HP cards project

Post by A-coro »

So someone else started a HP cards project, but didn't finish it. Looked like fun so I picked it up-I'll see how far I can take this.
Res gets one first since he's still not on the cast list.

So... how do you play with these cards? Or are they not for playing, but just for collecting?

for now, just collecting. As I work on 'em, I'm also trying to figure out a good way to set up a game for 'em, but I don't have any idea where to start designing a card game. I guess the easy way would be to rip off an already existing card game, but I don't know any. I think I'll go online sometime and see if I can find a simple one to use.

I think you can start by thinking: "How do I win this card game?" For example, "you win when you have no cards left in your hand", "you lose when there are no cards left in your hand", "the person with the best card combination wins", "the person who gets the highest point wins", "the person who loses all his point loses", etc.

Once you have a goal, you can start working slowly toward there. At least, this is how I would design a card game.

That sounds like a good idea. The only drawback is that I would probably end up with something too close to Go Fish. I'll keep working on it, but at my current rate, it would be awesome if anyone could offer up some ideas.
in the meantime, here's Joey!

Yuck. It's now fixed, thanks for the heads up.
Although, I'll probably end up replacing the bio section anyway later on.

Perhaps you can base the game on a social status way. Like Joey v.s. Bino= Joey lose

Social Status stufff.

Ugh, nothing like that please. If you are still making these, there should be some type of boarder on the edge. At least until you decide to do something. These would be nice for just collectibles I think. Or, you could go a four/five elements way. And then, and then, and then...Uh oh, I better stop.

I was actually thinking of using the borders as a part of the game. I just don't know how that would work out right now, since I was planning on having the color-scheme based on a combination of eye, fur, and collar color. So far, a lot of the ones I've started on end up looking too similar to each other, so I'll probably scrap that idea. I was considering doing a social kind of deal for a go-fish type game. As in 'you got any dog-club members?' But that would probably get too complicated.
