Re: Housepets: The Radio Show
I can always try Mrs Sandwich, I mean I can be a female voice, I do it all the time in my Drama classes, but as sliceofdog says the shouting is the hardest part to keep it still sounding like a female
Re: Housepets: The Radio Show
Personally, I'd rather not hear a dude trying to play a female part.
That's just me, though.

Spoiler alert: My real name is Kirby. BAM!

That's fair enough but somebody has got to at least try, I mean it won't hurtPersonally, I'd rather not hear a dude trying to play a female part.

I don't think anybody especially wants to, but unfortunately it's not looking like we have much choicePersonally, I'd rather not hear a dude trying to play a female part.

I'd rather have a female Mrs Sandwich, but if that's not happening then surely a male one with a 'female voice' is better than nothing?
Besides, don't we have a male Grape?

I'm sorry, you might be right. I've seen Obbl around, but never had much to do with him/her so I couldn't know :pTha Housedog wrote:Isn't Obbl Grape? Obbl is male.
If you have any thought in your mind that you may be able to pull off a Mrs. Sandwich, AUDITION NAOW

Re: Housepets: The Radio Show
Aww, I was enjoying my androgyny
But, yes, extra emphasis on the Mrs. Sandwich. And really, what is it about the human parts that we don't have any filled? (Except Jeeves, but who doesn't want to play Jeeves )

Next time I'm recording (should be fairly soon) I'll try out Officer Bill and Thomas Milton. Don't know as if I'd be much good at the other male humans, at least none I can think of.
Oh, and technically Joel as a human (or should I say King as a human...) has been filled too :p
Re: Housepets: The Radio Show
Well, I decided to try Mrs. Sandwich again with some voice editing... didn't work. Instead, I managed to sidetrack myself and come up with a voice for Sergeant Ralph. Here it is (and yes, I did send a copy to Teh Brawler).

Re: Housepets: The Radio Show
That sounds good Enty! I'm not quite sure how you got from trying Mrs Sandwich to doing that voice, but whatever works! XD
The two things I'd say are that the quality of the recording (the literal sound quality, not how good your voice was) was quite poor, it sounded like there was a fan in the background or something, and that the way you pronounced "worried" seems to break the accent very slightly. It sounds more like "wuwied", which, in my opinion at least, doesn't really fit with the whole Southern Military/Cop thing you've got going on.
Just my 2 cents. Other than that it was great, good luck getting the part

And as a dog, don't forget that. I'm using the same voice for him as Joel and as King.sliceofdog wrote:That's a good point actually...Obbl wrote:And really, what is it about the human parts that we don't have any filled? (Except Jeeves, but who doesn't want to play Jeeves )

Is there a narration spot? I could do that, just bought a 90$ microphone and 35 dollar sidesound voicereduction secondary microphone. X3 however, I don't think that I could voice someone, considering my voice is utterly low. 030

XD I know, I know, don't fret. I was just saying that Joel specifically has been filled because we were talking about how few humans had been tried yet.And as a dog, don't forget that. I'm using the same voice for him as Joel and as King.
Also, I looked at the new names, but who's "Jim-jim"? I seriously can't remember who that is o_0

My auditions for Lester, Spot, and a few characters neglected (limerick guy and TV announcer)
already submitted via PM, so don't tell me this won't count. this is only for peer review.
I apologize for bad quality and slip-ups during the recording.

Re: Housepets: The Radio Show
Due to gaining a netbook, after my other laptop died T.=.T, I am able to write scripts on my journey to school, as it takes me an hour to get there
So I should have the first arc written by about lunch time tomorrow (GMT London) although I have a version of Arc 2 done, finished that today, and there is a good reason for the second arc being done before the first ^.=.^
So our project here should be well on the way soon! Hopefully >.=.<

If I could find the time to record something, I'd be quite interested in auditioning for Fido.
there is no such thing as luck. if there was, there would surely be at least one person with all of it, and nothing bad would happen to them ever. but as far as I can tell, bad things happen to everyone.

Okay.... so, I think tonight I'm going to go out and buy (basically) a 30 dollar mic for my comp that I'll use to audition for more roles.... specifically Rufus... and (maybe) one other, I dunno.... Anyway, once I get that I'll be set for work.
I'm going to go to a Furry Convention wearing a shirt that says "I'm a Furry. All I do I Pawrty" Please tell me you get that joke.

I have a bad affect on radios, I seem to cause the signals to go bad, that and TV signals.
I finally finished Arc 1 and Arc 2, so they will be sent for verification
