Re: Art Thread
This image makes me wonder if the drawing is going to be of someone drawing another drawing, which may be of somebody else drawing a drawing of someone else drawing.
And then my mind asploded.

I might have another couple avatars by the end of the night, otherwise I would have to upload something old and or computer generated. But I will consider the... offer.Psykeout wrote:Pea, draw something! do it! do it!

Re: Art Thread
Before digitally coloring, it is best to digitally pen as well.
Aside from using a tablet, there is a pen tool for your convenience.
There are some great tutorials on using it at Deviantart, like this one.
All of this assuming you are using Adobe Photoshop of course.
Excellent drawing by the way.
Good proportions, but your unwillingness to draw hands is apparent, hehe.
Perhaps a hand-themed practice session is in order.
Great job regardless.

Re: Art Thread
I use Gimp. And how, for your reading pleasure;
My process:
1) Thumbnail - Give a very quick general sketch of what I want
2) Skeleton - On a larger paper, draw some nice stick figures to get the positions
3) Sketch - Beef up the leading lines and helper shapes. Make it look legit.
4) Ink - Get rid of all that excess crap I don't need.
5) Scan - Make it digital, baby~
6) Touch Up - Get the little things I missed
7) Color - Self explanatory.
But now that you mention it, I didn't show any hands. ><
That was actually un-intentional! I don't have a problem with hands.. I just didn't know how to position a group of characters all together. Not to mention I use myself as a model and always keep my hands closed. xD
I'll try to be more conscious of hand position! Let them digits shine~!
Thank you for the constructive criticism! I actually REALLY appreciate it! :3

About my journal entry above, I'll still draw sometimes, but I don't want to have several requests only to keep postponing them.

Re: Art Thread
Let's stay on topic and not mention every action I take, okay? Because the alternative is more work for me (and I'm pretty lazy). I'm not a sneaky, shadowy guy, I'll always leave the edit tag and PM the original poster to let them know what I did and why.

Would Lego's be considered art?
P.S. I didn't make this, but found it canon to something else...

Well it's based on a piece of art if I'm not mistaken and I'd say it's pretty creative!
