"We gots some of those! Monopoly, Checkers, Othello, Chess, Battleship," Sonjah said, listing off the rest of the games, nodding.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Actually, if you ask me, Will was the over all winner with the most cards, heh," Ellsward said. It was then that Mitch finally walked, slowly and head down, out of the back room. He had his feather crown and necklace on as well. He bowed to the group.

"I apologize for my behavior earlier, that was unbecoming of me and me being a rude host," he said calmly, then he looked up, "I just want to let you know the activities of the day are still planned to go forward. Along with a little extra if you want. My mother and father would like to meet you all, and would love to have you as guests at our first state arrival ceremony. It is your wish to do as you will, and if you do stay, ladies from the bathhouse will be here shortly to attend you. I'd like it if you did come though, it wouldn't be the same." At the last, Mitch scratched the back of his neck.

As they walked, Winni vented her anger and frustration out on the rabbit about the stress the panda's put her through. Then she expressed her fears and anger to the rabbit, all while Wiggins listened closely for her.

After her ranting, Winni sat on the ground, hugging her knees.
Wiggins felt bad for her. Such a big girl, with such a confident attitude, suddenly crumbling in front of him. Wiggins sat down next to her and hugged her closely. It's okay, Winni...
Wiggins said. Winni sobbed into the hug, feeling his warmth and closeness.

"W-wait, what?" Will looked at the other players. "I-i won?" It wasn't often he played cards, and he usually only played with his family. Usually Paige won, though sometimes Randy did as well. This was the first time he had won a game, even if it wasn't with his family.
He looked away from both the other players, and the supposed victory, as he saw Mitch come in, talking about... a ceremony? "W-what's a State Arrival Ceremony?" he asked. "It s-sounds fancy."

Mitch nodded.

"Oh, our state ceremony is drums, fireworks, 21 gun salute, public introductions, then probably a brunch afterward," Mitch said, "Then the days activities will go on as planned. Hey, where's Winnifred and Wiggins?" That last part he was genuinely concerned.

"Fank you, yer 'ighness. I'd love t' attend." Mitch labelling himself as the host and mention of the state arrival ceremony being run by his parents as well as his wearing the feathers confirmed in Chris' mind her suspicions.
"It's soun's like fun! I'm afraid I'm no' exac'ly dressed fer da occasion dough. Dis ain't even my dress collar..." She gestures to the door.
"Dey went dat way. Winifred didn' look 'appy dough. I don' know really wot 'appened."

--------------------
Scotty begins to feel excited again. "Ooh. Do you... you know... wanna come in and play something?" he types.
"I'm sure they can't be far off having our chairs and tables in place. or we could sit outside somewhere. I mean, I haven't even seen our back yard yet. It looked good in the photos the real estate agent showed us though... How familiar are you guys with the town? Know any good spots to hang out?" Scotty suddenly realises something and deletes the next message he was in the middle of typing.
"I'm sorry. I was rambling. I do that sometimes..." he favours the pandas with another apologetic grin.

Winni and Wiggins just sat there on the side of the road after she finished.
Well... that was a long rant... Winni said. Wiggins nodded, but then quickly shook his head.
No, you needed to say that. Its not good to bottle up feelings.. Wiggins replied. Winni nodded and gave him a one-armed hug this time.

"Chief, please! You need to be alive to marry, not with a severe case of the heart-attacks!" Not that Rikki could really hope to be listened to. In fact, as a prudential measure, the ferret kept clinging at his jacket, trying not to fall.
Valiant had never ran so hard since his days at the academy, when he needed to prove he was the best against true champions!
Their car had broken two tires -TWO!!! How unlucky one had to be? And only because they had to brake at a red light! Ridicolous! AND Valiant had to help the human driver...How could everything be his fault?! The world could be cruel!
But at last, the Grandstaffe Village was in sight. Recoursing to the last of his breath, Valiant let out a howl, followed by excited yaps. His eyes started crying, the long-repressed anxiety separation kicking in with full force.

Belisarius was disractedly muching another piece of meat...when his and everyone in the pack's ears flickered in the direction of the call from outside.
"Another wolf?" Nero asked. "Did we miss any--" he cringed, the moment he heard the bath's wooden door crashing!
"I guess Valiant's arrived at last," Titus said, with a smile, looking at the wolf-shaped hole in the wood, a clicking of claws quickly fading in the distance.

"VALIANT!" Belisarius ran through the streets, doing his best not to run through the buildings. The timber wolf howled and repeated the name of his mate...until there he was! The most beautiful sight in the whole world. Relief, guilt, love, desire...everything came up in a turmoil that only led both to run to each other...
And then, as luck would have it, Belisarius tripped! "Whopsie!" he whined, his momentum propelling him onward like a missile.
Rikki decided to let go and roll up a couple of times, deciding a couple of bruises beat being reduced to marmalade.
Valiant had just the time to widen his eyes...before being hit full-force! Both canines ended up in a fuzzy pile rolling on the ground.

When Rikki recovered, she massaged her neck and groaned. "Hopefully, this will be the last time. Owie. hey, chief, are you...ok?" Then she smiled and blushed. "yup, I'd say so."
Belisarius was laying down with the wolfdog over him, and both were hugging, their furs rippling as if they were competing in affection. Their snouts were interlocked in the longest and most passionate kiss the ferret had ever seen between the two, their paws roaming their bodies, petting for reassurance, their tails thumping like drumsticks.
Eventually, Bel and Val broke the kiss, and just lay there, caressing their faces wet with tears of relief.
"next time you invite your family," Valiant said between happy licks to the wolf's black truffle, "Pigeons, smoke signals, pony express...but you won't be going, clear?"
"never again, never again, never again..." Belisarius was repeating. "The nights I spent alone before getting in touch with my pack, i thought I was going crazy..."
Valiant craned his head under the naked neck, ears folded back. "I'm sorry, love, so sorry: for you, it must've been so harder than for me. I so wanted to come after you, leave it all behind and meet your pack first..."
belisarius kissed his forehead. "Told you: no 'invasions'. They needed to hear me first and see you on your grounds. if they wanted to keep rejecting me, at least we wouldn't have humiliated ourselves at their place. Wolf thing."
Valiant sighed, losing himself in the embrace. "No matter. You back. With me. Just Stay." he was trembling, and then said nothing more. For once, he was just a lost puppy who was back with his true family and he was happy with that.
---
"Well, Dorothy was right after all," said an old woman's merry voice behind Scott . "You *do* look like an angel."
The old man with the woman cleared his throat. "Moglie mia, please. I'm sure they're busy enough without us nosing our way in--" but he was cut off with a wave of her hand.
"Shush you, marito mio. We're being only good neighbors as any good American should. Hello, Scott. I am Cinzia and this is Elio. Welcome!"
The man waved to Frances, who appeared to be busy giving the torment to the Craig brothers

Scotty nearly jumps out of his chair in shock at the sudden voice behind him and then nearly tips the chair over as he whips it around to see from whom the voice had come. He grins at the elderly couple with one paw over his thumping heart and waves with his free paw before typing on his tablet.
"Thank you! You must be the Leones. Dorothy and Walter said you lived here with Valiant. Pleased to meetcha." Setting the tablet back on his lap he hold out his paw for a friendly shake.

Seeing the wave, Frances reiterates to the man that the table he's struggling to hold should definitely go on the upstairs landing and not in the downstairs hall even though it's heavy, before walking over to the strangers.
"Hi! Can I help you?" she queries.

Mitch nodded.

"All right, officers," he said, the officers looked at him attentively.

"You will escort our guests to the palace front in about 20 minutes," he said, they nodded.

"All right you guys, see you then! I have to go get ready, sigh," he said, bolting out the door, running as quick as he could. He eventually came up to Wiggins and Winnifred.

"Oh, Winnifred," he said, he stopped, took two steps back, and bowed to her with his face to the ground.

"I wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier. You have every right to ask questions. I care deeply about how others see us and I mistook your concerns for impertinence. I apologize for my hasty decision. And ask for your forgiveness," he said with his face in the ground.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The panda kids stood thinking for a moment.

"Well, we'd need a fourth person though for most of these," Sonjah said.

"As far as knowing the town, no we don't know it that well yet," Vinnie said, "And it's okay to ramble. Just so long as you don't ramble like Mannie, sheesh."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Volkesvadir did a double take as he noticed the hole in the wall.

"You DO know those aren't easy to repair right?" He said to the couple, hands on hips.

"Okay. So... Where do we go?" Chris queries, standing from the table and hoisting her bag over her shoulder again.

--------------------
"Well, there are other games. Plus I have some in a box somewhere too. I'm sure we'd find something." Scotty types to the pandas before turning back to Frances and the Leones.
"Frances, this is Mr. and Mrs. Leone. Dorothy and Officer Walter mentioned them, remember? Valiant's owners."
"Oh, yes, of course. Nice to meet you!" Frances offers her hand.
"I'm Frances Brandson and I see you've already met Scotty. I'd invite you in for coffee but I haven't found the kettle or mugs yet. Or been to the supermarket..."

Elio cleared his throat again. "You will, when the boys have put everything in place. For now, you and your son, and these two young warriors if they want to, will be our guests. Just tell the boys where to put the stuff and they will comply." He smiled for the first time since they met. "Bet you never had some *real* Italian espresso, had you?"

Winni stood to her feet, furious with the panda prince.
DO YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS?! she shouted at him.
You care about self image more than you do your own people!
Winni began walking away, but turned back.
You probably just came to put on a show for Wiggins. You can't have the panda's reputation ruined by some ranting woman, can you?

Mitch didn't care how long this took. He wasn't going to go up to the palace front and be called "prince Mitch" when he couldn't even make his peace with a single person. He didn't dare get up from the ground.

"How?" Was his reply.

"Still, apologies for all the alarm and things getting out of hand so quickly," Chealzeyard said, "We weren't expecting our relatives today."

Your recent actions prove your not shallow... Yet you threatened to take me away from my family because I was giving the panda's a bad image. THEN when someone important comes along that you don't want to talk to, you ignore the call, and THEN storm off like a spoiled child once your ordered to listen. Winni said.
You made the panda's look bad in your hissy-fit, and now you have to apologize. I wouldn't be surprised if after your done here, you decide to kick me out for making you apologize.

That had hurt. Mitch got up quietly, arms hung to his side. He didn't even brush the dirt off. He folded his arms together and looked down. He looked at Wiggins once, opened his mouth as if to say something, then shut it and shook his head. He returned to walking in the direction he was going.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As she walked, a presence started to follow Winnifred. A very, very, very LARGE presence. He hummed a soft lullaby in a deep voice.

Wiggins followed after Mitch quietly, not exactly sure what to say to comfort the panda.
I believe you... You were obviously about to go to something important, yet you went out of your way to find her. Wiggins said.

Winni sighed.
What is it, Wiggins? she asked. And whats with the lullaby?

"The only thing that is really important," Mitch said, pointing in the direction of Winnifred, and then in the direction of the barracks, "Is that, and that. This." He pointed in his direction.

"Is meaningless if those things aren't taken care of first," he said, "You have NO idea how badly I screwed up today."

Whats your problem? She said as she continued walking.

You care about your soldiers. But she isn't the only soldier you need to take care of right now. Chealzyard... Chealyard?... The panda who is currently watching over your guests needs your help, too. Wiggins said. Just give Winni some time... I think her main focus was your timing. Get her alone some time and tell her how you feel about what happened. Make sure your apology gets through to her, even if you have to get ruffed up by her for her to get it.

Elio led Frances toward his house. Funny boys, those pandas, but useful. They make for a good neighborhood watch patrol, they take their job ver seriously."
"I'll give you some of my cookies for Scotty, dear," Cinzia offered. "Keeping up with those two rascals can take a lot of energy.
They entered the house. "Fresh hot espresso ready in five minutes. Elio, don't get her bored with your tales about your old office job."
Elio led Frances to the living room, which definitely reflected the origins of its owners.
"I was not," he called out to the kitchen. He sat down in front of Frances. "I wanted to know if you knew how to play the piano, signora."

"A little snappy aren't we? All I want is a nice quiet forest," Borues said, "And I can't have that with hollering and foot stamping children. Now how 'bout this one? Hm hm mm hm hm. Or this one: Hm mmhm hm mmhm hmmm hm?"

"The others are fine right now really," Mitch said, turning around to Wiggins and stopping for a moment, "I am headed to get ready for a state arrival ceremony. And don't think that that was a state act either. That was me!" He then turned and kept walking.

The two shrugged.

"Why not?" Vinnie said, following the adults.

"Don't kick a gift horse in the mouth," Sonjah said, dragging the wagon, "Come on."

Yeah... Do you want me to go back with the group? Wiggins asked.

Nothings going to get quiet with an... Winni trailed off, remembering not to poke a sleeping bear with a stick... or any bear, for that matter.
If you want silence, you shouldn't have stayed so close to a human town. Winni says, pointing out the top of Valiant's house just behind her.
Now unless you want to stop criticising me on something you know nothing about, or get to your point, then I suggest you leave. Unless you want animal control on your back.

Winni continued to walk toward human civilization, but began wondering how far would this bear follow her. Another question was why a bear would insult her without getting to a point about where she was wrong. Apparently, from what Winni could tell, this bear just wanted to stir up a hornets nest.
