pretty sure that's circular logic. or atleast circular logic-ish.

Also, how the spork does a TROPICAL ARCHIPELAGO suffer a WATTER SHORTAGE?! rain is super common in that sort of geography, and it's ideal for building desalinization plants! THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN!

Maybe there was so much rain that the reservoirs become contaminated with sea water?

how the heck would that work? It takes phenomena the strength of a hurricane or tsunami to significantly effect sea levels, and rainwater isn't sea water. Even if one of those did happen, the issue would be about that disaster, not a water shortage.

ok, maybe it's not the rain, maybe it's the shoddy reservoirs. Maybe it's locals letting out the water to go 'surfing'. Maybe it's just *brick'd*.

"marketing departments of corporate giants compete to sponsor little league teams"
WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!!!!???!?!?!????!?!?
No issue had anything to do with that!!
These issues are starting to annoy me because I am given an important issue with 3 possible choices, each choice worse than the last.

Hehe, could be the ground is over saturated, and all rain is just become runoff, while the population can't just get water since it's all below ground? Best thing I can come up with for you... Unless you want to start making trade agreements, hehe...

I save the environment, increase spending on mental health support, trimmed off useless money wasting politicians and overnight I became a Corrupt Dictator......I love this game.
Wait so how did lowering taxes also lower the average income?

Note that in this game environment tends to have an inverse effect on the economy and vice versa. Improving the environment probably hurt the economy. Likewise, cutting down on 'useless money wasting politicians' probably tanked your political freedom score enough to cross into the 'dictatorship' line.

Pretty much every option you choose in this game will have some sort of backlash, sometimes ones that you didn't expect. Others are more... transparently obvious, but they're not really good with 'reasonable' choices.

Good point CosmicCoyote, each choice can have unpredictable effects like how children can now cut up money in arts and crafts....for some reason.

how did this happen? Last I remember I was improving the postal service, not making it worse...

You act like it's not a thing that's actually happened.

A lot of events are drawn from off-kilter 'actual' events, then thrown to the edges of their wildest possibilities.

This is very vague. I don't know at what stage of development the embryo is cloned, the processes or the ethics.
All I know is that this is similiar to the real life event where they cloned a sheep.

Hey, guys! Just to say it here for anyone who asks later (yes, I know you know who I am). I am the Dominion of Kezara, and we are currently Liberal Democratic Socialists, with no crime and a bad economy.
IdleCurator wrote:Also I took away peoples alcohol to improve public health and safety. They didn't take it very well.
Yeah... That doesn't tend to work too well, as crime goes up. Example is 1920s America during Prohibition of alcohol when an amendment to the constitution was passed making the sale/distribution/consumption of alcohol illegal. Then the crime rate skyrocketed, and big Gangsters like Al Capone got rich off of money selling illegal alcohol.
Feel free to call me Czu for short. The games on this forum are pretty neat.

Here's another illogical decision that nationstates has made.

Now a while ago, my citizens voted for the death penalty. This has not been repealed yet. So, the game in it's infinate wisdom has decided that the following is somehow going on...
convicted murderers are free to walk the streets provided they attend rehabilitation classes
Now, is it me or does my nation imprison ghosts in addition to the death penalty?
My tree now has a café in it. Yay?

Maybe cause with the problem you said earlier about there being no crime, there are no murderers. So it does really matter what murderers can do because there are no murderers to begin with. Same problem that Buster had said, circular logic. They either have the death penitently to deter a non-existent criminal population, and a rehabilitation to quiet any people who don't like that such a thing is in place...

And hey, it gives the people jobs, hehe... Easy jobs.

Or it could be that murderers attend rehabilitation until their death sentence date.

You see there is a logical reason for this, they don't want criminals clogging up the after life. (which afterlife you can chose)
NationStates wrote:Police spend their Saturday nights breaking up illegal street races, crowds of flag-burning protesters tend to accidentally become crowds of burning protesters, travel bureaus double as recruiting centers for national intelligence agencies, and retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites.
There is something so amazingly satisfying with this.

It is amazing.
Try to make decisions as much as possible, the less you dismiss the more enjoyable the game is.
Also constantly check your nation overview. It can be hilarious some times.

Don't listen to him, and be friend, sheesh, we want more to have fun with us on NS don't we...
Anyways, yes you can make a new nation (Called a puppet, or making it your main and the other is your puppet nation.), but you can't rename a nation... And you can't have two in the WA at the same time either. That's it.

Crime is proportional to economy?

because in my poor NAT 1344 has no crime but in Tiny Russia is a problem :P

I read my desc and its seems that T.R. is too much capitalist.

Also, Gryphons are the national animals on my two nations (Cube Gryphon and Diamond Gryphon on NAT 1344 and Tiny Russia respectively)
