Nope! I am not afraid of the dark, or most things for that matter.

Let me tell you about Homestuck.

Just what could be in the darkness, I guess. Not being able to see can be quite disturbing.

It's easier for me to sneak up on Housepets! forum members in their own homes when it's dark, so I prefer the dark.

The Dark is nice. It's warm and cozy, and you feel like you're relying on other instincts in order to survive. By the way, it has nothing to do with the dark side.

Quoted for truth!Beagle wrote:"Fear not the darkness, merely what it hides."
As far as darkness itself, as opposed to what it hides, it doesn't scare me really. Actually just the opposite--in the light I feel exposed, overwhelmed.... But in the dark I feel hidden and safe. I suppose there's a reason for that....

I, well lets just say I don't like the darkness <.< (I'm quite scared of the dark yes)
But, I do get some kind of thrill of being in the dark anyways.
I keep thinking that if something is going to come and eat me, I go like this: "BRING IT OOOON ILL MESS YOU UP BIGTIME!"
uhm.. ya

What kind of cat is afraid of the dark?!
I'm more a night person usually, but living in the city for 2/3 the year has gotten my enjoying daytime more, since I'm limited in where I can go in the dark now.

im not perticularly afraid of the dark, but at my old house, well it wasn't my house, i mean... i lived there, but not all the time, ya know what? instead of explaining, ill do this.
when i lived here (huh, thought there was more info on that cite), all the rooms were really creepy, and it was haunted, and it was always really dark, and there was always sounds of unknown origin, so yeah, if you didn't have a roommate, the nights could get really scary.

Where do you go to hide from darkness? You can't escape sleep.

yeah, this went from being a pretty silly question to people yelling about fictional characters in a horror game and whether or not a house was haunted

I can say that I am neither afraid of the dark nor the things that may reside in it.
Doesn't mean that I'm not afraid to take a walk alone at night.

I'm not really that afraid of the dark.
I am after reading a creepypasta, or watching some kind of scary movie. But usually I'm not.

Re: afraid of the dark? or the things in it?
I concur. God, this is like my my 3rd post that has said just that. I do enjoy the dark. A lot of the time in my house I walk with my eyes closed, to get a feel for it and one time I realised that if I couldn't see anything then it would be no different. It was funny once, because a room-mate was with me and was trying to scare me (long story) out of revenge but I could hear him.Dubiousity wrote:I love the dark.

Re: afraid of the dark? or the things in it?
I prefer the light to darkness because the dark fells cold and lonely to me, on the rare occasions when I am by myself at home at night I turn on all the lights so I don't feel lonely. I am not afraid of the dark though.

Some days the dark scares me and other times I like the dark. It depends on what I see or think of during the day.

I would be fine with darkness if I didn't stub my toe on the kitchen table EVERY FREAKING MORNING. I swear someone moves it over an inch every day jst so I keep hitting it TT___TT

He's on to me!
I find my way around my house/apartment in the dark by echolocation. I mean by remembering where everything is.

Why not just switch the light on?
Added: I keep a light on during the night even though the light pollution of the city keeps my apartment lit up.
