Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
Well, I found Housepets on TopWebComics. I was bored, so I was looking around for new web comics. The description of Housepets actually made me look at the comic below it first. (Coincidentally, it was Catena at that time...)
Somehow, I like Housepets but managed not to like Catena. I don't know why though.

Rick linked it on another forum. I humored him, things took off, and everything turned out well for everyone!

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I was board one day and was looking for a new Webcomic to read so I went on one of those Webcomic Ranking sites (I can't remember which one) and clicked around at random until I saw a premise I liked. This is how I started reading Ginger's Bread as well but not on the same day as Housepets! however.

A friend of mine told me about the comic during a chat.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I saw it on topwebcomics. When I first saw it I clicked on it, saw a picture of Peanut and grape, and thought it would be childish, so I went back to the list and found a different web comic to read. Somehow I kept coming back to Housepets! and its amusing tagline, so I decided to read a few archived chapters. Before I knew it I had read the whole of the archives and visited the forums. I was hooked. It took me another couple of months to actually register on the forums, though.

I found it on...here.
At first I was like, "No way! A furry webcomic that's PG AND interesting?"
Then I read the entire backlog of comics within three days and joined.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I saw a parody of one of the Housepets! comics on the forums of another webcomic--I liked the artwork so much and was so curious as to what the characters were actually saying that I looked up Housepets! And I'm glad I did!

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
I was at school with my friend while he was reading Housepets; he's an avid comic reader (way more than me). It looked interesting, but I thought I wouldn't get into it, since I'd have to start from the very beginning to understand what was going on. I didn't know how long the comic was. So I was browsing the VG Cats forum when I came across Sinder's signature. I didn't remember the name of the comic that my friend was reading, and I was at least willing to give a new comic a try. Upon clicking, I discovered it was the webcomic my friend was reading.
So, I start from the beginning after school, and before I know it, it's 9 p.m. and I'm a new fan wanting more. Now, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning I bother to wake up just to read Housepets. And I don't even like that many comics.

I've been watching Rick's art for a while. He intrigued me at first because his character wore a shirt but no pants at the time.

Well, it takes the same comic, just changes the words. It's the last comic in "It's a Wonderful Dog's Life", and it's on the "Slightly D***ed" forums.

I think I was trying to find new webcomics to read, so I have more reasons to procrastinate. But I don't know exactly how I found Housepets.
I found quite a few, but Housepets was my favorite.

I was hanging out with Zander and I noticed that he wouldn't get off the forums. Haha. I asked him what he was doing and he showed me the link and I started reading, and I liked it.

Interesting. There should be a "who knows who in real life" thread. Though maybe that's a bit personal.

Re: Where did you hear of Housepets!?
Um... Well, I've already mentioned this somewhere else, but...
Basically I had a ridiculous school project and I needed an image that symbolized my religion for it. So, I ended up googling "Atheist comic" because I figured that a humorous representation of my lack of religion would be easier to swallow (as opposed to a burning cross ) and on page 60 something I found the link to the third comic in the first pride lands arc. Weird, huh?
