Re: Another bit of fanart
Aww...Thank you...
Re: Another bit of fanart
Hi, my artist name is Abrr2000 and having read all the way through the housepets comic to some not unconsiderable ammount of glee, I couldnt help but want to draw a few comic sequences using the characters therein.
this is my first real attempt (and was done on the train with no reference handy)
Note: I am aware that King's collar and Pete's tash, hat and top are not QUITE right. and will correct these in any future drawings I do of them.

My ideas have a general use license, no one can call "dibs" on them except for me. 'cause they're mine obviously.
Also, awesome someone listened to my awesome idea's for once.

Well now I have to give up my practice drawings. You've probably already seen em both =P.
Looking forward to the comic sequence you have planned abrr2000.

Re: Another bit of fanart
ReCreate seems to have an affinity towards pointing out grammar mistakes.
So now would be a good time to point out the mistake in his own signature: "Note: My avatar is changes once a week."
We make grammar mistakes, we get it, you don't have to point them out =P.

Re: Another bit of fanart
I drew that one without references, so King ended up much more childlike .
I'm not used to drawing, erm, furries? either. From what I could gather, people are larger than animals.
Looking at it now, I notice several obvious mistakes I made. A bit too late to fix.
You kind of found that image several pages and several weeks back .

I was reading through the thread, And since that was only about 1 or 2 pages back from the current, I figured it wasn't that old. XD

Oh, man, now THAT is funny!
Only one thing, though--does Fox have pads on his hands? I think Bill Watterson learned it's better not to do that....

Fox and King = Calvin and Hobbes? I always liked the pads, even if Watterson said they were iffy.ChewyChewy wrote:

That's a really nice drawn comic, and funny, too . But dogs like baths! Cats dislike them.

No, they don't equal Calvin and Hobbes, but I don't think Rick puts pads on their hands either.Ebly wrote:Fox and King = Calvin and Hobbes? I always liked the pads, even if Watterson said they were iffy.ChewyChewy wrote:

Ahh, I've been looking forward to this.
Nice strip abrr2000, you seem to have furries down pat.
Though I wonder why I just now notice Pete's weird skin coloration.
And as the others said, dogs actually enjoy baths =P.

firstly, thankyou all for your positive commets. this makes me feel all happy inside and I apreciate every single post. It is a very nice change from the usual silence my work gets (and I can never work out why)Esquire Fox wrote:Ahh, I've been looking forward to this.

secondly pete's hands are actualy gloves (and the exact colour used in the comic)
thirdly. In response to the people saying that all dogs like baths, I would dissagree. Open water on the other hand, yes all dogs love that.
but when it comes to dogs and liking/disliking baths, it's very much down to the individual dog... and apparantly fox doesnt like his baths. (it was funnier that way)
I know of at least one dog where I'm banned from saying the word bath anywhere near it as the dog in question tends to get very distructive in it's desire to be elsewhere. I personally think many dogs that dont like baths belong to owners who tend to get soap in there eyes. (just because the bottle says it doesnt sting doesnt mean it ACTUALLY doesnt sting.)
