I wouldn't say the cartoon was bad before. To me something is only bad if it fails at its purpose. The old cartoons was made for two reasons. To entertain little girls and to make them buy merchandise. The little girls liked it and they bought the stuff. By those standards the show was good. Plus its not like anyone else was really supposed to like it. That would be like a teenager complaining about the quality of Bob the Builder.

But I digress. I'm looking forward to the new season because they're supposed to be adding a villian. I enjoy my villians.That and it means more chaos emeralds of harmony action.

I never said the older generations of the cartoon was bad, Just not as good. The reason for that is because the target audience was mostly little girls. Laurens concept for the future of mlp was to exceed the target age and gender and it was a huge success. but the fact that there are over 3 times more older males than there are female fans is kinda creepy

really? I hope its (The great and powerful) Trixie. if she learned more magic anyway :/

I agree. With the magic she did use when trying to fight the Ursa Minor (the lightning, the rope, that stuff), she probably could've taken down a manticore, methinks.

Personally, I'm hoping we get a Friendship is Magic-version of Tirek. He was awesome!

Well same writers, same animatoers and artist. Plus she keeps the job as Consultent whatever so she still has some control. As far as I'm concerned alls well the ends well.

Of course Tails said the same thing and we all saw what happened to Station Square.
