Post Regret
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4960847/

Sometimes we can't help but think
Of all mistakes we've made
A weight that carries on our minds
That makes us all afraid

Sometimes we think of our mistakes
And hope the pain will fade
To us it's very sickening
The evil we have sprayed

You've made all your apologies
And yet the thought still hangs
It clings unto your very soul
And bites you with its fangs

Have they truly forgiven me
For all the things I've done?
You wonder what they think of you
For what can't be undone

The torture goes on endlessly
In spite of our apology

Post Re: Poetry Corner
I wanna mosh so bad right now,
but I'm all alone and I don't know how,
So I slammed my arms on the floor,
and accidentally hit my head on the door,
I broke both my arms and my wrists,
How am I typing this?

I'm not sure if this goes here, but This is a song I've written, inspired by Immelmann's Concession. The lyrics are kinda raunchy, so hopefully this censor'd version is okay:

Concession/Twisted Insanity. By Russell S. W. Fidler II

[First Verse]
Workin’ at the Concession Stand
Right around the block

The pay bad, the boss is lame,
And the costumers can **** a ***

Workin’ here for many years,
Tryin’ to escape

Guess I’m doomed, guess it’s life,
Guess this is my fate!

[Pre-Chorus 1]
I’m goin’ insane
That’s for sure!

Might as well wipe the
Blood off the floor…

[Chorus]
Concession!

Concession, Concession
Concession, Oh yeah!

Givin’ up your freedom and pay
Just to live another day

[Second Verse]
Joel is actin’ like an ***
And Artie’s being a jerk

Angie’s starting to complain,
And Matt’s never late to work.

Dave is off, doin’ somthin’
I’d rather not say

Let’s just hope and pray to god
He’ll be back again today!

[Pre-Chorus 2]
It’s such a
Madhouse in here

Let’s just drop,
And go steal a beer.

[Chorus]
Concession!

Concession, Concession
Concession, Oh yeah!

[Break verse]
Pain, money, ****, murder
Everything that is wrong!

Death, *****, ***, Booze,
Guess that’s why we get along!

Pain, Money, ****, Murder,
Everything that is bad!

Your life may be horrible
But you better be glad!

[Third Verse]
Lookin’ into the mirror
As the plot unfolds

I must extract my vengeance
From a time long ago

Little sister was murdered.
At the age of five

But her spirit still exists.
Her soul is still alive!

[Pre-Chorus 3]
I’m wrapped in
Twisted Insanity

God, can’t anyone
Help me?

[Chorus]
Concession!

Concession, Concession
Concession, Oh yeah!

Givin’ up your freedom and pay
Just to live another day

[First Verse]
Workin’ at the Concession Stand
Right around the block

The pay bad, the boss is lame,
And the costumers can **** a ***

Workin’ here for many years,
Tryin’ to escape

Guess I’m doomed, guess it’s life,
Guess this is my fate!

[Pre-Chorus 1]
I’m goin’ insane
That’s for sure!

Might as well wipe the
Blood off the floor…

[Chorus]
Concession!

Concession, Concession
Concession, Oh yeah!

Givin’ up your freedom and pay
Just to live another day

Post Re: Poetry Corner
A blank piece of paper

A blank piece of paper ontop of the table
The paper that works like a mirror
I draw myself silly and full with glee
But sadly the paper turns it to dismay

A blank piece of paper ontop of the table
A piece of paper I wished I never found
I bury my face in my arms
A fake smile will never work

But soon enough a sound is heard
From the paper right next to me
Ignoring it, I lie with my head in arms
But after a while, the sound stops

I feel a pat on the shoulder and a kiss on the cheek
I look up but no-ones there
I look at the paper and it instantly makes me smile
"I love you sweetie, please cheer up! -Sethy" is what it reads

I stand up and walk away, with joy and spring in my steps
And on the paper the Tig is smiling with gleeming teeth.
A blank piece of paper that works like a mirror
You better be careful with blank pages like this.

Pain.

Darkness,
look away.

I can’t stand you,
so, leave me alone.
There’s nothing I can do.

Just hide away by myself.
Don’t bother lending me pity.
In truth, neither of us really care.
So leave me to my pain, as I leave you.

Face it, there’s nothing you can do for me now.
The fact remains that this is my fault, as we know,
So stop blaming yourself, and blame the real killer.
Now, Stop implying the worst, and instead become the worst.
Look away from the darkness, shadows and blindness. Look to light.

...what light?

----------------------------------

Yeah, I still enjoy writing about sad things much more then writing about good things. Not sure why.

What do the others think of me
How many people care
If ever I will cross their mind
If ever they're aware

What do the others think of me
When I am not around?
Do they think I'm the enemy
Or that I'll be renowned?

What do the others think of me
When I'm at work or play?
Do they prefer to let me be
Or that I go away?

What do the others think of me
And all the things I've said?
How many have I made angry
What should I've done instead?

What do the others think of me
On their side of the line?
How many would show sympathy
If something goes benign?

Should I think about it constantly
Or will I lose all my sanity?

My sister's name Jenna,
She has 18 teeth,
She always wore a necklace with her,
Hey, look, it's starting to rain.
My sister was born in Canada,
and I was born right here.
One day I tried to convince her to stop forging signatures,
and she told me only as I slept.
She tells me that my personality should be like snow boots,
But I don't think she knows I lost my emotion in the refrigerator.

Dear reader of this poem,
On an important note I must give you a warning.
Not that it will happen as you read this...
Though it is best to be prepared.
Look, just listen to me,
On this poem is a really important message. You might think
"Oh Man, this is stupid", but
Keep reading on.
Before you know it, it could happen.
Early warnings like this don't come along all the time.
Heck, they most likely don't at all. No need to thank me,
I don't think you know me at all.
Now, back to the message.
Don't be impatient, the message is coming.
You'll get it soon enough,
Only to find out the
Urgent message is in the beginning of each line.

Tell me what you think of that poem? I'm honestly proud of that one, lol. I came up with it today, a friend showed me this poem, and I told him I could do a better one, this is what came out. Lol, he said it was creepy.

Not sure if this counts as poetry, but...

~

A Mathematical Proof

∑ p^(√(2(4-3U))+√2-1) is a convergent series. Find the domain of U.
p=0

The above is a P series. P series are convergent when in the equation in the form 1/p^n, n>1.
The expression can be rewritten as:

∑ 1/p^(-(√(2(4-3U))+√2-1))
p=0

Therefore:

(-(√(2(4-3U))-√2-1)) = 1+√2-√(2(4-3U)) > 1

√2-√(2(4-3U)) > 0

-√(2(4-3U)) < -√2

2(4-3U) < 2

2 > 2(4-3U)

2 > -6U+4

-2 > -6U

2 < 6U

1/3 < U

1 <3 U

~

Wrote this up for a friend. Anybody wanna check the math (heheh, yeah right) before I show this to her?

Color, by Brian McNatt

Dawn opens up in a storm of color
As I watch from my thrown-open window.
Waves of Amber crash against fading night,
Clearing the way for Gold of a thousand
Hues while I stand still, a silent witness.

Helios’s Orb climbs the horizon,
Bathing the vista in its radiance.
Light cuts through the air like crystal, solid,
A force I feel against my skin and Heart.
Against this Light, this warmth, who can resist?

Later, walking across the college court,
Emerald grass springing beneath my feet,
I look and smile at the bubbling fountain.
The Light shines through the gushing streams, flashing
Through into stunning Blues. A lov’ly sight.

Time passes by as I live through my day.
Clouds creep in, leeching the warmth from the air,
Lightning cracks, Thunder roars! Bolts of light stab
Through the sky, angry white against cloud grey.
Sheets of rain fall, as I run for cover.

Night falls silently, a curtain of dark.
I stand by my window and wait for dawn.

Untitled 3/16/11

My grandmother is worried;
I don't let her into my room, but she still
slips tortillas filled with peanut butter
and honey under my door. She asks
when (if) I'm going to come out and I say
I don't know.

Outside, I tell her, is a scary, scary place
for people like me. The world conspires
against us, everyone playing the same things--
the same perpetual things!

Last week, I used the bathroom. I showered
and brushed my teeth and filled my water bottles
so I wouldn't need to go back again too soon. Who
needs a toilet when you have plastic bags? Who wants
a bathroom when you can stay in a safe place?

Perhaps this is decay;
I'm aware of the stains on my floor
and the smell of my unwashed self. This increasingly animal
state is still better, however, than stepping out,
mingling with the enemy, and overhearing those words --oh, dreadful words!--

"I just lost the game."

Post Fire and Ashes
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5606816

I wrote this song. First thought of it when I was returning from the trip to the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

<chorus>Fire and ashes
Bridges and flames
Memories fading
Burying pains
The black and the white
And all of the gray
As each passing second
Turns to decay</chorus>

All of your thoughts
And all of your dreams
Hoping for fortune
Hard as it seems
Time keeps on ticking
What should one do
Taking the first step
Hope you pull through

<chorus>

People may think
It seems kind of strange
With all the risks
And visions for change
Should one move forward
Or just give in
Choosing the fail
Or fighting to win?

<chorus>

Trial and error
Sometimes we fail
Forks in the road
And turns in the trail
If you have fallen
No need for same
Pick yourself back up
And try again

<chorus>

As you keep climbing
Into success
Not what it seems
It's sometimes a mess
What really matters
Nevertheless
From your achievements
You tried your best

<chorus>

And as your story
Comes to an end
All of the memories
Which you attend
As your life fades
And it fizzles out
What you leave behind
Is what it's about

<chorus>

Post Not Good Enough (For You) - Clean
I remember my mistake
That I wish I didn’t make
Oh what am I going to do
I should make it up to you
I want you just to hear me out
Apologies that you’ve shutout
I wish that we could just move on
But I know that you want me gone

<chorus>I said I was sorry
For What I’ve done
I wish I could go back
Instead of run
You filled me with regret
The moment that we met
I never will forget and yet
That’s not good enough for you.</chorus>

And I know you realize
You’re the person I despise
And it makes me sick and tired
How you boast what you've acquired
You wait for me to cry in shame
So that I’ll be the one to blame
The anger that I’ve built inside
But now I’ve nothing left to hide.

<Chorus>

And just so that we are clear
I’m not going to disapper
Saw you laughing when I fail
Now I’m catching on your tail
What makes you think you are so great
I’ll take my time and set things straight
You wanted shambles, shame and tears
You never thought that I’d switch gears

<Chorus>

I can see right through your eyes
And I know it’s all been lies
But from all that you have burned
In the end you made me learn
I wish that you would just forgive
But I have a life left to live
I’ll find a way to fill the holes
I won’t let this consume my soul.

<Chorus>

Here lies a man discarded,
A scarecrow now hoisted high.
Tattered, forlorne and broken hearted,
Before the uncareing walking by.

Tearfully he looks upon them,
This sad and broken soul.
For they watch with silent pity,
As his dieing, broken heart grows cold.

They now look upon him crying,
This sadest of sights to see.
A gallent soul slowly dieing,
A sorrowed monument to Misery.

I feel love emanating
But In reality, just hatred
I want to try and keep recieving
That of which I cannot be sated.

I wish and try but to no avail
I try and hope but seem to fail.

I ask the lord to come help me
But the answers are all of self pity.

Not once have I tried and looked away
From the hopeful ambitions I wish for someday.

But one time I just hope to achieve
That of which praise will make me recieve.

In the end I come to see
That my wishes shall never come to be.

I pity those who get in my way
For in the end, they will pay.

Post Re: Poetry Corner
here are a couple poems I wrote for my final project in English. They tell the story of "The Picture of Dorian Grey" and compare various aspects of it to aspects of "Jane Eyre", "The Awakening", and "Hamlet". they're full of spoilers. here they are:

Dorian

Dorian Gray, an innocent youth,
Corrupted be Lord Henry Wotton’s false truth,
That aging is something that we should avoid,
So his un-aging portrait made him quite annoyed,
So he made a dark deal and his soul he sold,
So that he’d remain young while the portrait grew old.
This moment escaped him when he fell in love,
With a lovely young actress, an innocent dove.
But her love for him caused her talent to fade,
This loss of her talent cut him like a blade.
He broke her young heart and she soon after died,
When she took her own life by way of cyanide.
The denial of her love drove her to the brink,
Like Robert drove Edna to die in the drink,
And when Hamlet’s feined madness drove Ophelia mad,
When mixed with her lover’s murder of her dad.
When Dorian returned to his residence place,
He noticed a change in the portrait’s face.
The deal that he made returned to his mind,
A hiding place for it he would have to find.
He locked it away at the top of his house,
Like Rochester hid his lunatic spouse.
Eighteen years pass, his face is still young,
But rumors about him, from others, have sprung.
All those who become Dorian’s friend,
Either sink to corruption or their lives soon end.
Basil returns one night so dispel
All the rumors he’s heard so his worry he’d quell.
The events that transpired eventually led
to Dorian sharing the source of his dread.
Basil was shocked at the sight that was there
And he sank into a feeling of worried despair.
Soon Dorian began to blame Basil for this,
He painted the portrait, the fault was all his.
In a furious fit of misguided rage,
he ended Basil’s scene on the world’s great stage ,
Like when Hamlet stabbed behind the curtain,
Though the spy’s identity, it was uncertain.
He thought he killed the murderous king,
But it Polonius felt his blade’s cold sting.
The two unfair ends brought to innocent life,
Respectively with a sword and a knife.
This is the low point in Dorian’s tale,
It leads him to other crimes, including blackmail.
Eventually, Sybil’s brother returns,
And to avenging her death, his focus now turns.
His hunt for revenge leads him right to his death,
Like Laertes’ revenge also caused his last breath.
They both loved their sisters and died in their quest
Of the men they once loved so their souls could rest.
Dorian’s conscience soon returned to his mind,
So he decided to turn to a life much more kind,
But while the portrait remained his soul held its taint,
So he went up and plunged a knife into its paint.
He thought this would free him from his sinful chains,
Now where Dorian was, an old man’s corpse remains.
_____________________________________________________________
Basil

Basil Hallward, an artist confused.
He developed deep feelings for his artistic muse,
A beautiful man known as Dorian Gray,
But society told him it’s wrong to be gay.
These feelings of his, he tried to conceal,
But it’s nearly impossible to deny what you feel
.
Despite Dorian’s sins, his love wouldn’t yield,
Like Jane Eyre’s love for Rochester after leaving Thornfield.
Although he was married, her love never ceased.
In fact it may well have slightly increased.

And like Robert Lebrun loved Mrs. Pontellier,
But denied this love and went far away.
He wouldn’t subject her to society’s scorn
By giving her husband a new cuckold’s horn.

Eighteen years pass and his love hasn’t waned
So he finds all the rumors to be quite insane.
He visits the man to hear his point of view,
little did he know that the rumors were true.

Now Basil, to Dorian, his true love, reveals,
All of the strong loving feelings he feels.
His secret love, now it is known,
But Basil’s revelation remains not alone.
Dorian shows him the portrait upstairs,
The sad, twisted image which belongs in nightmares.
Basil is shocked, and hopes it’s a lie.
He begs Dorian to change his ways, at least try.
A sudden sharp pain in the back of his head,
Now Basil Hallward, the artist, is dead.

Blank

Blank as a slate
Blank as the dark
Empty inside

Empty of thought
Empty of feeling
Empty of light

Moving me forward
Moving my feet
Masking the suffering
Masking my life

Wear the facade
Show not my heart

Let it become
Reality now
Let it become
My shelter from pain

Hide me inside
Hide me from all

Let no one in
They don't understand

They sting and they jab
With helpful attempts
That fail to bring light
That bring only hopelessness
Bring only fear

Fear of my future
Fear of my past
Fear that I cannot
Fear that I must

What is the question
The one I must ask
The one with the answer
To break through the dark

Yeah, why not, I'll throw in my two cents here.
Here's a short one I wrote recently:

Dear, my lovely,
Where have you gone to?
Are you high in the clouds,
And miles away?

Have you left for your country,
Where I can not find you.
A face in the crowds,
Of the old USA.

Please speak, my dear,
And your voice, it will carry,
Through the storms on the ocean,
And land at my door.

If far, or near,
I hope you are merry,
And hold, but the notion,
That we'll meet one day more.

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6039972/

When staring at your pretty face
You set my world ablaze
The emptiness inside my soul
It shrinks the more I gaze

You brighten up the universe
With every word you speak
The knowledge that you have to share
It warms my inner geek

My whole world stands upon your legs
You're everything I need
I want you to be in your life
This is all that I plead

Inside you are so warm and soft
As much as with your fur
Whenever that you speak my name
It makes me want to murr

I see your portrait through the screen
It fills my heart with bliss
I've fallen for the girl inside
And yet you don't exist

Post Re: Poetry Corner
Hey guys of poetry. =D

here's something i wrote, it was going to be apart of a fic that i was going to be writing. This is from Peanuts prospective to Grape...and yes...she was meant to pass away in it....erm...still working on that.... :|

I remember the nights when I couldn’t sleep, and how I would lie motionless in my bed, listening to the low thrum of the voices whispering from the television set until I had the energy to get up. I’d always find you lying on the couch, a blanket covering your beautiful form. You’d spot me after a few seconds, lift the blanket up and invite me in without a word.

I remember pressing my ear to your chest, searching for the soft drum beat of your heart. It was the only thing that brought me solace on those sleepless nights.
I remember how warm you felt against the cold vinyl skin of the couch, and how it made me sweat and shiver at the same time.

I remember how I would turn away from the TV to burrow my head against your arm, attempting to block the pulsing lights the television emitted; yet there was always a dull glow behind my eyelids.

I remember breathing in deeply and being surrounded by nothing but your smell: fresh linen, sweet cherry, faded perfume, light traces of toothpaste...

I remember how you would talk into my short brown hair, telling me about the places you and and mum had gone and the, embarrassing things you said to make her laugh.

I remember staring at that same couch for hours after you had passed.

I remember the emptiness I felt. The emptiness that I still feel.

I can still feel your soul dancing across the veins of the vinyl when I dare myself to lie there without you.

I can still smell the light traces of toothpaste.

I can still hear your heartbeat through the thick sponge of the armrest.

I wont tell Maxwell i wont tell anyone.

I still have the others here with me, maybe someday i will see you again.

dunno if this is considered poetry. But hey...i like it

it counts as free verse poetry.

also,

I can tell that Kizer would enjoy that fic, what with the sadness and all.

Thanks random genius, I wrote that listening to this song : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9YrUqqSmaY

I found this song while i was trolling Youtube for sad music( s-stop judging me it helps me write the mood  ) Then i found that. I freaking man cried for a while. I absolutely love Maurice Sendak, And i am amazed that i did not know they made a movie of the book...i am facepalming so hard right now. This is a sad song... i wish i didn't read the poem and listen to this at the same time. i am going to go and curl up in the corner now. :(

Post Reminiscence - Tales Regarding Dreams (PG-13)
EDIT: Due to a slight mistake on my part, this poem has been moved to the proper location here in the Poetry Corner, as opposed to a thread of mine in Fan Projects.

Here is my first contribution: A sonnet I've just hurriedly made for my freshman - high school freshman, in case you're wondering - writing class. It's supposed to be in iambic pentameter, but I doubt I pulled off the technicalities or Shakespearian style of it.

This is a rather personal poem, so apologies in advance if it's a bit confusing; This is entirely my tired psyche speaking.

Reflection

A mind reflects on warmth enjoining pain
As memories begin to tell their tale.
Fall had begun, attempting to sustain
The carefree happiness before the gale.
Rain then dripped from…
an interested gaze,
and festered; condensed inside fitful dreams.
Life became an unfathomable maze
Of life along death, and hope that blasphemes.
Winter chilled autumn and scared it away;
With it, the rain from the
curious stare.
Life went on, in apex of the sun’s way,
Yet broken, sullen, and in disrepair.
The spring and summer passed by with a blur,
And autumn began the cycle anew.

they're pushing the walls in on me
and they don't even know
they see through me
I'm a non-entity
living out death
empty shell
cruel reminder to myself of what I once was
the joy has left me
summer is over forever
the vitality unreplaced
a void at the center of me
swallowing anything that dares to try and fill it
so I live out the ruse
forever the hollow man
praying for death or life
don't care which
something to fill me
or destroy my shell

When we Two Parted | Lord Byron

This is My Favorite Poem!!!

---------------------------------------

When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this.

The dew of the morning
Sunk chill on my brow--
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame;
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o'er me--
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee too well--
Long, long shall I rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met--
In silence I grieve,
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?--
With silence and tears.

Post Epitaph of the Savannah Skate Inn
View in FA
View on DA

Here lies the old Savannah Rink
And all the fun inside
Along with all the skates in which
The people wore to slide

Where people from the 80s and
The 90s went to hang
And DJs played the melodies
From records which they sang

The lights atop the ceiling and
The diamonds on the wall
The darkness and the strobes that flashed
And shiny disco ball

The smooth white shiny plastic floor
From which it all was based
The two taped-on black plastic lines
From which the skaters raced

The hokie-pokie where you put
Your whole self in and out
The youthful feeling in the place
Was all it was about

There truly was no better place
Where one could find to skate
The city will not be the same
The loss is much too great

The vanity and selfishness
That I had built upon
The ignorance that I had built
Is all but dead and gone

You took away my self-esteem
And burned it all to ash
Then grabbed the coals that had remained
And threw them in the trash

You think you have the best of me
That you are going to win
But this is just another start
To which I can begin

And when I finish with my plan
I will be standing tall
For in the end my little friend
My pride will be your fall

AHA! Knew there had to be one of these on this site somewhere :P

Watchman
by ~OnikisuWasuremono

I have stood over you,
With a protection so sure,
As long as my vision holds,
little harm befalls you,
What happens when the shield falls,
A veil is raised or a shadow is cast,
If the vision still reaches the shield remains,
I want to drop the shield.
Hide me from my,
Watchman

Once
by ~OnikisuWasuremono

I cried Once,
when the images were clear.
I laughed Once,
for sharing the joy.
I spoke Once,
when I knew I'd be heard.
I yelled Once,
when my words went ignored.
I felt Once,
the grains of happiness rolled through my hands.
It ended,
all at Once.

----

Others later. Just giving 2 of my faves. For the record. I am OnikisuWasuremono on dA :P

You made me think about my words
And all the things I've said
You took the pride that was inside
And filled me up with dread

You put me in a corner filled
With sorrow and with shame
Where I had come to realize
I have no one to blame

Yet still I feel there's something left
And I should carry on
That there is more I can become
Than just another pawn

You think you have the best of me
That you are going to win
But this is just another start
To which I can begin

The days of shame are over and
It's time for me to stand
And make my life a challenge so
It will be something grand

And when I finish with my plan
I will be standing tall
For in the end my little friend
My pride will be your fall

Spring Rolls

Fatty, and they kinda roll
Spring but they don't spring
It's hard to not just eat them whole
How is this a thing

They weirdly taste somewhat like fish
Crispy out and mushy inside,
Obviously they're not my kind of dish
Not sure why I even tried

Then again in China Place
They kinda do taste nice
But I'm not there, that's not the case
I've also got no rice.

To surf a wave you've gotta be brave
I doubt if I could do it
I reckon instead I'd fall on my head
And go not over the wave but through it

And I would too!

I've been asked to write a limerick
A crazy, rhyming gimmick
I thought "Fair enough
That won't be too tough."
But I just cannot figure out how to get this last line to work!

Finally,

Dogs bark, dogs howl
Dogs woof and growl
But depsite their noise
'Cause of their charm and their poise
I'd rather a dog than a fowl

2nd posting for this poem in honour of a certain guy...

I had a silly poem five minutes. I hope Karishad doesn't mind...

I only look cool,
I always look rad
I gotta play the fool
'cause I'm Karishad!

Can't find no tux;
gotta get one fast
but I'm outta lux,
the last one is past

Gotta think quick,
take it to the pad.
Gonna be slick,
'cause I'm Karishad!

Got a tin of paint
and daub it on
I'm gonna look quaint
It's brain over brawn!

My brain is fast
my humor is no fad,
my way is gonna last
'CAUSE I'M KARISHAD

Dealing with today's strip (5 June)

To the devastation of a nation
Jasper blasted the estate to matchsticks
in his current hunt to kill Jinx the mouse.
We all now regret his dedication
and his zeal. He destroyed his house
and plastered everyone's ashes onto walls
a lifetime caught in flash fires' silhouette
and haunting the deserving Jasper down
into a world of shock, fear and regret,
He's killed his friends, his family and town.
But, if there is one thing you can still bet
They'll return and he won't get that mouse yet!

The Blogger

The silent cries of many are heard on his site
Cries of pain
Cries of sadness
of torture
of madness
The viewers of his gallery
vanish from reality
Appearing in his photos
as empty husks(or fatalities?)
He first sends you an e-mail, all innocent like
telling you he likes your blog
calling it a "breathtaking sight"
He then adds, "check out my page. You'll love it
It's better than sites like Tumblr or Reddit."
But whatever you do, DON'T click that link
or you'll fall into the trap of that deadly, deadly fink
If you open his site, you'll be met with a disturbing sight
of faces filled with pain and anguish
Even if you close the page, it'll be too late
For he'll know where you live
and, quite frankly, you've agreed to an unwanted date
He'll follow you and stalk you
and you won't even know it
'cause he's only seen in photos
(the flash will show him)
Eventually, he'll get so close it's scary
then he'll rip out your soul
(more painfully if your name is Carrie)
So you see, he's a dangerous creature
His smiling mask being his most disturbing feature
Though if you smash his laptop into nothing but a wreck,
that'll be enough to send him to firey, burning Heck
Other than that, don't click the link
The link to the site of the Blogger
==========================
I'd like some feedback(especially from Rick)

Post Re: Poetry Corner
I found some of my earlier poems around my files today.

The first was written for Remembrance Sunday 2011

WAR GRAVES

Some say the noble ways of war
write the history of our people.
All fighters seen to have gone before
now lie in shadow; under dark steeple.

No warriors born, yet warriors slain.
Assailants and protectors shall fall.
Fighters playing the pawns in kings' game
gain little, bar earth near the church wall.

Those lost we worship; those loved we mourn.
the guilty we blame; the hated we punish.
The mystery of love we still have to learn.
To forgive those from the enemies’ parish.

Our ways must end and our people must change.
The enemy of all is true hate itself.
Our peaceful ways we must arrange
for man to stand and forgive himself.
Past deeds are history; the road ahead new.
Be it circle or straight; the choice is for you.

THIS second one was one I wrote a 4 line version of in my stories but expanded into a full sonnet later (some help was given by my then tutor, Goff Morgan) I wrote it prior to the London Riots

SONNET OF VIOLENCE

Hate swarms on; deep red in the hostile heart.
Fear, like blood, thunders inside the ears
When shown, they believe, a brand new threat start;
from calm veneer, the savage man appears

Streets red-misted on a blood filled night;
persuasive men all fail with their calm speech.
Images from which gods should shield their sight.
The fear of violence is logics’ leech

It is merely in the cold, sunny, dawn
when truth is revealed to their shocked eyes
that families, that mothers, can mourn
as their loved one upon the cold street dies.
The price of peace dictates the price of love.
Forgetfulness does risk all the above.

THIS final one is somewhat lighter...

MORNING COLOURS

In the dark shadow of the morning sun
travails of the black can safely hide.
Secrets lurk deep in the hollow night;
waiting for light to eventually rise.
The red shines, the dark to light,
as night recedes on new dawns tide

The world awakes to loose strewn rubbish
run free across the towns’ grey floor.
Down the town, in the cold shop front
the stray dogs stir, sniffling for food.
In the bins of clubs they all shall hunt;
around the side, at the green club door.

The coffee brews in the morning, sharp
and hot on the new woken tongue.
Gold buttered toast and red jam is spread
and cold milk added to sweeten the brew
The paper delivered, opened and read.
Blue sky sneaks in, the day has begun
