It's the emphasis that's different.
See, I always thought it was "Tare-ot", not "Ter-oh". That's what throws me off.

You ever notice how holy symbols are nowadays only used in the media to ward off supernatural entities that no one in real life believes in anymore?

Wow, Grape. Just...wow. ( "Don't say die!" This is a PG-rated comic!)

I wonder where this is going....

You'd be surprised how many people believe in ghosts.

Anyway, I love the lighting on this! And it came out just in time. I was just about to go to bed. Now I'm interested in seeing what everyone has planned.

I was exaggerating. :P Point is, a lot more people USED to believe in them, and in the efficacy of holy symbols to deter them, than do nowadays.

Me too! :D

Wow, poor Zach. It's easy for Max and Grape, they know the house is clean, and Marvin isn't nearly as scared as Zach. So yeah... He'll have a hard time.

just a thought that popped into mind...

If Marvin took Maxie's words in panel 3 to the letter, then Zach could simply leave quietly the house, and wait with all the calm in the world for someone else to come out of the house screaming...
Ok, so I felt like crackpotting again... 8-)

EDIT - NO, forgot the dialogue in panel 1. Opsie!

I never thought about it, but i wonder how hard it is to scare Marvin? I bet Tiger practically made Marvin immune to fear. Now the big question i find is Sabrina waiting to scare someone as well?

And i just have to do: If both teams have their own rooms, that means Max and Grape are alone as well in a room. A Dating couple in a room in a haunted house... D:

I just noticed Zach isn't wearing all his gear, and it's nowhere to be seen.

THIS CONTINUITY ERROR IS A CRUEL ATTACK ON THE FANBASE AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

Honestly, Zach is starting to remind me of Buster Baxter from the Arthur cartoon series--a character I do not like.

(But then, that's a cartoon series I do not like....)

The shadings and the lights are just wonderful in this strip. But most of all, I really like Zach's expressions :)

And I can't wait to see the scaring attempts!

I don't really think that zach isn't bright. I think he's just socially inept in some ways. He has had very little contact with the other pets and I'm sure that his devotees from the forest probably play by a different set of rules. Besides, Zach has to be what, like 2 maybe 3 years old? He hasn't had the chance to develop the social graces necessary to act "normal". He probably learned most of what he knows from television, the movies, and Marvin, since tiger is dealing with his own disorders. He is just too naive to "get" such obvious traps.

But hey, that's just my opinion on the matter.

While I wouldn't say that Zach is completely socially inept (if my assumption is correct, he spent some time with other animals in a domestic setting before given to Jerry), he's definitely not as able as other pets. :P

Yeah he'll be the last to leave solely because he got lost in the house and couldn't find an exit.

 the Bigglesworths suck at this they just don't care. And Zach is so easily scared also it would be funny if Zach is the last to leave simply because he was passed out the whole time and they forgot him. You know the Bigglesworths do look neat colored all white like that.
