel," Volken said. "This is not the 50s, we have everything at disposal to scanalyse you head to toe without removing a single bit of sintskin. In fact, I *must* give you a good look as the precious whole you are. And Jemmy too will love to meet you. He's got my curiosity."

They entered the elevator. No one else was there. Once the doors slid close, the genet said, "I could tell you, but first you'd need to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Officially, Asur and I are just the personal droids of Dr. Helmut Volken, which is part of the truth, but...Hold it please, let me check legal safeguards..." Jemmy's eyes flashed a couple of times, his gaze lost somewhere in the recesses of his own database...
Then they stopped flashing. "I think I can answer to that. Asur and I are military anidroids, committed by the Pentagon, the first fully operative of our class, codenames "Terminator" and "Passepartout". Asur has specs into assault, commando and demolition. I have been built for infiltration, espionage, data gathering. In fact, you could think of me as a walking hacking system."

Miguel sighed in relief, "Good, being taken apart is a rather nerve-wracking experience. I don't really know what kind of scan you're talking about, but I assume it's like an X-ray that humans get when they break a bone. I've always wondered why you don't just give yourself replaceable limbs. One breaks, you replace it with a functioning one. Fast, easy and painless. Another thought for another day though, I suppose." He took his sunglasses off and looked at the doctor with a *click*. "So, will it be like an X-ray or is it something more complicated than that?" He almost reluctantly slipped out of his jacket, revealing the gaping hole in his side, and swung it over his shoulder with a paw.

"Alrighty then Amber!" Ramona said, giving a silly salute. She put a finger to her chin as she said, "I do hope they give us an 'all clear'. Reggie probably chose caretaking for me, that way if we switch during his shift, I won't end up getting us fired by not doing the stuff he's suppose to do." She let out a laugh after saying this though, and said, "I'm sure they'll allow it though! Only one of us is misguided, after all."

Once the small entourage reached the restaurant, Hajime was about to lead Makani towards a table when he was called upon by a lady. He grumbled a little inside, but didn't reflect that outside; that would be unprofessional. "Excuse me, Makani-sama, another guest needs my attention. I will be with you shortly." A bow, and the otter left for the pair requiring his services. They were an attractive couple, a lady dressed in a white evening dress that hugged her slender figure nicely, and a dog with floppy ears, fluffy fur and a mischievous wink on his pale eyes. He gave his customary bow, before addressing them.

"Good morning, goshuujinsama-tachi, and welcome to the main restaurant. For a lovely pair like you, I would recommend our prime tenderloin steak with red wine sauce and a side of mushroom and spinach gnocchi. Would that be of your liking?"

((OOC: I kinda pushed Makani and James into the restaurant already, so sorry about that. Also, I have no idea if gnocchi goes well with red wine sauce >_<))

Makani indicates that James should follow as he walks with Hajime to the restaurant. He's about to ask the droid a question when he's rudely cut off by a human with a dog. Irritated, he waits by the door for the droid to return and show him to a table. Tapping his paw impatiently, he checks his watch, remembering when he'd given himself his insulin shot this morning. He knows that his insulin is beginning to start kicking in so he needs to eat within the next ten minutes or risk becoming hypoglycaemic. Looking at his band again, he realises that there are no buttons and that he can't prise the cover off and he surmises that it must therefore be voice-activated.

Deciding that it's in his best interests to let his waiter know this, but not desiring to interrupt his conversation he elects to try using his band. He raises it to his lips and whispers to it so that only the band can hear him over the music being piped into the restaurant.
"Erm... Band, message Hajime um, otter waiter anidroid. Tell him 'Makani's insulin is taking effect and he needs to eat within ten minutes and politely requests immediate seating and serving. Please and thank you.' Um, end message and send." Dropping his paw from his mouth, he watches to see if the droid reacts and fumbles in his belt pouch for a glucose pill.

Kelly indicates several rows of seats a few rows up from the stage. "Traditionally these are considered the best seats in the house and are where the playwright or director would sit during rehearsal and development of the production. They afford a good view of the stage especially in the middle seats. However with the layout of our theatre on this fine vessel the front row in the balcony also provides a fine view and good acoustics. I have three consecutive seats available here and here in those two sections. Have you a preference as to which of those sections you would prefer?" Kelly asks again, her programming preventing her from being able to make the decision for the guests in order that the guests cannot claim her as the cause if for some reason they are dissatisfied with their selection.
"With regards to your audition, would now suit you or would you prefer to explore or to eat first?"

Hlaoroo wrote:"See you 'round, Avery!" Makani waves before turning back to the droids.
James follows behind again, having been slightly distracted by more children. Then again, his tail is quite fluffy. Children must like that kind of thing. Seeing Makani speaking into his wristband, James waits patiently for him to finish before speaking.

"I do have a schedule, as today I am working in the main cafe on Level 1. Or at least I was supposed to until I was called up to organize snack tables up here. I'm an extra chef in kitchen when everyone is there, a waiter is more like it, and when there's someone out, I'm a full day chef in that restaurant, even if it's not on my schedule."
