Hey is F-Stop the same as the F-Word then? If so, Max has a very filthy mouth. X3 Though in canon, it's kind of established that he does there also. LOL

no, it's a photography term, a unit of measure for the control of the aperture.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

So if Max goes home, he loses consciousness until somebody dies then he can regain it? That actually sounds pretty dark. Why would he want to go home then? :?
