Daryl and Miles show up to ruin everyone's fun. *laughs* Not entirely unexpected. This begs the question: are Lucretia and the pups at home, or on interior guard duty?

Figures that the wolves be on guard duty. guess that's how he gets paid then =P

but this also could mean how close to the Ferrets that Miles's family is now i would presume. almost like what i could consider a bodyguard of the president kind of thing

So the wolves are working for the ferrets. As guards. I bet that Lucreatia is guarding that other escape route, but we'll see :).

I wonder how large Miles's pack is. There could potentially be a dozen or more wolves around the premesis, assuming they all have the same "job," which I generally have been. If it's just Miles, Lucretia, Daryl, and the kids, then I guess my original question is still valid. (Where are Lucretia and the cubs?)

They are at home, obviously... Even though Lucretia is a wolf - she is a women and mother of three (or four?) cubs. So I have big doubts about her working as guard...

Being female and a mother does not disqualify one from being a guard (or police officer, for that matter).

In my view, if women isn't a feminist (it's the same like insane) she mustn't work on dangerous jobs. I'm not a shovinist, but in my view, men usually don't like their wifes to work on dangerous jobs, cause they want to protect their wifes. And on such kind of a job it's impossible. And there is no worst thing for a man, than helplessness.

Wolves *do* develope a very strong family bond when it comes to cubs. They are NEVER left alone. Usually some beta or even omega cares for the cubs when the mother is out foraging, but she'll stand by them as long as she can. She can even decide some of the pack's politics in order to ensure a sure den.

I never implied the cubs were left alone; I believe I stated that they might also be on guard duty, which would be valuable for learning how to track (among other things) as a cohesive group (or pack).

Let's not get into sexist generalizations, please. I find all such commentary offensive.

Hmm... And I even didn't thought about that. So, this seems to me plausible...
P.S. I have no idea where did you found sexism in my words, but it's ok and I'm not going to get into this.
So let's speak about something else, for example that seemes to me rather hard to distinguish Miles and Daryl just with color of their eyes, that was much easier when Daryl was wearing a cap.

It's not an issue of sexism whether or not Lucretia and her cubs are part of the security force, but one of common sense: They protect awfully rich clients, potencial targets for all sorts of (more competent and ruthless) criminals. What if for example some of them try to kidnap one of the ferrets? I don't want to think of the possible consequences an escalation could have.

Miles: "Hey, Starlaser97, about that assault the other night, your Mother's got shot. Oh, and guess what wacky hijinks Grape and Peanut stumbled into this time!"

By the way, do you know why I would be more afraid of human instead of wolven guards?

more like, since *these* wolves come straight from the wild, they are more likely to act like our feral counterparts. No sexism at all, if we were talking 'bout penguins, we'd be saying the males are left at home.

Thieves could be well-equipped optimists, so they would try to get out of the house as fast as possible, killing everybody on their way. I'm pretty sure that not all criminals in situation of force majeure first think and only then act.

That would be a very tactless and uncaring way of informing anyone of another's death. You are giving Miles too little credit as a father, I think.

Happily, this is an issue which never arises in the real world, since women clearly do not hold potentially dangerous jobs. I know I've never seen or heard of a female firefighter, paramedic, police officer, security guard, or member of the armed forces. Yes, women are safe in their jobs as hair stylists, supermodels, and homemakers and of course do these things with the permission of their husbands, whose first concern is to appear tough, because every woman gets married and homosexuality does not exist.

Okay, discussion about what jobs women can hold need to stop. Everyone can have their own differences of opinion, and their own reasons behind it, but it's quickly headed into flame territory. That talk stops now; any further discussion on it will receive a warning.

And someone was previously talking in the comments about the wolves spitting bees.

I guess a "sneaking around" plotline brings out the Metal Gear in everyone. Next I expect to see an "ALERT 99:99" show up in the comic itself.

I think an intermission is what we were all expecting at this point. Highly prudent.

Notice that Peanut wrote "Let's go out to the lobby..." instead of "Let's all go to the lobby..." Maybe he doesn't have a lot of experience with old-timey intermission music, or changed the lyrics to avoid copyright infringement.

Also, the prices are both fairly accurate and hilarious. <3

I like how he denotes that last punch with an arrow, in case we couldn't tell that that is where the punch is happening.
Also I think Peanut should draw bigger if he wants to color his comics, it might make it a tad easier to stay inside the lines.

The grey dog's anatomy-defying perma-scowl is also amusing.
