It can be to any university we want, and the topic depends on said university.

Well, you can say, "I shall be involved in many social activities in the school, as I have previously done in high school..."

Try the University of Chicago. They always have the most interesting application topics. I had to do the same thing, And I have to say that the University of Chicago had the best by far.

While visiting Chicago a couple years back, they told us one of their previous essay topics was what you would do with a humongous jar of mustard.

Re: Homework Thread
I would say MIT...but depending upon how good you are in school, you might want to narrow your options...New York University, maybe?

Re: Homework Thread
If I may make a suggestion, don't start your college education at a prestigious University.
The first 2 years of college education can be seen as basics, so you don't need a professor to teach it to you.
Community colleges are much, MUCH cheaper and you will still learn what you need to know.
Your credits will then be transferable to a University so you can continue your studies in aim of a higher degree.
I know you aren't deciding yet, but it helps to have it on mind.

Re: Homework Thread
Huh...Invent a story up. Make up an amusing story that sets you apart from everyone else, because they pretty much want to see your level of writing (well, at least most universities). So, you don't have to be honest. Just be pseudo-you.

Community colleges are much cheaper, by far. But not all credits from a community college will transfer to all 4-year universities (most will, but not all), so it's always a good idea to check.Esquire Fox wrote:If I may make a suggestion, don't start your college education at a prestigious University.

Re: Homework Thread
Beagle speaks the truth. If you choose to attend a community college before going to university, it may be necessary to confirm that your class credits are transferable. Otherwise, you may have to retake a class or do a remedial version.

It's not about career goals, they want to know about you and what you could gain from attending their classes.

Include a couple twenties with your essay. Some teachers will find that very persuasive. The Game wrote:I have to write a persuasive essay on how La Salle is either a bad guy, or a hero. I have a feeling I'm going to pull my hair out tonight....
