Citrus (A Scratch-Based Operating System)
There is a fad amongst the Scratch programming community of creating emulated operating systems. Citrus is based off of the complex and brand-new OS architecture, U-Kernel. I plan to add a heavy amount of features, including:
-A text editor that is capable of saving documents and opening them again, even if you stop the program and start it again.
-A paint editor that can do the same thing as the text editor, and allow for every color on the RGB scale.
-An emulated hard drive for opening the saved documents and pictures.
-A streamlined, pleasing-to-the-eye interface.
-Complex login system that can carry two different user types; Administrator and User. Amount of users is infinite. Only Administrators can create more admins.
-Music player that features easily added music.
-the PCKR executable application type, exclusive to the OS, as well as the CIT coding language for creating modular add-ons to the system and a compiler for converting CIT files to PCKR files.
-Basic games, used as a demonstration for the PCKR format.
-Finally, the final version will be compiled in a .exe file. This is so that people don't have to download Scratch to use Citrus.
Citrus is currently in it's pre-alpha stages, and I am busy getting the UI in place. I will add features from then onwards.
If anyone knows Scratch and wants to help, then they can sign on here. Change of plans, this is now an individual project.
